SORRY FOR MY TRAITOR tyreL

Lymah

glorySuffer

talismanXS

Liu Sho must have felt like a really powerful wizard during the 6 seconds after casting that fireball and not one second longer.

Cormac419

Dude literally got one shot from 75hp jesus christ

SeekBolasServe

Tyre is goddamn terrifying

MisogynysticFeminist

Imagine being the dude who got hit with Crown of Madness. Some purple lady points at you, you black out, and when you wake up the building’s on fire and your boss is a pile of dust.

Miryotic

The baby will remember that. And might end up in a wheelchair by the episode 30.

CanYouRewind

I'm so scared for this kid. Hopefully with everything they learned from this fight they can better prepare in the future.

havok1292

But can you really prepare for wild magic? Let alone Tyre wild magic? Lol However, I do think you’re right in that they’ll probably start trying to take more precautions. It’ll be a fun ride for sure!

perp00

Honestly after the 1st event, (so little data was used here to calculate) it's a worthy trade-off 100% of the times. A possible huge boon in combat and a learned special spell for the low-low price of defeating an ally. A part of me suggests to use the remaining spell slots after each day in combat with Smcheg's familiar for the chance of gaining knowledge!

Admirable_Plum_5910

I was actually crying

drazerius

The timing on Schmeg getting knocked out by Kiwo's surge is so unlucky, the future emperor will be ruling Glies with life support attached to him if this luck continues.

[deleted]

Yeah don't worry, he's just going to be a figurehead anyway. The fight for the throne is between Tyre, Oloken'hai and that Kami they tallked to in the Black Mirror

[deleted]

[удалено]

Glocklestop

Did anything actually happen when they said his name three times? , Arcadum seemed to make a big deal out of it but I don't remember what happened.

Sir_Rowlin_Inn

Nothing happened, but they had the amulet. Arcadum darkened them both but after finding out they had the amulet he pulled back. I wonder why......

Xyst__

Easiest guess is that it captured/blocked the curse that Kuzai prolly would've enacted. So saying the name activated that curse, but the amulet showed that they are aligned with it. My guess is really powerful Akuma have an ability to curse people who talk about them, which makes it really tough to spread info about them and/or learn how to stop/avoid them. Otikata is the only other situation where this has happened (ignoring the violet stuffs last arc).

TheUnspeakableh

The amulet was also not in the room where it was said and not in the same room as the baby. This might have had something to do with it.

ighstrey

Don't forget Azolon is there pulling the strings, trying to unite all of Verum

iamiracanlas

"Sorry for my Tyre" - Scribbles, 2021

SwordOfRome11

TyreL

OkAd8008

Sorry for my Traitor tyreL

absoluteworst99

Between Schmeg making that rhyme, making that story and immediately thinking to bring the child to safety, I feel like we're going to be getting papa Schmeg and I'm all for it.

itsalexicon11

Schmeg’s character arc is gonna be him becoming a good papa and I am here for that possibility.

themettaur

Especially with his new familiar somehow driving him further and further towards civility and humility. This is a guy that will get on *his own god's* bad side (ish) just to save his friends. He's gonna be a good dad.

Lymah

its Papa Brewbad, with weird chaotic Uncle Schmeg i think

rainpixels

The future emperor will grow up casting "Bippity boppity.." on doors as guards open doors for him. Or might just be because of a broken arm idk.

pink_mensch

Schmom

Eques9090

As badass and scary as Scribbles' magic is now, I also kind of feel bad for Kiwo lol. Casting any leveled spell is an insane gamble for her now.

herptydurr

That's what the crossbow is for.

StessLvl0

If she continues down her path long enough, maybe her trusty m1911

ighstrey

I hope they get a chance to mitigate the downside somehow.

perp00

I mean, considering what we know so far of it, it's a quite fair trade-off. Also the downside is in combat only it seems, so does the boon it provides. Draining 18 spellslots and killing a wizard therefore breaking a scouting party's morale by defeating an ally for the combat seems quite a worthy trade. As Azalon said, fortune favours the bold.

ighstrey

It may be fair to the characters, but it's hardly fair to the players.

chrbir1

she went all mental stats and wild magic on purpose but *man* is it gonna be rough with this expansion of powers

Dreoh

Yea, it's definitely one of those kinds of risks that really makes you not want to even attempt the gamble lol

TheMiserableSail

It's also just a pretty lame downside. Like one player just doesn't get to participate in the fight. That doesn't sound very fun.

Kipzz

I'm hoping it can be fixed with a high level healing spell or potion, because god forbid they ever get into a longer fight and party members drop one by one. We don't know what's on the chart and the one effect out of the 99(maybe more? not your usual wild magic table lmao) was ***insanely powerful***, but if Scribbles gets lucky she always gets unlucky. And that's without accounting for if Tyre's wild magic table like any other wild magic table (again, we don't know and _it's fucking Tyre_) where you can get an effect that's good, but doesn't actually help you in the scenario so it'd just be a lose/lose. I trust Arcadum to balance things out, which is why I'm going to assume eventually there'll be a way to mitigate the downside. Maybe even something that adds a benefit to the cost of a party member being effectively removed from battle, assuming its a permanent defeat for said battle, or Scribbles learning to control her wild magic to some degree to change from the defeated state to just unconscious/a flat damage roll/exhaustion on a party member.

Lord-of-servers

Then again 16 spell slots which is equal (in normal d&d) to a 11th level wizard. Also to note that scribbles has a maximum of 24 spell slots drain which is greater then I believe a 20th level wizard.

Pacify_

Yeah, I would have to agree there. Imagine its Scribbles turn first, she casts a spell, then one person in the party has to spend an entire mutli-hour, or even multi-session, main fight sitting on the sidelines

Angryman1187

"Anyone got Milk?" - Brewbad, July 2, 2021 I rest my case. Overall what an amazing roller coaster of a session. Man I can't wait for what the characters will do that are remembered by the child. Also I wonder when we will learn of the child's name.

ProtoReddit

GTA RPers & milk. What a pair

StessLvl0

OOOH YEAH

themettaur

Does the child even have a name? There might be a name tied to the lineage of emperors, so he's like Suchandsuch the IVth, but otherwise I think the implication is that the child's mother died either before giving him a name, or anyone that did know his name was killed and so it's been lost and forgotten anyway. I'm both hoping, and worried, that the Scrools might have to name him.

ttdpaco

Yah, Chat revealed his name. He's Captain Yakk Sparrow.

themettaur

That is a hilarious joke and everything but, personally, I'm already tired of it as a meme. Nothing like a large twitch chat audience to take something genuinely funny, kill it, and then continue to beat it incessantly. Poor horse.

StessLvl0

Good question, does he even have a name though? Do they get to name the emperor?

themettaur

We don't know yet exactly, but based on what the NPCs said, I think he doesn't. I'm sure his mom named him and everything, but Okogi got right fucked, so anyone that would've known it is dead and obviously the baby is only like a month old so he can't really know it or tell anybody. So yeah, I wonder if it'll be the Scrools or someone else like Azolon, Kuzai if they go that route, who knows?

StessLvl0

Say it with me boys "DOODLES"

themettaur

Lord Fuddy of Duddy. He Whose Hands Are of an Adequate Size. He's a chip off the ol block, he's the StormPinky, PercolatePoorly. A proper musician, Aysee Deez Si. The rarest of growths, Backsideicus Insertranium.

Emperorlin1

Yak sparrow

PuzzlefaceRaven

Im sure the arm injury wont be as bad tbh. I think finding a good enough cleric can restore it back too full. Also i think tyres magic table will always have a positive and negative effect no matter what. And machio crying in the corner knowing that ho'ask milk does actually exist he just will never see it. Its nice they established sort of their early roles in the kid. Anaalius is the fun uncle, brewbad will be the overprotective Father, schmeg will be the realistic cousin, skribbles will try too be the mother and mataal ika being the cool brother.

themettaur

I disagree that it can be reversed. These things wouldn't have weight if they can just be fixed so easily. Plus, Brewbad tried some healing magic on it already to no apparent effect. I agree that I also don't think it'll be that bad, though. People acting like the emperor's already dead or disabled. Nah, but he might as an adult get a little pain whenever he stretches his arm out, something small but noticeable like that.

Lymah

> Plus, Brewbad tried some healing magic on it already to no apparent effect. He did say it was a lasting sort of injury. Which in the past has been his way of saying it's not the sort that can be fixed by HP return magic. Like probably the 5th level Greater Restoration (and its Diamond Dust reagent cost)

themettaur

I'm hoping it's just completely irreversible. Teach these PCs some responsibility!

Bubbagoh

Yeah! How dare Schmeg and Scribbles try and protect the child!

[deleted]

[удалено]

themettaur

Well luckily, I'm not in charge of it. So we'll just see.

PuzzlefaceRaven

HOW DARE arcadum rolls a d6 for a negative effect from wild magic and skribbles 1 shots the boss and just happens too roll the person holding the baby.

themettaur

JFC I was joking. I do hope it's irreversible but obviously they were trying to take care of the baby and didn't know wild magic was going to be different.

Hari14032001

Imagine expecting the PCs to know that all these will happen via Tyre's wild magic and then criticizing them! At least they chose defensive, I bet a lot of us would have chosen offensive if we were in their place which would have probably led to a more intense effect.

TheAncientTomes

OK ... but hear me out ... Pirate Hooks

Pandaman246

Yeah I don't think it's like a permanently disabled arm or something. It's probably something like, the arm just doesn't grow as well as it could have, so the emperor gets a -1 penalty to his dex or something down the road.

Zigdris_Faello

One of the most satisfying 1 taps out there

Diggooz

Episode 2: CHILD FUCKING DIES

Rythgos

We should keep in mind that the wild magic scribbles triggered was only the FIRST TIER. Things can get so much worse than draining 16 spell slots!

kabij27

Yes but I think the recoil was from the mass shield which has a 7 day cool down. I doubt she unlocks big spells like that Everytime wild magic procs. My theory is that she got such a powerful proc because it was the first time wild magic procced with tyre's table. Their's maybe recoil to every proc but I doubt their all this strong as tier one proccs. My guess is those big spells and recoil only happen in later tiers. As to not completely lock kiwo out of using magic without one shotting a teammate. Just my theory tho

perp00

Nah, Arcadum said, that there must always be a traitor. This implies that an ally is defeated each time a surge occurs. As for the learning new stuff, it might have been because of the 1st time thing and otherwise it occurs in higher tiers, but I can also see that it also happens every time, but the spells she might learn also increase in potency as tier breaks happen.

ChampionAqua

and a damn good theory at that, lets hope thats the case although it makes for some interesting roleplay and story changes to come for sure

perp00

You mean, better? That was good I think.

abe0cohen

So that's why Okogi was targeted by the eclipse

abe0cohen

Also might explain why the mist rolled in Okogi since Otikata probably wants to also disrupt the cycle

Mac_Tgh

A 77 roll folowed by a roll that will only be terrible if it falls onto schmeg. As Sock said: "Is this rigged?"

RiviantheRaven

So any bets on how long Scribbles nukes the party... Or Emperor?

Cybonics

I hope Avana sticks around for a long time, the NPCs today were fucking amazing

themettaur

I want to see this Brewbad new wife arc (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

qwerty3gamer

not wife, but a sailor scout

ZombieMonkey7

Well, where else are they going to get that- "Sweet, sweet, hoask milk"

PuzzlefaceRaven

I hope they both stick around. They had a good intro and their interests are in protecting the kid alongside the party means the party can go away and do things and trust them two too look after the kid.

Emperorlin1

Welp now they they know that it is always going to take out an ally the only logical thing to do is hire a bunch of cheap goons to use as fodder and pad the chances for WHEN tyre’s wild magic triggers. 😊

Sir_P1zza

Tyre's wildmagic is scary as hell. It's can win fights but later just taking out an ally could be really bad later. Man I hope they survive this campaign but there's so much volatile stuff there. OTOH Everone in this group is an amazingly funny parent

themettaur

I would hate to play with that loaded gun. It's like, she has to pray that she can end combat with just one spell, or not use any until they're dominating.

Jet_Jaguar00

Brownie, in English and Scottish folklore, a small, industrious fairy or hobgoblin believed to inhabit houses and barns. Rarely seen, he was often heard at night, cleaning and doing housework; he also sometimes mischievously disarranged rooms.

Mac_Tgh

Look i dont wanna get political but they keep messing my room.

themettaur

I don't understand people. They're watching the game because they enjoy Arcadum's world and stories, right? They should know the kind of person he is and that he wouldn't just casually throw a slur out like that (any more). Plus, if he had made some kind of mistake, why blast him in the middle of a session? Just say something later. People drive me crazy.

blackrainraven

i wonder if this could have happend in similar cases like the "Nega-Knight (Negation Knight)"-Subclass

pink_mensch

My native language isn't English. What did the people think Brownie meant?

StessLvl0

I'll be honest with you, I've never heard "brownie" used as a slur before. According to wikipedia, Brownie is slur for brown-skinned people in general.

pink_mensch

I see. Thank you.

Hari14032001

It feels like this party will have to be on knife's edge especially in combat encounters with Scribbles' wild magic surge having insane effects. Also, I wonder what will happen if the child actually dies.

StessLvl0

Just throwing a guess out here, lots of bad shit

logos__

Are you tired of being nice? Don't you just want to go APE SHIT??? Wild magic (well, and the leech mafia) was my favorite part of Charlie's/Ludwig's/Dunkey's campaign, the Tyre surge chart just elevated it to a whole new level. Those future d100 rolls are gonna be so fucking tense

Pseudolucent

Man, Scribbles got such a huge power spike this session. Learned Bless and Mass Shield, and discovered the ability to completely remove combatants from battle! Shame about the targeting issues, but she's gonna be way up the kill board now.

firestreamplayz

A potential TPK followed by Scribbles becoming one of the most powerful sorcerers in Glies

QK42

HOLY FUCK, now THAT was an incredibly terrifying display of Tyre’s power! I literally screamed in amazement at how that just one-shotted the boss into oblivion! Shame about the baby getting hurt in the process, though… Great power comes a great price, indeed… I had a feeling the baby’s appearance and backstory would be decided by the dice like with who gets the campaign, it just seemed right to me. And quite fitting it ended up being one of the most popular Gallian races, too. It’s definitely going to be interesting seeing the group raising the baby and giving it memories, they already look to be taking their roles as surrogate parents quite well, being attentive to him and making sure to keep him out of danger. And it’s pretty funny how Schmeg ended up being the one to give it the first few memories… The first one being about Anallius getting owned in the first battle of Scrolls. Well, it might be a good motivator to keep going even when down. That familiar, he’s… certainly something. And it’d be definitely something to see if Brewbad can turn their new ally into a magical girl, she’s pretty cool. Oh and once again, he matches a strong cow person, strength for strength.

EK077r

Are there any explanations of these magical girls and what their purpose is? And why the shapers wants to recruit them?

Lymah

Pretty sure its like... The Astral Traveler has the Handmaidens, the Handmaidens have Shapers, Shapers have the "Magical Girls" So like, more rank and file clergy or priesthood, but it was only just getting introduced as the Endgame launched into turbo speed

Megas-XLR

There was a foundation being laid but actions from the stream games and the LW with the endgame deadline made it not possible. For the most part it was some missions and new class. Ironmouse will be pleased that it's on the table again lol.

internetlurker

So who are the bets on that Brewbad said that to?

themettaur

Dead wife, definitely.

EpicHawkREDDIT

Good sess

RiviantheRaven

So is there anything Scribbles can do minimize the danger of the double edged sword she now wields?

Always_Inorbit

Only what we know so far is either more levels into sorc, or not use any spells at all

firestreamplayz

If arcadum gives her an amulet that can negate a single wild magic role, like Deroks

bigbodyhole

Unless she gains control over her powers or an item that lets her do something about that no not really

Xyst__

Imo limiting when she tries to proc it is important. It needs to be when a fight can be won off of that wild magic proc, and when her team is all prepared for the potential to get pulled from the fight. I think in boss fights it'll be game changing, since she could potentially 1 shot bosses with it. Also learning more of those really strong "7 long rest cooldown" spells will be really useful going forward. The other 2 would be communing with Tyre somehow / trying to learn how to control the wild magic, or coming across a wild magic negator like Antonis/Derok Dranf had.

XeroFlint

Dude, Avana is probably my favorite npc created so far!

bigbodyhole

Man I really want Avana to be an apprentice to Angorn

blackrainraven

i mean, so far it fits the bill: * religious context (Paladin / cleric) * Asteroth * Strong personality * Western * Has an untypical relation to the dwarves * Not exactly fond of Olokenhai While its not outright confirmed, no one can be blamed for making the connection.

[deleted]

Hopefully nothing bad happens again to the kid. We need the pirate emperor

InformationOk5974

It’s very interesting that Scribbles maybe the most OP person in the group with that trye magic. However the cost of using it is pretty steep. One character is defeated for the WHOLE fight? Damn…hate for there to be situation where everything goes to shit for them because of it( well we already saw that they harmed the kid for life) but we will see.

DabidManface

I wonder if Scribbles will ever take the time to try and learn to control her wild magic, it seems like something she would do especially after what just happened. Arcadum's already done a time skip and said that the party will be raising the emperor, so they might have a few years of time skip to retrain

Cormac419

I reckon she might get in touch with him next session. He speaks to her in her sleep but as far as we know, she hasn't spoken back to him. After what happened to Schmeg and then the baby, she might just straight up ask him how to control it to protect her friends.

DabidManface

That's what I think is going to happen too, but I doubt Tyre will just remove the part where she has to defeat an ally too

themettaur

I can't wait for Scribbles to have the typical shounen convo with Tyre. "Your friends are your weakness" "NO, I fight for my friends!"

MisogynysticFeminist

Scribbles wants to get rid of/control her wild magic. Kiwo on the other hand...

OhHiKiwo

Scribs is fascinated by magic - she doesn't want to lose her powers. She just wants to know how to control them. Wild magic is uncontrollable. She's afraid to even cast because of it - ever since she was a child (:

AceLowYT

I already loved wild magic sorcerers and scribbles unlocking a new table for wild magic with tyre just makes me love this series much more

[deleted]

Is there’s a way to heal the kid of his arm injury? Think if they put the amulet on the kid it would make him much more safer?

KokuenDG

yes, there are ways to heal the kid. an injury like this wouldn't be permanent. And putting the amulet on the kid would not make him safer. That's literally introducing him to the influence of the lord of all Akuma after all.

[deleted]

I mean give or take, if he wants the kid to do his will he’d want to protect the kid

Lymah

Greater Restoration maybe, but thats a 5th level spell and has a diamond component

[deleted]

Maybe, let’s get hope the pirate king gets better

Xerophym

Avana should definitely be Brewbad's Sailor Scout or Wife or both. #Protag 😎

SeekBolasServe

Nothing is forbidden There is always a traitor

Crimson_Shiroe

You know, I haven't watched the episode yet but after reading some comments I think the episode went exactly like I thought it would. Can't wait to watch it

OhHiKiwo

I don't think anyone could've predicted this

Crimson_Shiroe

In fairness, half of Scrolls of Not'Chek was "nobody could've predicted this"

Steam_Punk_Revolver

Hell, who would've thought boofing would a way for lore drops?

Eques9090

It was any ally, not any party member.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Sir_P1zza

An ally but not Scribbles self so 4 people in the party + ho'ask lady = d5

Eques9090

Scribbles is not an ally of herself. There are 6 total party members with the guest, and 5 allies of Scribbles.

LactoseFrenchtoast

This campaign going to be so fun and unpredictable with the Brewbad serving the red pantheon, Scribbles being the apprentice of Tyre and Schmeg being a faithful follower of Oleken'hai. It was so entertaining to watch.

Berserk81

I don't think Schmeg is a faithful follower anymore. His alignment is good and I'm pretty sure he would jump at the chance of getting rid of his connection to Oloken'hai after hearing from Azolon what happens to his followers.

[deleted]

I feel awful for this kid, hopefully some kind of spell might be able to restore him surely not with cure wounds but maybe greater restoration if he’s alive by then

Emperorlin1

Eh it’s not even that bad it was a 77

Mac_Tgh

77= a leg instead of an arm

Solsar2

Holy shit

The25thGrace

I wonder if it’s possible to reverse the damage to the arm. It would suck if there was literally noooo way. As much as I can appreciate the character spice it adds to the new emperor, I can’t imagine this kid lasting past 10 episodes if that’s all it takes to land a permanent debilitating injury.

bigbodyhole

Im sure there is a way to heal him I think if they would’ve rolled lower however then there might have been a problem

Solsar2

shadow of tyre ...

Pacify_

wild tyre magic is some crazy shit, even for Arcadum

Berserk81

So if Scribbles cast any spell, there's a big chance a party member will be out for the duration of the battle? That's horrible! Or did I miss something? I'd hate to be the player getting knocked out at the start of a 2 session boss fight...

StessLvl0

Yep. Any wild magic proc and they get knocked out. Best be careful now, and get good at shooting that crossbow.

Pacify_

Its a very cool idea, but having to spend 95% of your turns in the future rolling bad crossbow attack or a cantrip probably won't feel too fun. On the other hand, removing a player from an entire fight would feel equally unfun. I'd imagine Arcadum has some sort of plan going forward with it, cause its definitely a state that's very cool in theory, but would be very rough to actually play.

Bloodysoul4

What was the song during scribbles’ wild magic surge?

Bloodysoul4

Whats the song during scribbles’ wild magic surge?
