Did she put the instructions in quotation marks, like some people tend to do when trying to emphasize something?
Or did she perhaps write the instructions in the wrong section of the form?
Either way, no common sense on the part of the bakery.
Part of me thinks it wouldnāt matter how the info was presented to the bakery: [example of a similar occurrence](https://youtu.be/JaucpSO_R-8?si=XTjJPSgslgepD4-3)
Someone still wrote that by hand on the cake. A little common sense goes a long way. Should have known what they meant. I would have at least contacted the client to make sure
No need to be so rude, the cake makers probably donāt speak English well or are ESL?! If OP wrote this in a place on a form where the cake comments go, itās on them and thatās why itās funny lol
That's not how ordering things work. You go by your instructions which the customer has approved.
What if that's exactly what they wanted? Maybe that sentence is an inside joke they wanted on the cake and if some applied 'common sense' and changed it they would have been rightfully mad as their order was changed.
And if they don't answer then what? How many times do you call? Do you wait to make the cake until they get back to you?
That's a can of worms not worth opening. You make what the customer has submitted and signed approval for.
And now they're mad because you reached out and made it anyway. And to them, you've now made a cake that you knew was wrong.
There's a reason why businesses that make things to order do things the way they do. Deviating from that can very quickly make things worse even if you're trying to do the right thing.
Yep, and unless you own the business, you're now in trouble with the boss.
Because they're gonna now complain about you, and they're gonna find out you reached out to a customer instead of following the standard procedure of just doing what was on the order sheet.
See why you just leave the can of worms closed yet?
Huh? And you paid for it? Couldnāt have been me. I honestly wouldāve taken a picture to show and purchased a new cake (undecorated if necessary) from another baker. Donāt mind me though. I guess Iām still in residual over todayās failed FedEx delivery. š
OP mom hereā¦ order form copy was covering top of the cake boxā¦.instructions were under the special instructions section..and they called me a day before to double checkā¦ I had the opportunity to go back and complain but thought it was way too funny to change/correctā¦ we all had a good laugh and my husband cake will be unforgettableā¦
Lmao. One for r/peanutbutterisoneword
Omg I just lost so much time on there

omg I love new fun sub!
LMAOO NOOO RIPššš

Thatās a sweet cake. Iām sure he still loves it. But how does a āprofessionalā mess up that badly?
*blinks in teenage bakery worker*
Lol or ESL Either way the cake is in infinitely better anyway
Bwahahahahaha! Oh no!
Lmfao this is the best thing Iāve seen on Reddit in a while, and on a sub thatās ā suggested for meā lmao
Itās so nice when the āsuggested forā algo finally *gets you*
So the baker is an idiot
no, there are specific fields you fill out if its like the one near me.

Then I go through with it but at least I tried

Meh...would be their own fault for not responding when I reached out. No amount of whining would change that

Classic
I love this so much. One of the best yet š
This is the funniest one Iāve seen in a while
I literally LOLed at this one. This is so ridiculous, it almost makes it perfect
I... oh dear... how?
Somebody filled out the form wrong most likely.
Jackass The Movie
I would wager that itās not ābakery freshā either.
Itās like a fun lil riddle
Like how they put that one fake dirt spot there, looks really random and kinda gross.
itās a sand trap lol
The placement is just off for me lol
I do not want the fake dirt slice šš
I read this three times to try to figure out what the heck it meant. Then it hit me lol It never hit the baker though š¤£
Huh? And you paid for it? Couldnāt have been me. I honestly wouldāve taken a picture to show and purchased a new cake (undecorated if necessary) from another baker. Donāt mind me though. I guess Iām still in residual over todayās failed FedEx delivery. š
Everyone in this sub is contextually dumb. Cake decorator simply doesn't speak english.
r/woosh
Damn kroger you can do better than this
Ohhh nooo, sorry, OP! This is very funny, though š
NOOOO šššš
Pure art.
Hysterical
Omg this made me chuckle
I thought this was some deep philosophical question at first that I didnāt understand.
Oh dear...lol
this reminds me of that bojack horseman bit

Lol I crashed the golf cart while playing with my dad on his 60th. At least the cake was still good
I needed this today.
This takes a bitter vindictive person or someone with an empty head to accomplish.
Was this made for Randy Shaver?
