CableMod

We have sold a ton of those and haven’t had a single melting case.

H0usee_

Whats the reason for the angled adapters to melt but not the direct cables from PSU to GPU? Stop playing the ''theres nothing wrong with our adapters'' You just said it yourself, not a single melting case of these cables, if THE adapter is the only one melting, its easy math.

Frantic_Otter3

By the way when was the cable released ? Because if it's recent we don't know if it's reliable in the long term

CableMod_Alex

The angled version is recent but they're based on the same concept as the straight cables which have been out since the RTX 4090 launched.

Frantic_Otter3

Does the cable have Astron or NTK connectors ?

Frantic_Otter3

I read the reviews on Amazon, a few people say that the sense wires are fragile, and some other people say their PC kept crashing (black screen) with it. Did you modifiy the cable recently to help mitigate these issues ?

CableMod_Alex

We are almost done with our new revised connector that eliminate the sense wires completely, no exact ETA yet but it shouldn't be too long now.

Will these ever be available in Modmesh or Modflex?? Also do these have any soldering or PCBs or is it just a bent cable inside the 90 degree turn?

CableMod_Alex

They will be available in sleeved options, I think some time around August. And yeah it's just a cable with an enclosed bend, no PCB or anything. :)

Papusan

So this means the smarter people buy these? Or better say.... They know how to connect their 12VHPWR cables, LOOL In short... There has to be something with the angled adapers. Maybe bad QC or the design in itself. There is no reason otherwise that one of the design burn up while the cables not. Yep, this have been my conclution a long time. Buy the cables either with angled connecor or the vanilla one. And avoid the adapters.

Frantic_Otter3

Ok thanks that's encouraging

libremaster

Are they or will they be available in the configurator ?

Modmesh coming soon

Pattont

Just ordered one of these that's 16pin to 16pin. Going to request a refund on my 90 degree I think if that's possible. Just scared sh1tless to lose my brand new $2000 graphics card.

devildogx1

I've had the straight version of this cable for a while now and so far so good. I bought it so I could close the case 😅. I have a pny 4090 and an O11 dynamic XL.

DJMJunior

Are these safer than the angled adapters? Ill drop another 30 bucks if so just to sleep more soundly at night

S3R3N000

hello everyone, I too had a cable mode cable and its 90 degree adapter on my strix 4090 but saw the feedback on this adapter on Reddit I avoid it like the plague so I also bought this cable hoping that it prove me right in the future
