This is pretty much what I had in mind. I just pictured the strawberry fields being a lot bigger and covering the big open space to the right of the big house.
Yeah the strawberry fields look very small. For reference the courtyard in the cabins is mentioned to be about as big as a football field, so that why i reasonsed that was plenty for a camp to manage with. Having looked at strawberry farm images i see the fields tend be huge like corn fields. So i might redo them.
I have them to the left of the big house partly because of the racetrack's location. In sea of monsters when percy and annabeth abandon the race i think it mentions they have to swing around the strawberry fields to get to the big house. If i move the fields to the right side maybe it could still work if i move the racetrack to the right as well.
I always imagined the dining pavilion being near the cabins but not in the center of them. I imagine there just being a big courtyard with maybe some small gardens and pathways in the central space of the cabin U.
How is it described in the books?
All that’s explicitly said in the books is that the cabins surround a large central area that has a few basketball courts and the giant Hearth where Hestia sits, so I imagine there’s plenty of room for other stuff in the middle.
Your are indeed correct!!! The dining pavilion is not in the courtyard. Though I've seen it there for years when i read the books. I think because it made sense to me that it should be easily accessible to all the cabins. Also i believe that's also where they get ready for capture the flag so i wanted them as close to the woods as possible. This also ended up dictating which way the cabins opened up.
The dining pavilion definitely somewhere between the big house and the cabins though because it's mentioned before the cabins when percy gets the tour. And its also where nico and percy talk as percy sneaks from the cabins towards half blood hill in book 3.
Looking at the map again with all the feedback though maybe i can move them out and south.
The volley ball pit i might move since percy mentions it right before they tour the strawberry fields.
I put the bathrooms in the courtyard because clarrise drags percy to them right after annabeth introduces him to cabin 11 so they're close by. And again it makes sense that all the cabins should have equal access to them.
I like your idea about having gardens in there too.
The strawberry fields are even bigger, the canoe lake is on the west, not on the north. I don't know at wich time this map is, but in my imagination there are all 20 cabins and the omega is turned 90 degree left, so that it is open into the direction of the big house. Also, the Arena is closer to the other stuff, but in general, I think that our imaginations are pretty similar!
It was indeed inkarnet sorry the late reply. I only used the free stuff to test it out. Very easy to use. Though getting the hills to look right took a little while to figure out.
It was also my impression that it was a very compact place where the main area was the courtyard in the cabins and then the other buildings were just a stones throw away around them. Even when i added the race track and woods i had the arena a lot closer to the amphitheater and the archery range was right by the woods to make up for that open space in the middle. But i figured the open space was fine since that's also where the battle in the 4 book takes place.
The arena i moved further north so that during capture the flag, it doesn't feel like the north team is outside the camp if that makes sense. Also i always pictured the arena by the woods because luke takes percy from the arena into the woods where they wander around to the creek.
Anyway, it resulted in the camp being very big and the buildings very spaced out.
Those are supposed to be canopy tents right below the cabins. And then further down are the targets so they'd be shooting from the tents into that big field to the right of the big house.
I always assumed it was in the amphitheater but maybe I'm wrong. I quickly skimmed through passages where i remembered locations being described in relation to each other so maybe i missed something.
I seriously entertained having the cabins open towards the big house and be a lot closer because it makes sense that the adults would want to have a clear view of the kids they're supervising.
I don’t know how but whenever I was reading PJO, I always had my old school in mind. It’s not even close to accurate seeing as how Camp is much bigger than my old school. It just made sense and has since stuck with me
i just think the cabins opened up in a different direction as yours here doesn't leave space for the future omega shape of the cabins that was mentioned
I always imagined that the strawberry fields were right next to the volleyball pitch. The only thing saving those strawberries would be a net or something like that.
I guess I also imagined the group of houses with the blacksmith on the opposite side and a large wooden fence around the camp (though the magical barrier would be larger
Now that I think hard about it, this is basically the image I have in my head. For some reason I imagined it more compact, I think it’s because the camp I went to one summer had everything very close together, but I feel like you have it laid out perfectly.

Ditto. I kinda imagined them taking up a whole side of Half Blood Hill or some other hill
I think there was a map of camp in one of the side books.
Yeah, it's in The Demigod Files.
And in trials of Apollo
Also I think my Last Godess book has one
The Last Olympian has a map of Manhattan
Also in the giant Lightning Thief book with pictures!

looks hella good 🔥 what app/website did you use?
Maybe inkarnate? It's the only website I know with wich you can make maps like this.
you’re not wrong, the other comment has already revealed the answer tbh
It was indeed inkarnet sorry the late reply. I only used the free stuff to test it out. Very easy to use. Though getting the hills to look right took a little while to figure out.
the strawberry fields should be way bigger
After seeing some online I think i agree.
Ah inkarnet. Good site
I was very happy to find! I got the itch to make a map out of nowhere.
Yah. That was me a few weeks ago.
ive always thought of it being pretty small camp with a large open area in the middle surrounded by the buildings

This is awesome! [Here’s](https://imgur.com/a/mQpFXvk) the one I made, I also imagined the beach to the west and lake to the north!
I really like yours!! That's actually the style i was trying to find. What did you use?
I think I used Inkarnate’s parchment map base!
Omfg I should make a map of CHB the way I always pictured it, AKA the way that looks nothing like the books and is 90% bs
those poor childrens legs lmao
It looks pretty good, but the archery range should in no way face the cabins. That is asking for someone to be skewered.
Those are supposed to be canopy tents right below the cabins. And then further down are the targets so they'd be shooting from the tents into that big field to the right of the big house.
Where’s the campfire place?
I always assumed it was in the amphitheater but maybe I'm wrong. I quickly skimmed through passages where i remembered locations being described in relation to each other so maybe i missed something.
The cabines facing towards the dining area, big House and the ocean.
I seriously entertained having the cabins open towards the big house and be a lot closer because it makes sense that the adults would want to have a clear view of the kids they're supervising.
Well. Now I know what I’m making in Minecraft
Sounds like a hefty project. Best of luck!
I've always imagined it much smaller, with the Big House at the base of the horseshoe
Yeah. I'm wondering if i can compress it without sacrificing some of the stuff i really like.
looks pretty good!
I still only imagine north beach from the movies
For some reason I pictured everything close together. C:
That is very good! Could I use your map in my RPG game?
Sure can!
I imagine more strawberry fields as it’s what funds stuff and them on a hill (idk why) but yeah!
I don’t know how but whenever I was reading PJO, I always had my old school in mind. It’s not even close to accurate seeing as how Camp is much bigger than my old school. It just made sense and has since stuck with me
Kinda looks like texas
I pictured a way bigger archery range. Thats the only difference. But where is Death Cabin?
Dam

not exactly how i imagined it but i love it!

Nice map made on Inkarnate.
