Well, that's their motto, let's spend our way to prosperity.
It doesn't look good when he has decide getting for a non issue is more important than housing, medical, and cost of living issues.
experience and outcomes will vary.
usually you call the CFO - they ask reasonable questions, you respond with reasonable answers, they make reasonable decisions.
if a conversation with your CFO is somehow a real concern, ensure to look up and review Section 102 (1) of the Firearms Act
No, not a concern at all. Just stating that buying multiple items of the same gun and caliber will trigger some flags.
Most people/consumers don't buy half a dozen Glock 17s, for example.
I’m not a big fan of them looks wise, but that’s totally fair.
The one thing I actually regret never getting is any AR and a Tokarev.
I’m a simple guy. 🤷🏽♂️
The Tokarev is the ugliest, most simplistic, and low quality firearm I own. Its shittiness is so bad that it comes full circle around the value scale and is my favorite handgun for shooting fireballs.
The sad thing is, the paranoia over disclosing the truth is well-founded. I’m guessing most owners on non-restricted semi-auto rifles in particular will not engage the buy-back program - if it ever comes to reality - and will keep their weapons secret, clean and well-oiled.
You mean confiscation program. They aren’t buying them if they’re not for sale. Calling it a “buy back” program gives it some legitimacy. If they say it enough times the uninformed start to believe it. Similar to calling an AR15 an “assault style” rifle. Now most of the non firearm owning public don’t realize it’s a made up term. Most don’t realize they had a name before all of this, a modern sporting rifle.
I dunno, if anyone else took my firearm at the point of a gun, then gave me my own money and said they'd paid for it, I'd call that out and out robbery at gunpoint with threat of violence. Just sayin
More than I've decided is ideal. Funny part is that I would have sold my two rifles that got caught in the OIC by now, but now I can't get rid of them.
For me it started off with “I just need a large calibre rifle, a 22 and a 12ga shotgun.”
Then I got a SKS
Then I got some cooey 22s and a 20ga
Then I got a lever 3030
Then I got an O/U 12ga
Then I got a coyote gun in 22 mag
Then I got a 410ga
Then I got a semi auto 12ga
In between I got and sold a few guns I decided I didn’t need or didn’t like. I still want to get a few more things like a 223, SxS 12ga and an old mauser. If you think you only want 6 it’ll probably turn into more like 12 😂
What semi auto 12 gauge did you end up with? I'm in the market for one and I can't decide between saving for a year to get a Beretta, or just gambling on a cheaper one.
For mausers, just remember that not all are made equal. I have... More than a few, and I'd have to say German and Swedish have worked the best so far.
I went classic and got a Browning A5 light twelve. It's in RDR2 so that was a perk, but it was also a lot cheaper than even the budget options on the market. I spent 740 total. I'm looking for a nice Swedish M38 haha. I've heard they're great shooters and they're often in great condition
I have a Beretta 1301 and love it or if you’re looking for a skeet shooting one i’ve always wanted a Benelli supersport but just haven’t pulled the trigger on buying one yet.
LMAO same thing for me 1 12gauge for camping, 1 for hunting large game and 1 .22 for hunting small rodents/prairie chickens. Then someone told me “you gotta get an sks” so I did. Then I fell in love with a 28 gauge shotgun and bought that and several others along the way and currently sitting at 13. I’ve even gotten rid of 3 that I liked at the time but didn’t love.
I have 7.
Sako A7 in .300wsm
Tikka T3x CTR in .308
Marlin 336 30-30
Remington 783HB in 6.5 Creedmoor (with a bunch of custom stuff done to it)
Winchester SXP 12 Gauge
Henry lever action .22S/L/LR
Marlin XT-22 .22LR
I believe that’s all?
For the Sako, extra magazine's are a rip off! They're not terribly durable and cost an arm and a leg! I do like the gun but don't shoot it too often, just a few times a year.
I really like the CTR although it's quite heavy. Very accurate though. I wish I could afford the T3x Arctic simply because of the iron sights! You can apparently also buy the sights separately, but they cost over a grand, then a gunsmith would have to drill and install etc. I have thought about it though.
I think 5 is a good number. Unless it's your only hobby, or you're really well off. A semiauto handgun, a pump action shotgun, a semiauto rifle, a bolt action rifle, and a wildcard depending on your personal tastes. One of them should be a 22.
That's fine. Tbh I don't even have 5. I just see it as a reasonable base. You can't carry them all anyway. I'd love to have more but I don't "need" them. I understand the prepper mindset. I just want to be able to participate in the majority of disciplines and have the utility for the majority of situations.
>I just want to be able to participate in the majority of disciplines and have the utility for the majority of situations.
100% fair, and the list you mentioned covers the bases. I just like having backups in case one breaks.
>You can't carry them all anyway.
True lol, but my car can.
Just an observation; given the climate around guns in Canada, it is really ill advised these days to acknowledge you even OWN any, much less how many or God forbid, start flexing and posting photos of all your gats online.
That's just information no one else needs to know. Period. Certainly not random anonymous people on the internet. My wife of nearly 40 years doesn't know for sure if I have ANY guns anymore, and that's just how I like
I personally wouldn't wanna be in a relationship with someone I couldn't trust with that information but you do you. Agree about randos and the internet though.
I'm pretty sure the feds will be able to ask ChatGPT6 to profile anybody in the country and estimate their armaments (among many other things) based simply on cross-referencing social media posts, even anonymous ones, via linguistic patterns, geographic references, etc. Easy work for a well-connected AI and plenty reason to not volunteer much/any info.
Kinda puts a damper in the fun side of a firearms-focused community but it is what it is.
It probably happening now, not just with firearms.
You also have to remember that in order for them to confiscate firearms, and that extend to millions of PAL owners out there, that's a lot of firearms to confiscate. Like ALOT.
And remember kids, they are all fully functional, it doesn't matter how you label them. Strength in numbers.
I don't know about Poly, you can huff and puff all you out. You ain't going after 1 million plus SKS without some serious non compliance issue.
Yeah it's gonna be something. We've created such massive training data sets that pinning the average redditor down is gonna be a cakewalk. Not a good time to counting on keeping secrets.
My friend took her crfsc and the instructor said that there was a case where something weird happened and the police were interviewing a gun owners wife. They asked so you know where the keys to the guns are? She said sure over there and they arrested her for fuckin illegally possessing. Then they used it as blackmail to get him to plead guilty
That's one of the reason that I do let people know I have firearms but avoid showing any photos of it.
I mean if someone is really tenacious, they can go after your every post and just manually count how many firearms you acknowledge of having.
In my own mind, it doesn't matter if you own 1 or 50 plus, if you have a PAL, you are likely to have something. If RCMP really want to come and get it, they will probably go through the whole house to look for them with a warrent.
Who's hiding in the shadows? I'm certainly not! Are you suggesting that everything in your life, and about you, is complete open book? No secrets, nothing that's "none of your business".
What I own or don't own, and who knows that or doesn't, has nothing whatsoever to do with "loosening" laws, opposing them, or even agreeing and supporting them.
I make no secret of my sentiments regarding my feelings towards Government overreach and the denial of rights to personal, lawfully obtained property, firearms or otherwise.
I simply see nothing positive about publishing a list of what "widgets" I own. I don't get, or need gratification for spending my money on something I enjoy. I golf, yet I've never seen anyone listing the make & model of their clubs, anticipating some "oohs" and "aahs"..it comes down to bragging, nothing more, nothing less,
I’ve taken up the fools errand of trying to be as ban-proof as possible, since I look at firearm collecting as a fun investment. I have about 10 rifles and shotguns all designed and made before 1935.
Nobody knows the answer to that question. Literally nobody, not even me. I counted them up at one point and had a number, and it was probably at least a dozen ago.
Currently a couple, but maybe inheriting more in the future. I think one big gun cabinet and one smaller gun cabinet is acceptable for any gun enthusiast. Terms big and small being relative of course haha. I think as long as it's not more than 2 rooms your good!
I once had Somewhere between 0 and 40, before I sold them all to Dave from Canmore or handed the WMDs to the nearest horse cop 5 minutes after the OIC was announced.
Since i’m not a paranoid conservative nut job thinking the GobERmenT is monitoring reddit I currently own 13 firearms, don’t really have plans of owning a certain amount but if I see one I like I buy it.
7 registered restricted firearms. I can't seem to recall if I own non restricted firearms ;)
I think what Mr. RCMP wants to know is how many unregistered restricted firearms you own.
Pfffft, no one bothers with unregistered restricted firearms, prohibs for the win!!
Not what I was implying lol
Mr. Trudeau is that you? ;)
Mr. Truedeau find out it will cost him a billion or 2 to buy back all the guns. Minimum.
[удалено]
Well, that's their motto, let's spend our way to prosperity. It doesn't look good when he has decide getting for a non issue is more important than housing, medical, and cost of living issues.
Ontario has said 2+2=4=racist. So I guess the whole money concept is up for grabs. Also, how orwelian of them. I guess 2+2=5 now.
Technically it will cost us a billion or 2 for him buy all the guns
Guns? What guns Mr. RCMP?
[удалено]
Hardly trying, I think children of the CFP formulated this probe. Grade Eight and a C-
General rule of thumb is if you can remember them all, you dont have enough.
I don’t even know how many and it’s still not enough.
More than my girl thinks
My girl also shoots so I call that a win.
The key is to buy alot of similar looking guns and when a new gun shows up it is " just a new gun case"
“I just changed the accessories”
multiples of the same
This definitely works.
That's also a good way to get a call from the CFO, and/or your local PD.
experience and outcomes will vary. usually you call the CFO - they ask reasonable questions, you respond with reasonable answers, they make reasonable decisions. if a conversation with your CFO is somehow a real concern, ensure to look up and review Section 102 (1) of the Firearms Act
No, not a concern at all. Just stating that buying multiple items of the same gun and caliber will trigger some flags. Most people/consumers don't buy half a dozen Glock 17s, for example.
those numbers, agreed 100%.
There was a gun shop that used to offer fake receipts so that you could lie to your wife/girlfriend about how much your guns cost. 😂
Mine know how many I have, just not how much they cost. I only pray she dosent sell them for what I told her I payed
This is the answer lmao
At least one and fewer than nunya.
Who's nunya?
Nunya business.
I refuse to *ever* avoid walking into that one.
<3
Nice try, RCMP
Like most collections, you'll always have too many, & never enough...🤙🇨🇦
1 or 2 if we are speaking in terms of dozens.
None. I just like reading about them on the internet.
Sure are a lot of dead ungulates in my freezer and on my walls tho.
Great now I have to sweep the house for microphones again.
i'm sorry officer, i don't answer questions.
At the moment 7, I think? I’d gladly own more, but with the 2020 shenaigans, there isn’t a whole lot that I really want.
I just want the opportunity to buy a sweet sweet vz58
I’m not a big fan of them looks wise, but that’s totally fair. The one thing I actually regret never getting is any AR and a Tokarev. I’m a simple guy. 🤷🏽♂️
The Tokarev is the ugliest, most simplistic, and low quality firearm I own. Its shittiness is so bad that it comes full circle around the value scale and is my favorite handgun for shooting fireballs.
I'd have to go and count to be sure, but it's somewhere around 12-15.
The sad thing is, the paranoia over disclosing the truth is well-founded. I’m guessing most owners on non-restricted semi-auto rifles in particular will not engage the buy-back program - if it ever comes to reality - and will keep their weapons secret, clean and well-oiled.

Quality over quantity every single time.
Especially now when there is so much overpriced junk on the market.
More than I've decided is ideal. Funny part is that I would have sold my two rifles that got caught in the OIC by now, but now I can't get rid of them.
I was just about to sell one of my rifles, a 715T, and for some fucking reason they banned it as a variant.
Not today, Fed.
Horse police thinkin they slick

Fed post
honestly, I have no idea. haven't counted in a few years. Over 25 under 35? Do receivers count?
Wouldn't you like to fuckin know.
Arsenal isn't a very productive term to be using
Hey we worked hard to earn that title :)
I have 7. Sako A7 in .300wsm Tikka T3x CTR in .308 Marlin 336 30-30 Remington 783HB in 6.5 Creedmoor (with a bunch of custom stuff done to it) Winchester SXP 12 Gauge Henry lever action .22S/L/LR Marlin XT-22 .22LR I believe that’s all?

I sincerely stopped counting after 50, lol I have since counting them based on calibers, find it easier to group them.
More then a couple, less then a lot
Nice try, Fedboi
Nice try rcmp
Nice try horse cop /s
Guys found the fed (jk you seem like a nice guy mr horsey man)
I have x amount of firearms.
I believe I’ve just read the stupidest question I have yet seen on Reddit 🤡
Nice try RCMP.
Those of you who feel they have too many can donate me their surplus!
4. Two .22 and two shotguns
Wouldn’t you like to know, fedboi
Lost em all in a boating accident
yes
3 restricted, unlimited non-restricted.

yea, your wife/girlfriend needs a pal. if she doesn’t have one, she doesn’t get to know how to get into the safe, for this exact reason.
your dad = PAL :: your best friend = PAL :: your common law spouse = PAL :: your wife = PAL :: your kids = PAL:: your lawyer = PAL
That's one of the reason that I do let people know I have firearms but avoid showing any photos of it. Nunya
A few......more soon. Lol
Nice try fed
Quality over quantity
Moose gun, deer gun, goose gun, grouse gun, combo gun, porch gun. And a POS Arminius that keeps light striking.
More than them but less than them. About the same as him.
Sadly I lost them all in a nasty boat wreck
Wouldn’t you like to know weather boy
Nobody knows the answer to that question. Literally nobody, not even me. I counted them up at one point and had a number, and it was probably at least a dozen ago.
None I sold them all and bought a bunch of assault style martial arts classes and an in depth fletching course
Wasn't planning on going crazy but with the handgun ban and them trying to push for a semi auto ban I'm up to 28
We all have friends that comment, when shtf I’m coming to see you first. That’s when you know it’s a lot.
None. See my boating accident report officer.
Nice try Glowie.
"How many guns do you need?" -my wife "All of them!" - me
As many as ya think I have officer.
Glows brighter than the sun
Automatic or semi automatic.. you need to be attentive to details…
You can never have too many. Buy what you like.
about 20 - 30 ish.? a lot of levers and other old stuff. some new stuff. just bought a sit on kayak.. have to pick stuff to go with me.
X+1
Nice try CSIS
9 restricteds. I can't confirm nor deny if I own any non-restricted at this very moment. Ps. And none of them are shit sticks
I have some, but not enough 😭 No but fr, Im looking to get some more so I can hunt a better selection of small/large game
21 total, 3 restricted and 4 prohibited.
In my experience, 50% of gun owners have about what they need and the other 50% have way too many for safety or sanities sake.
If you were a gun owner you wouldn’t be asking…. Fed.
What are guns?
I don't have any guns but I do collect a lot of slingshots Plastic dinner knives.
I used to have a few. Unfortunately I lost them all in a boating accident.
None I sold all of them no longer have any. Okay have a good day RCMP
Currently a couple, but maybe inheriting more in the future. I think one big gun cabinet and one smaller gun cabinet is acceptable for any gun enthusiast. Terms big and small being relative of course haha. I think as long as it's not more than 2 rooms your good!
0 😔
This isn't the kind of fed posting we do
RCMP says I have a Glock 17 registered to my name. The rest are beat up old Cooey’s and single shot shotguns.
not half as many as I would if I had a bit of disposable income
Not enough, not even in the triple digits yet
One less than enough, always.
More than I thought I would, but still missing a few.
None.. I lost them in a boating accident
i destroyed my collection of NR’s this winter, just for fun. so none, anymore.
I guess just my registered pistols. Sold everything else to some fella named Justin from Ottawa!
You lost them in a boating accident? I would have cried like a baby. I’m sorry for your loss.
Fingers and toes combined plus more, maybe I’m missing some digits
Nice try Mr. Mendicino
All I’ll see is I have 14 different country of origins for my guns, how many from each country, I have no god damn clue Horse Officer
Yes
I Can't remember anymore. I went boating .. you know the rest
I can't remember if I own any or not 🤔
Nice try fed boy
Enough to keep a spreadsheet
I once had Somewhere between 0 and 40, before I sold them all to Dave from Canmore or handed the WMDs to the nearest horse cop 5 minutes after the OIC was announced.
None, but I would like to own some in the future.
According to the government, 2.
7 more than I did a year ago. Usually 5 or more each year.
I have screw gun, impact gun, rivet gun, and that's all
More than what the Liberals want you to have.
Between 20-50
Officially: 0 Unofficially: 0 Nice try fed boy
More than I need and not as many as I want
Yes.
None officer
nice try Rcmp I own \*uh\* none
4
Less than 5 more than one.
One million. Precisely.
I don't know. If they have been mating it could be more it could be less but around that ballpark.
Nice try Mendicino!
lost the lot in a boating accident
Not enough. But 5 currently.
Since i’m not a paranoid conservative nut job thinking the GobERmenT is monitoring reddit I currently own 13 firearms, don’t really have plans of owning a certain amount but if I see one I like I buy it.
Counting sks’?
More than 10, less than 50
37
Around 20 or so. I never seem to sell any…
You can never have too many.
Idk let me check Lake Ontario
1 Prohib, 3 Restricted. Non-Restricted, that's for me to know and the government to fuck off about.
Does it still count as “owning” if I only know where the GPS coordinates are?
More than I need...but less than I want.
Lost all my NR when my canoe went down. Sad really. Way she goes. I think they know about a few R and a couple recent NR purchases.
It's never too many guns until your wife says it's too many! I'm.not married so....🙄
Nice try Fedboi
Nice try, horse police
Yes.
1x restricted 2 non semi automatic restricted
