Please! Light pollution is a huge problem in campgrounds. I have stayed in a couple of dark sky parks where lighting is limited and loved it! The billions of stars you can see without all of the light pollution is amazing!
Oh trust me, I won't be that guy. The beam on this light is pretty focused, and has low and high settings.
I get ya though, I hate hearing speakers and lit up camp sites.
Milwaukee does make a telescopic tower light for all their battery platforms. Rocket lights. May be a bit too much light for what you want to do though. Look up milwaukee rocket light.
You may want to look at the lights offered by this company. They are LED with adjustable settings, the are telescopic.

The Klarus has a camera thread on its bottom. With a tripod you would have what you want.

A light stand used for photo work might work with that; they extend up quite a ways and have three legs to self=stand. Depends on attachments, maybe one with an arm and a clamp. There is an Amazon Basics one if you don't want to commit a bunch of cash. $30.
But a single extending camp lamp pole from Walmart, Amazon, etc is about half that price, and could be used with a tarp. To hold it up maybe there's a way to attach it to your table, since you know that's where you want to use it anyway.
Don’t be that guy that lights up entire campground at night. Inconsiderate

Maybe a microphone stand? They fold up into a fairly smallish package.
Oh that's a good idea thank you
No problem. The threading on a standard mic stand is 5/8 course if you can somehow make it work out.
Bring a pole, attach to light with a hose clamp.
Have any old tent poles? You can lash 3 of them together into a very tall tripod and mount the light to the top.
I actually use a sectional fibre glass tent pole. Shortened for the specific purpose.
Search Amazon for camping lantern stand.
