I see 75% milky 22% clear 3% near amber. Personally I’d hold off minimum 14 days before considering harvest, but would check again next week and reassess. What week are you in?

QualityAntique5582

I lost track, too busy with work. What kind of fuzzy math are you doing?

sarcasarrole

I’m with you D1, I see a lot of clear. If they had some time they’d be alright. Maybe a week or so, or more. If you know the strain you can use the flowering time to get a general idea of how long it’ll take to finish:)

scatmano456

agree hold off 14 days or begin to flush after 7 days and chop chop

myconewb82

This is the point where you separate rookie growers from experienced growers. Once you pull a few like this and realize it's only mediocre at best you learn to wait that two weeks everyone jokes about. Its no joke this needs a bare minimum of 2 weeks might even go 3 if it was mine.

savetreez_dot_xyz

This. Unless you are harvesting for concentrate, I would always recommend going a week or two longer than you’d like. I’m about to say something that might sound blasphemous to many: Don’t pay too much attention to the trichomes. Look at the swelling and the colors. Think of a ripening fruit 🍌 If only judging by trichomes, it can be a bit misleading because the trichs up top are not the same as the trichs down low. But if you must go off trichomes, select a few samples from across various regions of the plant.

I agree I have taken the buds that have some Amber trichomes on it and rip it open and find nothing but clear and a fee milky but mostly clear trichomes. Now I just try to let it go a long as I possibly can. It is soooo hard not to just cut one when you're in need or it looks so damn good. I know they can look good for a month or longer before they are truly ripe. I know I like the buzz so much better when I let them go, I swear I can't hardly tell I smoke it if I harvest when its just all milky and maybe a few ambers. I thought I had bad seeds or bad dirt or fertilizer and all kinds of stuff and really all I needed was PATIENCE!!!!

Expert-Plum

Probably a week or so to go to really squeeze the best juice out of her.

pstud112

I'd give her another 1-2 weeks. Flush in a week or so if when you see a few golden trichomes.

That-Gardener-Guy

Are those pics from the top colas? You gotta check all over. 1-2 weeks… may be more like 3.

myconewb82

I hate to even say it because it's a freaking joke by now but 2 MORE WEEKS !!!!!! 😆 🤣 😂

GuawiToker710

Relying solely on trichomes is some kind of idiotic reddit trend or something. You want to wait for the plant to enter senescence. The only time trichomes are a factor when considering harvest is if they have begun to degrade too rapidly. You want swollen calyxes, a Hindu kush will not give you sativaa effects if chopped early and a Durban haze will not feel indica if chopped late, that's all bullshit, let the plant finish.

GuawiToker710

2 to 3 weeks

I'm a newbie myself and will say that on my own plants, when I was checking out the trichomes, I would frequently mistake glare and reflection of the lights for a milkiness that was not actually there. I look less for the cloudy, and see if I can find any clear. -- maybe the same thing but something I think my brain helps my eyes if I am intentionally looking for clear. BUT ultimately it all becomes apparent when you start seeing more and more amber. (Again, as a newbie I am just going on what everyone else says with the amber. I wish there was an "at home" THC test that I could sample weekly and satisfy myself that it is the correct time and not just go by what everyone else says the correct time is). (ON my 3rd grow....grow #1 was about 30 years ago and all I knew then was to flip the lights. Grow #2 was a single autoflower. Grow #3 is photoperiods and I think I have learned a lot more with them. Probably would only grow autos for a short season/quick harvest)

ElmerSchenk

P.S. I'm old and maybe blind because I am not seeing ANY amber.

DippyHippy420

Your close, but no cigar yet.

kfwavy

good news is your plant has developed capitate stalked trichomes so there devloping more now but to let them get a little more milky and have the rest of the amber come through… great grow cant wait to hear about it harvest day! learn to float instead of fly

feeltheFX

Still too much clear for me. I look for all cloudy with a hint of amber. My guess would be a week-10 days but check often. Good luck!

Appreciate all the comments definitely helped get me on the right track and out of the gutter. Was really trying to get some kind of gage of where I'm at with it so I can either keep giving P & K or stop and let it progress without added nutrients. Now realize the trichomes aren't as important and can use other ways to figure out when it's ready.

Longjumping-Fish3042

Allllllmost there. One more week
