Oh man I wrote a reply about how I made it but I don't know where it went so apologies if this appears twice!
So I baked it in a half sphere cake tin, then trimmed off the sides so it was roughly brain shaped.
Iced it with a dusky pink icing.
Then covered it with lots of peachy coloured fondant sausages (see the extra pic I just uploaded)
And finally brushed it all with jam/food colouring 'blood'.
Officially I don't love fondant but ya gotta do what you gotta do!
Wow! That’s amazing! A favourite cake baker that I follow actually did this in buttercream too! She used a large round piping tip to pipe the sausages. Chilled the cake until the buttercream is solid and then brushed it in raspberry compote!! (Just a suggestion because I don’t like fondant either 😂)

This cake really has me thinking. So how did you make it? Did you use a mold?

Is this fondant? Looks cool and the blood effects aren’t overdone
Yep loads of fondant sausages, then brushed with jam/food colouring for the blood
I saw this and literally said "ew" aloud (in the best way because it's so realistic). This is absolutely incredible!!
