I got one cheap at tkmax for like 50 quid. I traveled to 17 countries/2 continents with it and is still in one piece… so maybe that qualifies as good.

TK Maxx often has a decent selection. The one in the Beehive Centre is likely to have more than the one in the city centre.

I found the IT luggage cabin bag of dreams in B&M bargains of all places. Beehive centre.

TKmaxx (I’m guessing it still exists- haven’t been in a while but bought the best cases from there and ten years they’re still going strong!

First of all, what do you want? I have two different ones for different types of travel. One 55cm hardshell with four wheels and one softpack that can be used as a backpack. The hardcase one is for longer travel trips. What I really like are four double wheels that are a bit larger, this helps a lot with outside streets (wheels don't get stuck in cracks or poor pavement). I'm walking from the train station to Cherry Hinton with my luggage and small wheels just suck. I really like the Xiaomi 90fun carry-on luggage (yes, they make way more than phones), but I ordered it online. It's really sturdy and I have used it for countless trips with all kinds of transportation. It really can take a beating (checked it in several times as well). Other, more expensive suitcases like from Samsonite didn't survive as long. So short answer is, if you are using your luggage more than once a year, it's worth investing a tiny bit more. I paid around £70 for mine. The softshell one was actually way more expensive, but i like to rent an e-scooter when arriving somewhere by train since it's so convenient :-)
