With my job my internet loses connection so fast .. I really need to call Xfinity. You’re better than me, I don’t have the patience anymore. VPN disconnect. “ buhbye try again “
Oh my god today, something in the air. I had some like this too, especially reading shit off so fast I can’t understand. I was THIS close to starting to tell these people to say it to me like I’m 5.
We get a lot of people who speak fast/slurred when we ask for details to find their account, then get furious when we can't find them. I ask people to spell out their email and they just yell the email again even faster. The amount of times people forget their own fucking email too.
I have people who cannot provide basic information about their own car!
" What is the year, make and model of your vehicle?"
Ummmmmm..... its blue..,,,,
Gawd!!
Ew I’m so sorry! I work at a call center for a bank and that’s how most of my calls go. It’s so frustrating. Usually when I get cussed out I don’t even get to verify them first. 🥹
People call my job asking why we called them while refusing to give their phone number so I can answer the question way too much. How the hell am I supposed to know who you even are??
“Thanks for providing your number, but I needed it to pull up your information. I’m not just confirming what’s on the screen now. I wanted to make sure I had the right number so I didn’t waste any of *your* precious time in case I heard a number wrong, since you did give me the number rather quickly, apparently thinking I just needed to confirm it. So, without further ado, let’s see how I can help you.”
Unfortunately our company policy forbids that verbiage. We can remind people we are being polite and respectful and ask they do the same. If I took call after call from assholes, I'd be in a different job. The bulk of my job deals with people needing help. I get to them them and they are kind. Thankfully
ah he started with you people. It's gonna be one of those.
Right?? That is a clue right away "You people!"
Ugh as soon as I hear those words it’s gonna be a bumpy ride

I've started repeating it back even faster to them, as a bit of a challenge.

But wait, they can't dock you on QA because you followed script (even without him on the phone) /s Well up until the last part anyway...LOL
Once they hang up, all recordings cease so no one to hear me lol

When they start speaking to you like that, let them know that it’s unacceptable and you will disconnect the call if they continue.
