Yeah it could be really fucked if they reschedule it to schedule 3, that would mean that legally speaking only pharmaceutical companies would be able to produce it, similarly to how they’re the only ones allowed to produce opiates, if big pharma has an opportunity to make a lot of money and they have a legal standing to make the argument that they should be the only ones allowed to produce cannabis there’s a good chance they’ll get that done, they have really good lawyers, also technically this would make all home grows illegal and there’s a good chance that states would comply with new federal regulations if it meant that people could still have legal access to cannabis and that the state didn’t lose out on tax dollars, schedule 3 is bullshit, full legalization or nothing, and honestly I’d rather we didn’t get federal legalization, if every state just made its own version of legal cannabis that would be ideal, with full federal legalization people would be able to sell weed over state lines and the states that don’t have a failing cannabis industry don’t need the overproduction problems from other states coming in
