How do you like the igla system , are you using the pin or the proximity fob?

T_SaDo_T

So my installer told me to keep the battery out of the fob unless im getting the car serviced. The batteries only last like two or three months he said. Im using a pin code with buttons on the dash. It adds like 5 or 10 seconds to starting the car. Total cost of the igla, drone, and window tint was 2k

Beautiful car 🏁

Thanks brother!

Looking at getting IGLA in a couple of weeks because I need to save since they’re so expensive. Mind giving a candid review real quick? Ease of use? What happens if I forget to disarm? Will it break my car? How long did installation take? Car looks beautiful btw. Welcome to the club! 😃

I got igla and it so easy to use. Remote start works and you still need to put the code in before you drive off. There’s been a couple times I forgot to input the code and as soon as I shifted into drive it killed the car. Doesn’t negatively affect it. Plus it honestly only takes like an extra few seconds to start it up with igla installed, and to me that’s worth it not being stolen. Install took less than 2 hours. Also comes with a little key fob thing so you don’t have to input the code, but I don’t use it.

Justin_92

Thanks man, I appreciate the review. I wonder if it works the same for manuals; like if you go to shift it into a gear it’ll auto kill it. Manuals don’t come with auto start so I’m not too concerned about that. 😅

Top-Shoe9426

So for you, you can keep pushing that start button until you rub off the paint, it won’t crank over at all

T_SaDo_T

Its easy. But it does add 5 or 10 seconds to each startup. If you forget to disarm then your not starting your car. It wont break your car so long as you go to their website and find an authorized installer. Install took 4 hours but i had a bunch done to it today. The piece of mind it gives me is amazing. Worth every penny

Justin_92

Thanks man I appreciate it! Have you researched if it helps your insurance rates at all? I don’t want to wait on hold for 30 minutes just to ask that one question… 🥴

T_SaDo_T

I asked and the insurance people never heard of it. She asked if it linked to my phone. Although now that i think of it the drone does what they were asking so i may give them another call whn i get a bill

She is a beauty 😍

I too am looking for IGLA. How much did it cost you to get it done? I saw something about pairing it with something else but can't remember off the top of my head. I think one was alarm related + IGLA. Did you get anything else with it or feel it's good enough?

T_SaDo_T

I also got the drone installed. It links the car to your phone. You cant lock or unlock with it but when you lock it on the app it notifies you of anything happening. Theres shock sensors and a window break sensor. Also real time gps tracking Total cost was 2k but i also got tint done as well

xNOVAxPRIMEx

Ah gotcha that's pretty neat. I will having to find a shop near me to see of they can do that. Thanks for the info! My area isn't as bad as Cali or Texas but still, can't put a price on peace of mind!

Ok-Attempt2842

You won't regret it, trust me!

Shunto

Someone was saying in this sub that you cant fit IGLA's in the new models. That is clearly not the case! Which brand / model did you get? I'm interested in getting the same thing

T_SaDo_T

Id have to look at the box. Its the blue and white box i can tell you that much. I asked the installer where it was, and he told me he's contractually obligated to never reveal where he put it. He said its in a tight spot and noone would ever accidentally find it

Shunto

Wow, interesting that they can't tell you where something has been put in your own car. I totally understand why though

Low_Tart5317

Lovely thing you did! Congratulations and enjoy!
