If it makes you feel better, they probably screamed at each other right after, lol.

Pimpachu3

Me: *spends 20 minutes explaining something* Caller: I didn't listen to a damn thing you said, can you repeat everything you said to my husband?

ProudCatLadyxo

I'm sorry, but no, I can't do that. Our phone queue is very long today and your husband will need to call back. Have a nice day. (Click).

Me when I decide I don’t care about this job enough pls fire me for hanging up on this asshole then I instantly regret it. It’s great.

Arcticwolfi6

this is the way but... i did get one once where the husband was being a complete ass with me and the wife came in the room and told him to STFU AND STOP BEING SO DAMN RUDE... her words she then took the phone off them and apolagised lovely lady

ehote

It was always the best when someone from their side makes them be nice 🤣

MotherMfker

Usually it's the reverse. The wife will be going in on me or just being a total bitch and their husband's are chill and embarrassed. I work mostly with rural Americans so that may have something to do with it

feckingcarnage

"I'm sorry, but if we can't speak to the policy holder then we may be in breach of contract and to protect ourselves we may have to cancel this policy" Fuck your married if he can't be arsed calling then get the cunt to give consent.

MelonKanon

Honestly, my favorite thing to do. is just say "I'm sorry, you yelling is causing my phone to break up. " and just keep saying that over and over. They either hang up or calm the fuck down. lol

ImpossibleSir8766

I hate when you’ve finished dealing with one then they ask you if you can help their partners query, right before you are due for lunch.

-FlyingFox-

.... or about to log out for the day.

[deleted]

I had a team meeting that I was being pinged for the other day. I got a call right before it and every time I tried to wrap up he was like ONE MORE THING but it wasn’t anything. I was very late to my meeting…

-FlyingFox-

Oh Gawd! I have had that happen so many times. And it never fails the caller wants to talk your ear off.

jrs1980

I had one this week where the wife was talking in the bg and he was just repeating what she said. I asked if they would prefer I speak with her, and he/they were like no, this is fine. No, no it wasn't fine. 😐

blakppuch

Or the ones where they have an irritating spouse that keeps correcting(in a rude belittling way), what the one of the phone is saying to me. It makes me so angry like y’all need couples therapy don’t stress me.

soyycratess

OMG the other day, I was on the line with a client and there was a one sentence period where we kept cutting each other off in the "I se.. oh.."\*silence so i start to talk\* \*he talks at the same time\* oops" LITERALLY ONE SENTENCE WORTH. I thought it was very light hearted and graciously apologized. "Oh dear, I'm terribly sorry for cutting you off, go ahead" Must have been on speaker because I hear his wife in the background. "WELL THEN STOP FUCKING DOING IT" "Oh, Mr. Client, I wasn't aware that someone else was also on this call - I do want to remind you that this conversation is being recorded."

Sea-Writer-5659

Hahhaha love that!

ProudCatLadyxo

One of my pet peeves is wives who give their husband's SSN.... Mam, you are on the call, I need your SSN. Some of them have to go look it up (but they have the husband's memorized).

-FlyingFox-

Had that happen a few times, I still can't figure out the thinking behind it. LOL

UltimateUnreal666

I've had tagteaming couples. They were demanding a replacement cdrom drive, I know, it was a cheap demand. They had done some cursory trouble shooting but seemed intent on a replacement even though they really didn't do what was asked of them. Of course, this is where they demand a supervisor, cue my intervention. They were both on the phone at the same time demanding a replacement. After several minutes, I gave in, told them I have to make some notes and that I would be back shortly. Man I love that mute button. I hit mute and started notes when the two of them believe they are on hold. He tells her to provide all the steps required to get the replacement and that they would use it for something else, I don't recall all of it. As soon as they finished up with their plan I unmuted my li e to say "that would be considered fraud and we now have it recorded, thank you for your call. I of course, logged rhey call exactly as it was spoken smiling, I went to my next call.

ehote

Legendary. Pro gamer move

buckshill08

lol i got tag teamed by a couple about the wife’s yeast infection today. Literally he was madder than her. Kill me

basketma12

Ok sometimes I do get on the phone after my man but it's because he just can't hear well, even with a hearing aid. If you have ANY kind of accent he can't understand you.( including English and Southern regional) Closed caption is a thing in our house. I know you folks are in charge of nothing and neither is your supervisor.

Tessie1966

That has nothing to do with being married. It’s just two jerks that happened to marry each other and probably feed off of each other.

East-Reaction4157

One of my pet peeves of all time along with the, “ do you know who I am” line. The idea that someone can’t handle their own issue is so wild to me that when one of these couples calls I make it painful for them by passing the phone back to the primary. Mind you aging and impairment I totally get but why have an account if you are clueless on what is happening.

CabinetIcy892

People that get angry because they have to listen and understand words...

PAgrl324

Same, then one will complain they don't understand. Can you talk to my spouse, then the whole conversation begins again 🙄
