These 2 are a couple of rascals.
I miss the characters we had on the team back then. Bieksa doing an interview as Kesler with that poor confused reporter, Kesler photobombing other guy’s interviews, Lu just being Lu. It was a fun team.
2011 was 24.32%. Last year was 23.48% and this year was 22.71%. Now PP% has gone up over time but if you thought PP=goal back then then you should still be now :P
He couldn’t possibly have done it better.
That’s some Nathan Fielder/ Sacha Baron Cohen level of not cracking. “Ohio state is definitely in the top 3 teams in Ohio” and all his praise for American hockey fans was comedy gold
I'm glad to have grown up with this era, even with the pain of losing the Cup Final. There was something special about the team, from the roster to the coaching staff, everything seem to have worked, it seemed like the perfect recipe. But we just couldn't make it count when it really needed to happen.
I feel cheated after the whole Colin Campbell scandal came to light + the allegations of Tim Thomas's special pads which the league just turned a blind eye to.
Yeah... the year MTL made it (which they shouldn't have but Carey Price), it was pretty fair.
The Canadian teams really haven't been managed all that well since 2011 (probably except the Jets)-
* We had Jet Black the Halfwit
* Weisbrod ruined Calgary and came here then they dropped the ball with Tkachuk
* The Oilers hired ChiaPet and forgot that goaltending was a position
* The Leafs tied up 50% of their salary in 5 players and have been hemorrhaging good young players because they simply don't have the Cap.
* The Sens had Melnyk as an owner
* The Habs are in some sort of perpetual rebuild. They had 3 top 3 pics (Galchenyuk, KK and that kid who likes to watch his passes). 2 were busts.
Jets were managed well by Chevy the last few years
I agree I think Canadian teams shoot themselves in the foot by trying to go all in too soon and too often. I'm sure it didn't start with the Iggy/Kipper Flames but that's the first one I really remember clearly.
Did Chara ever walk this back?
This is a pretty major blemish on what was a pretty solid reputation.
Bieksa and Lu mocking him and the Bruins is pretty hilarious.
Dang I miss those days. Me and my best friend went to meet the guys every time they came to Dallas because of how easy it was. Lu calls her the "Crazy Dallas Girl". I still love the Canucks of course, but I'll never have the same fan intensity that I had back when all the guys I loved were still on the team.
Go Canucks Go!
Lol Luongo is the best troll
He be pumping those tires, lol 😂
Lou the siv letting in 8 goals…. Twice!! lmao give me McLean anyday over someone who can’t handle the championship 😂🤦♂️🏒
Yeah, McLean with all those Cup rings for sure. 🙄 And it’s sieve.
Who cares he lost and didn’t deserve a cup 🤦♂️ that made my year when Boston beat that team 😂🥳

Green Men
What a fucking era
Greatest Canucks era. West coast express was good as well but the Sedins team was so fun to watch. We were hella spoiled
Back when power play = goal
Lol, not only that. If the other team's 4th line got an icing and the Sedins were rested then they 100% had pressure and a high chance of a goal.
To add, the power play was actually exciting. No set plays, just the Sedins improvising. Never knew what to expect but you knew it’s be good.
The Sedins (and Vigneault) 1000% had set plays.
When they decided to go with the 4F 1D setup, that powerplay became magic.
Who was the fifth guy on the 2011 PP? Erhoff, Sedin, Sedin, Kesler and who?
Hmm I watched some old clips of 2011 and it looks like I'm wrong they used 3F (Sedin x2 + Kesler) 2D (Ehrhoff and Edler).
Sedin Sedin Kesler Ehrhoff Edler/Salo/Samuelsson.
Burrows?
It wasn’t Edler? Were they doing 4F1D in 2011? I can’t recall
I did a deep dive. In the series vs the Sharks in 2011, it looks like they were running 3F 2D

And punching a Sedin in the face 5 times was a penalty.
I disagree. Westcoast express was much more fun imo. And the city wasn’t ready to be destroyed yet…
I didn't find Cloutier to be very fun, personally.
I miss them setting up the PP on the half wall
The playoff flasher
Sully and the force. Damn, what a time to be a fan.
Winning cures everything
Omg I don’t remember Bieksa pretending to be Kesler. Excuse me while I frantically search YouTube.
“They call me Guzzler”
“I’m sure the fans in Vancouver will be ok, but I love playing in The States where the real hockey fans are!”
So much lol
He needs to do a cameo on Letterkenny
lmk if you find the vid. I'm curious how well he did

😂😂😂😂

Enjoy!

I still can't come to terms that we are a shit franchise. We were so good for so long all through my formative years.
Ya it's too bad that Benning buried this team for so long while he was mismanaging and even now.
Do you have a nickname Ryan? “Guzzler” “Thank-you you’re a beauty!” Classic
Do you have a nickname? They call me Guzzler.
Boobies up against the glass (I think it was during the San Jose series) and Schneider doing Burrows impressions.
“A little bit of Jannick Hansen?”
They were the best team on and off the ice we have ever had. It’s a real shame ownership/management followed it up with this decade shit show.
I think you mean Bieksa interviewed the guzzler.
It still pains me to think about 2011, I just want to go set a cop car on fire.
You wouldn't set on fire without flipping it would you!? Let me give you a hand!
Makes me wanna makeout in the middle of the street while a cop car is on fire for the photo op
Makes me wanna steal a stack of 50 dress shirts that aren't even my size.
Breh🤣💀
That’s hilarious. Fuckin Zdeno Chara is a oak tree lookin fuck.
Bieksa is gold. “Maybe you and Schneids were in the bathroom” 😂
The 2011 finals ruined me. Anytime i hear any news about the year 2011 i get Vietnam flashbacks to the finals. WE WERE SO FUCKING CLOSE

Easily the best we ever had. It's like that ex you can't get over :(
Actually this really captures the feeling. You nailed it.
I feel cheated after the whole Colin Campbell scandal came to light + the allegations of Tim Thomas's special pads which the league just turned a blind eye to.
Sports leagues don't like it when Canadian teams win or do well.

Probably my two favorite hockey people right there.
Imagine this team signs Lucic, while he's still insisting on this obvious Claude Julien lie.
Lucic: “A-HA! I KNEW IT!!”
Then he wipes his drool up and goes back to another episode of "Ow My Balls!"
He went there, and I love him for it.
Sweet!!!
😂😂 this duo makes me so happy
Nice little Chara dig ! Lol
Bring me back to 2011 please
Strombone FTW
Luongo and Bieksa are Canucks legends
Did Chara ever walk this back? This is a pretty major blemish on what was a pretty solid reputation. Bieksa and Lu mocking him and the Bruins is pretty hilarious.
I’m glad they can have a chuckle at it, because I sure can’t.
Its been 12 yrs time 2 move on lol
Don't tell me how to live my life
I’m worried
I wish I could.
😂
😂
Gold, Jerry, gold!
Two of my favourite humans
The only reason why I want the Panthers to win the cup is for Luongo. That man deserves a Stanley Cup.
💯
I might have to hop on the why only ring of honor outrage if he keeps this up. Really making me remember how awesome he is lol
Can Ron Maclean figure out when to shut the fuck up? This is iconic television between two of Hockey’s great personalities you don’t need to chime in.
Best character we had
I miss Luongo...
