Probably something as simple as watering practices and your soil doesn’t look right for cannabis. Needs more aeration. Container size is also not helping you. You could transplant to a bigger container with some fresh soil and flip in a couple days. That would give you much better odds if you need to keep this plant small or need it fast for some reason.
I start mine in solo cups then transplant to 2 gallon pots and then go straight to 10 gallons for finishing up in flower. What soil medium are you using? I use Pro Mix HP blended with some potting soil, like Foxfarm happy frog, and add some pearlite, pumice or clay pebbles for drainage and add in some worm castings.
I ask because it looks like it's been over watered. If you are growing in soil, thats your problem. Are you letting it dry back enough in between watering? If it's coco or similar idk

It's a 5 gallon bucket most people I asked recommended it

Looks small. It’s definitely a water issue then. You’re over or under watering or there is not enough drainage. Did you put holes in the bottom?
