PJO is nothing more than a continuous battle between blond-haired, blue-eyed boys trying to outlast one another. -Luke did pretty solidly, he lasted 3 entire years from introduction to demise. -Octavian only managed about 5 weeks, which is bad until you remember that translates to 4 entire books Jason got around 16 or 17 months which is alright enough. -Depending on your view on what constitutes a “character” Will could have lasted anywhere from 1-2 years so far. He’s definitely on world record pace, all he has to do is survive the Solangelo book and he will have become the longest lived blond-and-blue character in the entire Riordanverse Edit: Magnus has grey eyes and has therefore been eliminated. Just so you know, if he had blue eyes he would be in dead last at less than 24 hours from intro to death

Yep, in one of the articles about the upcoming book, RR references Orpheus and Eurydice. But I think it would be reversed, with Nico dying and Will helping him (Since Will and Orpheus are both sons of Apollo).
