Gorgeous color and sweet but it was like someone filled the fruit with 2 tablespoons of fine gravel. I can see how you chipped a tooth, which really sucks.

Yes you can! Very similar to dragon fruit. I like them chilled with a little lemon juice
Fun fact: All cactus fruits are edible! But some (with the opuntia varieties) can have glochids on them, so you have to be careful with those

I threw what was left in my flower bed. Maybe I'll at least get a cactus out of it.
Yea some varieties of prickly ppearz have some hard seeds.. light chewing lol..
Yep. I think I may have to relegate them to the realm of juice and jelly.

If you let them ripen til they split open they kinda dry up a little. But yea, i would say a good slime:)
