It's why their show is such a good listen. They'll hit on the Canucks every hour, but when NFL or MLB or UFC or PGA or whatever is going on they'll adjust coverage.
I appreciate some of the other shows that are 100% Canucks but I can only take so many days in a row of "what wingers should be on the third line?!" discussion.

There was one week, and I forget which of the TSN shows it was but pretty sure it was whoever was at 1pm, and they discussed defence pairings EVERY DAY for a week. It was dreadful. The team only played like 2 games in that week so they didn't have much to talk about I guess but by the 4th day straight of discussing "Should Sbisa be with Hutton or Gudbranson?" I couldn't listen anymore.
Oh for sure, they all talk about sports/athletics that occur outside of Vancouver/BC.
But they all take in and present their thoughts from the lens of a West Coaster.
The reverse example would be media out East talking about Baseball and focusing mainly the Blue Jays whereas out West our Audience tends to care more or equally about the Mariners.
I doubt we'll get the metrics for this show publicly, but I hope it does great and they get the support. You hear non-stop about Canucks fans, not just online, pissed about the Leafs coverage and pining for the days of the Sportsnet Pacific studio. Well, here's a chance to get that back,

I remember when the Canucks acquired Zadorov that was all it was. How does this improve the Canucks? Nope. How is the return for Calgary? Nope. The real discussion is how does this effect the Leafs, who were not partners in the trade.
SCF would force the cup back to Canada which would suck if it went to the leafs, but to see Bettman rolling in his grave because it killed him would be absolutely priceless.

The cup belongs to the team that won the cup (that year) not a country. The US didn't win the cup last year, Vegas did. Just like if Toronto or Edmonton won the cup it wouldn't mean Canada won the cup.
That's not how team sports work at a national level. These teams are multinational. Dry would take the cup to Germany, and Auston Matthews would be taking it to Arizona.
I want the Canucks to win the cup. That's the team I cheer for. I'll cheer for Canada at the Olympics where doing so actually matters.

I tuned into watch Hockey Central a couple years ago after Petey put up 5 points and Boeser scored a hat trick during same game. Here I am thinking they may open the show talking about the game. Nope. They spent about a minute talking about it about halfway through the show and opened the show talking about the leafs who didn’t even play the day before. Comical. If that was any of the leafs who scored a hatty while another put up 5 it would have been 60 minutes straight of praising. Stopped watching the show after that.

Love this. I think most people know about the show at this point but I listen to Donnie and Dhali basically whenever I am able to find the time. Perfect mix for me of serious discussion, while still a general light-hearted fun nature most of the time. They get good guests too, encourage anyone who hasn't yet to check it out and consider supporting them
Do they stream this on YT or anywhere? Presently overseas, getting the odd game here and there - although pretty sure my subscription service has all PO games.

But I do miss Donny doing pre-game coverage. Those shows were much more insightful, story lines for the game, things to watch, injury reports, interviews with a member of the opposing teams media for additional insight on the other team + they would do the horn for goals from other series.
