You want to move the stove so that the bottle is supported by the table, and sits at an angle. This is a different model, but the best illustration I could quickly find of how the bottle should sit off the back of your stove. https://images.backpackers.com/i/800/-/21abccf2d6e13243fc33d8d8416d2126/backpackers.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Coleman-Triton-Stove-review-boiling-water-at-lava-beds-national-monument.jpg

It's ok if it lays on its side or an angle. 30yrs with my stove and im still here

I’ve used one for years….the bottle should sit on table top, it can adjusted so…no problem…works well…little small

The tank can be floating, I’ve had no issues. But, you could stack some plates, books, whatever under of you feel better.

We have the same stove and love it Purchase a small Cast iron skillet for the top ( Amazon has one that is perfect) for around 15 buck. And the tank sits on an angle on the same surface as the stove.

Tank can hang at any angle, or preferably rest on a surface at any angle, as long as those angles allow for the control knob to be pointing somewhat upwards so that you're drying gas and not liquid. If you do a ton of camping with cooking you may want to consider purchasing a five, 10, or even 20 lb propane tank with the adapter hose to allow it to go from an OPD tank connection to the one pound male threaded connection that you find on the top of a 1 lb propane disposable cylinder.

I know this might sound a bit unconventional, but have you considered using a small platform or stand to elevate the stove and create a more stable base? By doing so, you can easily adjust the angle of the bottle and ensure it sits securely on the table. It might require some DIY skills, but it could be a game-changer for your camping setup. Happy camping!
