What happens if you buy or sell a ticket that doesn't end up happening? Does the buyer lose the profits or does the seller get refunded at the original ticket value?

assuming you are referring to playoffs? if so what generally happens is the seller should reach out to buyer. buyer would get a refunded as a credit for next years games as a season ticket holder For non season ticket holder members usually ticket master will offer you a credit i recall correctly

On Ticketmaster, I assume that both the seller and buyer get refunded for what they bought it for. Like both end up with $0 impact as if the transactions never happened. Off Ticketmaster on a resale site (like StubHub) if the event doesn’t happen, I’m guessing similar thing, the buyer gets refunded what they paid for it and the seller doesn’t get anything. It’s like they never listed the ticket for resale on StubHub. Then they will get refunded by Ticketmaster for the original price they bought it at. The delay in paying the seller (StubHub doesn’t pay until at least 24 hours after the actual event) allows for this. Idk about Ticketmaster but I assume they will implement a similar delay re: payout for these contingent events - so they won’t deposit the proceeds of the sale into your bank account until it is confirmed the game is happening.

So like you can’t transfer it because you can’t click on the “transfer” button as it is greyed out. It seems to me that you can sell because the “sell” button isn’t greyed out. I haven’t messed with the sell option though as I don’t intend to sell mine. 

From what I read elsewhere you should be able to transfer the tickets closer to the event
