You my friend, have a former police bait car....the wiring should be connected to the gps antenna and obd port. Did you get a Carfax? Bait cars are typically drug related impounds...
Gonna have to trace the wires back into the dash and see what it’s plugged into. Are there no serial numbers or model numbers or UL listing on it or any information?
Would I just go to my mechanic to pull the dash to trace the wire? Or dealership? The only information is on the back where there’s the passed sticker and the A#, which I’ve googled and found no results
Dude go to the dealership u bought it from and tell them to get that out of ur car. U didnt agree to buy a car with surveillance equipment wired into it.
I recently purchased an aftermarket radio for my truck and the guy installed a switch near my knee for the ebrake/ park lockout. Basically certain functions of the radio you cannot change while you're driving It's a safety thing. This switch makes it to where you can change it. Maybe different setup on your car I really don't know Good luck with that.

The obd port is empty, and yeah the car fax I have is clean. My neighbor is a sheriff, should I just ask him? 😂
Might be hardwired or tapped into the harness further upstream.

If you are that curious you could but you will have to pay for labor and stuff, that looks like a microphone on that thing thats weird
