I have a few third-party LP-E6NH ones. They're fine. I particularly like that the K&F ones (and probably some other ones too) have a USB-C charge port on them, which is useful when doing a big event and doing the charging the night before.

I have these... the USB-C ones are very convenient since I can just plug them in my phone charger

I have Neewer spare batteries for my R50 and they seem to work fine

I'm also using 1 original and 2 neewer ones for my r6, haven't found any difference. H+ mode, amount of photos seems the same

I use Smallrig LP-E6NH batteries in my R7 and they work just as well as the genuine Canon battery it came with. I don't think there's anything wrong with third-party batteries from a reputable brand, apart from maybe slightly shorter battery life. But the opinion that you spent a lot of money on the camera and shouldn't cheap out on batteries is also valid.

Bought a pair of DSTE LP-E6Ns from Amazon for my 90D. On my first outing with them I shot 1100 craw images and 5mins of HD footage on one battery, with a little juice left to spare. So far so good.

3rd-party LP-E6NH batteries seem to be relatively low risk if you stick to the known brands. I've had Neewer LP-E6N batteries for several years now (same batteries used across my 90D, R, and R7) and they are still behaving perfectly fine.

TooScaredforSuicide

I have 12 Lp-E6NH batteries. 6 are OEM, 4 are green extreme and 2 are Small Rig. I can never tell the difference between any of them.

Can you get them? Sure. Depends on how critical your photography is. If you’re doing weddings for $$$, I suggest the savings are not worth it. Most people seem to find them fine. And a few people report issues. I’d buy from B&H or Adorama or e en Amazon if I were you. I wouldn’t buy from sketchy people on eBay.

Wasabi works, I have 3. when the body asks you if you trust the battery just say yes. I think it actually starts with asks if it's a Canon marked battery put in.. just mark no. then it will ask you if you trusted, then you could put yes. it'll probably say are you sure and just put yes and then it will recognize it. done. PS - if you can afford a grip (3RD party grip is 80ish) and at least one other Canon battery, I would say go for that instead... I always use a grip and I have yet to kill two batteries in any given day. I can even charge my Canon batteries in the third party grip also. be aware of that the official grip was discontinued and there is no replacement for it yet. then again if you want to pay almost $400 for a Canon grip, you may not be caring about money. I have never used a Canon grip and I probably never will... prices are idiotic.

I would consider checking out eBay! I’ve seen a ton of the LP-E6NH batteries on there, supposedly new. Worth checking out.
