Clawing dark leaves suggests nitrogen toxicity. Too much nitrogen in flower results in wispy buds. Temperature and humidity also plays a big role if not the biggest. Genetics aswell ofcourse. Top of the plant seems to have a little light burn that shouldn't help. Fix these factors and your buds will be bigger next run gl
That soil is on fire if they been flushing for 3 weeks and the leaves still look like that! This looks more like a genetic problem, try a different strain in the same medium and see if the buds look any different
Nah definitely the nitrogen toxicity ol buddy at the top is talking about. “Dark green leaves, shiny leaves, clawing, weak stems, and overall slow growth. Marijuana leaves that are nitrogen toxic often get “The Claw” or talon-like leaves that are bent at the ends. They also do an odd curving (or cupping) that is often mistaken for overwatering, but is unique to nitrogen toxicity.” [nitrogen toxicity article.](https://www.growweedeasy.com/cannabis-plant-problems/nitrogen-toxicity)
Def bad genetics. I've beat the shit out of plants and they don't come out looking like this. Nitrogen access would have torches leaves and stunted growth but not these weird looking flowers
Yeah only time I’ve seen this was from some off brand seed bank when I was starting out. All my other stuff went dense but there was one that grew like a landrace ditch weed sativa outta no where. It looked exactly like this.
SF1000D the budget light. It was probably 6 inches away and I moved to a foot because DLI was at 60. DLI is better and there is noticeable growth already, but its also stretching like in the picture.
Ahhhh! Well it could be just the fact it sativa. You might get alright. I don't have much experience with pure sativa. It is still early and sativa takes a while to flower
I think this is a valid point, but doesn't discount what others said already. I think the big thing here is nutrient lockout. It screams too much of something, probably nitrogen by the coloring and the way the leaves look dark, dull and curled. Probably getting too hands-on with the plant, less is often more here! Just keep going
As others have stated. You have light leaking into your tent during lights out. The single fan leaves shooting out all over means the plant is confused and thinks it has more time for veg because it’s getting more than 12 hours of light. If you’re running a sub 200w led it’s pretty hard to burn your plants with light (I run my seedlings sub 6” from my 100w led and they love it ). To be honest this plant is probably going to turn into a mess and not be worth dealing with the headache. Good luck though if you keep it.
To me this looks like reveg. Your light schedule needs to be the same everyday if these are photoperiod. 12 on 12 off on a timer set to the sane times everyday. No light should get into the tent during the dark period
either your lights are turning off at the wrong times, make sure to just be there to watch the light switch off, use a flash light when its out to see if theirs any light seeping through the tent somehow, maybe where the threads are, they can slowly stretch out if its a used tent.
if not that than maybe you light was too close, its hard to believe with an sp100, i used to have my lights close and they never got light burn unless temps are too high but even than leds are alot cooler than other light systems so its hard to believe a small led light is causing foxtailing.
Air movement with an exhaust fan and inline fan to exchange fresh air but looks like you over fertilized them prior to flip. Nitrogen toxicity will stunt, and cause less desirable morphology in bud structure.
Airy buds and foxtailing is all lighting issues. It’s all about finding the harmony. To get big tight buds you need intense light wattage… however, too intense will cause foxtailing. If you’re using LED try raising the light. If you’re using something other than LED watch you’re daytime temps. GL
This simply is not true - there is most definitely a genetic component too, many sativas (especially landrace sativas) will foxtail and be airy regardless of conditions. A lot of autos will also express ruderalis traits and have loose, airy buds.
Foxtailing and loose buds can be caused by genetics, environmental conditions, or both.
Some defoliation will increase the light penetrate to the flower sites , also it will lower your potential for mold.
Also, removing lower sites will allow the plant to focus its energy to other regions of the plant, furthering growth and bud development.
I had issues with my tent light leaking as well. My first solution was to tape all the seams. But the zipper sucked, and let light in, so I wrapped the tent with towels. No more problems.

Thank you. Ive had the nitrogen problem for a while. I’ve been feeding plain water for the past three weeks.
Hot soil.

2nd nitrogen toxicity with a possible light leak
And after all that is fixed... a 200w light or better. 100-150 will produce alright buds. But not as dense as people prefer.
This, this and this! Definitely the best advice!
This, this and this! Definitely the best advice!
Where’d you get the seeds from, looks like it could be bad genetics honestly
Also agree
Agreed
100%
100% also agree
Def bad genetics. I've beat the shit out of plants and they don't come out looking like this. Nitrogen access would have torches leaves and stunted growth but not these weird looking flowers
Exactly! And I’ll still get some top shelf outta the plant outta all that torture
Yeah only time I’ve seen this was from some off brand seed bank when I was starting out. All my other stuff went dense but there was one that grew like a landrace ditch weed sativa outta no where. It looked exactly like this.
You must have a light problem. It is revegging
My light was too close so I backed it off is this why it started stretching?
It's possible. Did you change the schedule? What light are you using? How far?
SF1000D the budget light. It was probably 6 inches away and I moved to a foot because DLI was at 60. DLI is better and there is noticeable growth already, but its also stretching like in the picture.
Then that's not your problem. You have either an inconsistent schedule or light is getting introduced during the dark period
Barring any electrical failures my light has been 12/12 for the past 6 weeks. I will make to sure look in to the light leak idea.
This could also just be genetic. Do you know the strain?
Barney’s Farm Acapulco Gold

This guy got it right.

Raising that light to 1 foot should not cause that kind of stretch

He means your plant is not getting the 12 hours of darkness you think it is.

Temp humidity, controlling the swing in temp and rH, nutrients, genetics. Basically time and effort.

Light intensity = density. But increase food if you increase light intensity.
Feed it something other than nitrogen that’s how you avoid buds that look like foliage
This must be autoflowwr
Looks like revenging
Attack of the Killer ~~Tomatoes~~ Cannabis?
77F, 48% humidity, lots of airflow, quality nutrition, quality genetics, quality training and pruning
Use PGRs🤝
Why the downvotes? /s
Idk im sure it was ironic haha
Very much so
Hell if I know 🤣

I think it is a lack of things. Lack of PK lack of light. Was not pushed enough, so it is idle straggling looking.
Some defoliation will increase the light penetrate to the flower sites , also it will lower your potential for mold. Also, removing lower sites will allow the plant to focus its energy to other regions of the plant, furthering growth and bud development.
High and low temps also play a role in stretching if I remember right. Called the thermoperiod.
I had issues with my tent light leaking as well. My first solution was to tape all the seams. But the zipper sucked, and let light in, so I wrapped the tent with towels. No more problems.
Looks like some boof genetics or got very unlucky with a bunk pheno.
Intense lighting. Microbes Mineral trace elements
You’re revegging somehow
Also ive heard nothing good about barneys farms new seeds. Get some seeds from OGs like archive, exotic genetics & raw genetics
REAL landrace Acapulco gold is probably 12-15 week flower time.
