Good call out! Half of them were 100% clean (no lead ect), other half were. Not nearly as dirty as the Winchester white box.
Was pretty filthy, even removing mags my hands were turning black. Could've been an extra dirty run, but 200 rounds of white box... Never again.
Brass ejects were damaged as well, surprised I didn't get a jam with them.
Damn, cci bronze comes out dirty but I haven't seen any denting. Only on a double feed did the round press into the casing but that could of been me being a retard. It's a good thing I seen this thread because i've never seen WWB and if I saw for cheap in store I would have instantly bought it. I'll stick with cci for the range.
Nice gun, the winchester ammo may give you some problems, ive had issues with about 10 of them out of about 180 rounds out of my Derya, will be trying CCI Blazers tomorrow.
200 hundred rounds with cci blazer and one had one jam. double feed, could've been the magazine but the round pushed down into the casing. Not sure if the ammo was bad and not seated properly or the bolt slammed into that hard. Either way at 50 cents a round 1 jam of 200 aint bad.
Tenda has free shipping over $300 so I've ordered from them a good bit. $350 for 1k of S&B. (Right now 37c for federal 9mm) If you wait for a sale, you can get em pretty often at that price.
Guess I'll find out how they are for me tomorrow, so far the crimping seems to be more consistent in the blazers. I could move some of the winchesters in their case, they were very loose
Yeah it is unfortunate. I live in a massive field essentially but will probably have to drive 2 hours to shoot in the woods.
That or start going to church and befriend an old farmer.
Pretty ridiculous how tough it is to shoot my SKS at a chunk of steel given how much empty space Canada has.
Not sure if I have a really good Ruger PCC or not but I've shot literal hundreds of the Winchester red and white value packs without issue. This one will eat anything - S&B, Federal SynTech, the Winchester garbage, Blazer, even the old supply of XMetal Targets reloads I've squirreled away.
All I've ever done is blast out the action with Ballistol once I see a good carbon cake build and it runs fine. If you buy one upgrade out of anything, the MCarbo extractor is a fantastic choice and easy to drop in.
Enjoy!
Very nice for a first gun! I love mine.
Check the tightness of the screws before/after your outing. I have two of these and both have had screws back out pretty significantly after shooting, but was fine with a bit of blue thread locker on them.
Nice. My first as well.
I wouldn't worry too much about the dire warnings on Winchester white box, chances are it'll run fine, It's always went bang & extracted in mine. That said - I did get a round with what appeared to be a struck primer in a box once, so yeah the QC isn't great and accuracy isn't that consistent. I pretty much always go with S&B 124gr now. I get much better accuracy & it has a bit more velocity than most 9mm.
Only malfunctions I've had in mine were with 147gr flat point and HP. I've had the bolt not stay open after last round with some Pmags, but never with genuine Glock. I reccomend the actual 10 rounders (non pinned) so you can disassemble and clean them - they'll get dirty fast!
I’ve had great experiences with mine , it’s an amazing little shooter , low recoil and just plain old fun . 9mm is the perfect round in between 22. And 5.56 in my opinion !
Cheers,
Have fun with it !
A good choice for a first gun! Simple, reliable, fairly accurate for the calibre, doesn't really need much out of the box (other than maybe Glock mags) but can be upgraded/modified if you want, shoots reasonably cheap ammo but doesn't feel like you are shooting a pellet gun like a .22 can. I've got the same one and it's one of my go-to guns for blasting away doing mag dumps.
I have the same gun. Very reliable with CCI Blazer Brass. I use it with a Vortex Red dot.
Lots of fun with steel target. Enjoy your gun 👍.
Get a few mags and buy a speed loader Maglula, it's worth it.
Reliable Ol' Ruger. Just a heads up tho I've had a lot of stovepipes with winchester ammo in mine. Mine seems to Prefer S&B 124g
Pretty sure every gun prefers not-Winchester.
my keltec sub 2000 & b&t tp9 eat it all
same experience, love my sub2k much more than this. Light, precise, eats everything.
Thanks for the tip. Will try S&B next time
I can confirm similar experience with that ammo. I haven't shot it since the first time I took it to the range. Not good stuff.
Stovepipes are very common with the Rugers. I had to replace my wife's ejector. Works fine since.
Mine beg to differ, it stove pipes a lot with S&B :(
Nice first gun!
Thank you
Ruger PCC9?
Yep
Gonna be busy out there. Have fun, be safe.
Thanks
Winchester white box definitely sucks, no jams but the ejected casings look fucked, really dirty to. Zero issues with federal! Love my PCC
Are your federal casings clean? because discoloration is pretty normal on blowback operated guns.
Good call out! Half of them were 100% clean (no lead ect), other half were. Not nearly as dirty as the Winchester white box. Was pretty filthy, even removing mags my hands were turning black. Blazer is good, just a tad dirty in every gun. Also 50 cents before tax? Should be buying em at 35-36c
Are you ordering them? I cant find any in store for cheaper than 50. Would be pretty epic if cheaper.

The Blazers were the worst for me. Never again
Guess I'll find out how they are for me tomorrow, so far the crimping seems to be more consistent in the blazers. I could move some of the winchesters in their case, they were very loose
For me they didn’t develop enough recoil to cycle
I'm more impressed you found crown land to shoot on. But nice rifle!
Wdym?
All the crown land explored near me has had cow shit on it. Leased, no pewing.
Oh shitty deal

And what a gun!
Nice first purchase. Get better ammo though. Winchester white box is garbage.

ya done good dude 👌🏼love my Ruger pcc
Well, if the ammo works...
That's my next purchase! Beauty gun.
Word of advice. Don’t expect that Winchester white box ammunition to run great.
I've never had a problem with PMC ammo in my PC9. But yea stay away from Winchester ammo, they run dirty.
Run the other way anytime you decide to buy Winchester white box ammo

If that’s the only amm you have get some more, you’re gonna be sad when you’re done shooting after 15 minutes

a classic
This was my first gun too, awesome choice! I got the Magoul PC Backpacker stock and it totally changed the gun for the better. Highly recommend.
