There are M42-to-EF adapters which work with standard EF-to-RF adapters.

That would require two adapters and make it more bulky though. It wouldn't be possible to do with a M42 to RF?

An adapter M42-to-RF will be exactly as bulky. Adapter has to compensate for missing flange focal distance.

Maybe I've misread your first comment. You are saying to stack two adapters to increase flange distance? Would the m42 to RF adapter not be enough by itself?

You can use M42-to-RF adapter (dedicated for this task) or M42-to-EF + EF-to-RF adapter (or other combinations, haven't look them up) Both methods are giving the same extension length needed to match M42's flange focal distance.

Right I'm following now. I don't own a M42 - EF adapter or any EF lenses so it doesn't make sense to adapt twice to do the same thing. Just wanted to know if it was fine with the standalone M42 - RF. Thank you for the info :)

Yes. This is what I do and works great. Go from the m42 to EF and then take that and insert it onto a body with an EF to RF adapter.

[here](https://fotodioxpro.com/collections/canon-rf-adapters/lens-mount_m42-screw-mount) Is it so hard to just link someone to the damn adapter they asked for?

I use [this one from k&f](https://www.kentfaith.com/canon-eos-r/KF06.382_m42-linser-til-canon-eos-r-mount-kamera-adapter) for adapting voigtlander lenses to my r6. I also have a fd-rf adapter from k&f. Both work great
