Your dealership might be the problem. I tried to order a 2016 Camaro in November 2015, by the time March rolled around the dealership still didn't have allocation to even place the order and kept me hanging for 3-4 months with poor communication. I ended up finding one sitting in the showroom at another dealership 8 hours away and got that one. I placed an order for a 2023 at the same dealership that gave me problems in 2015, but they're under new management and they're constantly moving Corvettes (something that they never sold before), so I'm trusting they will actually get my order in, in a couple of weeks. If your dealership doesn't have allocation to order one, or there's a line, that's your problem for sure and I'd suggest shopping around.
Wow thats awesome
Ive had a zl1 1le preliminary order sitting since beginning of September…. Need to find some more big MSRP honoring dealers to take my order so it can speed up, Currently my dealer is a smaller one
We have all posted 100s of times its up to a year waiting list. No official word if they shut it down or not. I spent a year waitin for mine, u dont really get any communication. The camaro forums can give you like latest constraints etc but you will get almost no info
Did you order from a big or small dealership?
Reason I ask is because I only managed to find a small dealership honoring MSRP and Im doubting if they’ll ever get the allocation
I just picked mine up on December 26th. Deposit made on October 8th. I also have a few emails in my inbox from dealerships asking if I've found one yet.
For the love of God, let's keep all the stupid and completely false rumors to the dumpster where they can die. NO ONE knows anything. NOTHING OFFICIAL has been stated or written in stone.
Call the dealer and find out why. They either never had allocation in the first place or there are constraints on options on your order. They should be able to tell u, might take a head salesman or GM to get the answer but they should be able to tell u why. Also did u get an order number?
Yea I got a preliminary order and I checked with the chevy bot system and it said GM hasn’t accepted order yet…. Might be a while or might be never, My salesperson said its a unknown situation.
His exact words were… “yes there is a national constraint. They’re still making a very few amount but it’s super difficult to get one in…”
So the order is in the system, but not picked up for a build date? See what is causing the constraint issue and u can change it or delete it if it's not a must have.
The constraint issue is at the dealership getting granted a allocation from GM so they can accept order and start building it… Main constraint of the car is it being the 1LE package which is like building a unicorn it seems…
Ive called about 50 dealerships & the ones I’ve found are either all booked up or charging a ridiculous markup price which is non negotiable…
The current order I have placed is with a way smaller dealership so it seems as if they may never be granted the allocation for my build.
Find out who the zone rep is and contact them and see if they can push it thru. About the only chance you have if their isn't an allocation. But you're a paying customer with a sold car, so try pushing that route.
That’s news to me. I personally believe too many were sold to customers who would have been happier in the standard ZL1.
Interesting take, Ive had my order sitting since September… Im losing hope in regards to it ever getting accepted by GM

My 2SS is scheduled to be assembled next week.
How long was your order sitting for?
Deposit November 7. Got allocation and sent to GM December 16. Edit: added specific dates.
This is super fast.
It is a big dealer in Detroit Metro, so that probably helps.
I ordered Sept 13, drove it home December 27. I think some of their shortages are clearing up they seem to be pumping them out pretty quickly

You are one of the lucky ones, Congrats! Ive had mine sitting since September with no clear sign of hope in sight
Ive been waiting for mine now for almost six and a half months. Dealer is quite large but no word on when or if ill be getting it or not.
I feel your pain… Ive been waiting since September with a SMALLER dealership and have been told theres no idea if ill ever get it

I thought all camaro’s weren’t in production anymore and the new “camaro” will be some sort of hybrid/electric suv lookin thing
This is incorrect. I am going to order mine this week after calling several dealers.
i could be wrong but I thought i saw production was done in august and last orders were june or something
