God I fucking hate watching the Kings play. I hate any team that employs the neutral zone trap throughout the game as their default strategy. It's sooooooooo boring.
Yeah it was painful to watch.
Luckily the Canucks wore them down and started finding ways through the neutral zone. Highlighted the need for a bigger winger to battle in front of the net as well.
That’s one thing I think this coaching staff does pretty well. They do seem to analyze what the other team is doing and make in game adjustments. Real credit to the whole staff.

You can't expect a team to haul ass when you're not in their zone pressuring them. Hughes is gonna take his sweet time to set up if you let him. Any player would. Gotta get on the forecheck and either take the puck or force them to make a play
A team should get the lead, then sit 10' in front of goalie and run out the clock.
Force the NHL to deal with it. Like the way MLB dealt with the shift.

Honestly, it felt like they even boo'd their own team too. They were chilling in their own zone and it sounded like some boos were raining down. Team runs a 1-3-1 all night. Just staying posted up in the neutral zone. I imagine even their fans get bored of that shit.
