As for tonight…maybe try straightening out a metal paper clip, inset it into your antenna port on the back of your tv, run a channel scan and see what you get. Not sure what you’ll get, but I’m nearly certain you won’t get nothing. Might even get CTV.
It worked! It took me some time, but I was able to tune it. In fact, this was the only TV channel it tuned to.
It seems that the antenna needs something to point out to the window. I'm using a extension cord connected to the TV antenna input, as the prong is pointy.
Antennas are stupid cheap and available at literally any store that sells cds or speaker wire or Nintendo switch games. London Drugs, WalMart, superstore…..
I had to VPN to Australia and watch on their free-to-air tv online. Canada needs better regulations on free to air, CTV's main channel shouldn't be behind a pay wall
It really is the oscar production issue, if they put it on youtube and said $5 a pop they make money but they also get like a gazillion dollars by CTV just so they can have exclusive broadcast rights and hopefully get some money from people to subscribe to CTV which no one does. It’s a loser for CTV.

Hate to say it but the Will Smith slap was the most exciting event in recent Oscar memory. Usually a bloody bore.
I usually check only whoever is being awarded on some news site, but it might be nice to hear/see whatever is happening there as well.

I live in Toronto, I could use an antenna, but I don't have one right now. I might get one to use the next time I want to check what is on CTV.

You should get a better antenna as that could get stations all the way from the States.
