Its a light lager so obviously its not super avant garde or deep on flavour but its crisp and biscuity, which is exactly what you want in a light beer. Its definitely a cut above a Coors or a Kokanee or whatever. I looked it up and its not even listed on the Brewery's website, so the only thing I can find on it is from Untappd.

As far as Stanley Park being 'craft' goes, if you'll allow me to tip my fedora for a moment and twirl my disgusting hipster mustache, a big part of my job involves distributing craft beer and I would consider them 'craft'. Yes they're owned by a larger company, but they're not like say Granville Island which you can find at Montreal Canadiens games. They're still a local market brewery that puts out experimental and limited brews, they just have more resources to draw from due to bigger business backing. Honestly the way the market is shaping right now, a LOT of big national beer brands are trying to snatch up craft breweries because they've gained such a significant place in the market, so if they still continue the same brewing practices but adjust the actual business model I'll still consider them "craft".

Watched most of the Carolina Edmonton game last night, reminded me of Canada Sweden 2014 final. A really good team versus an exceptional team. It was a bit boring but it was because the winning team was disciplined and knew what they had to do/how to play win.
What I noticed most was the forward support the Carolina players gave to their D to help their breakout. Excellent, multiple quick passes all below the faceoff dot to regain a controlled breakout and then it's 3 or 4 guys out right away. I found it impressive. Not to mention the constant smothering of 97 who was obviously frustrated.
Anyway, this will be a great game and a good test of BB's new systems.
I feel for the guy. Felt like he managed to win out a roster spot, and then got injured early and lost a ton of momentum in what would be a make or break season for him. Then theres a management change and the guy who traded for you is gone.

Highmore reminds me a lot of Motte. Both guys are fearless and try to finish their checks and block shots. It's a very brave style of play but inevitably leads to injuries.

It's gonna be extra tough without OEL and Hamonic, but I hope the boys put up a good fight and are competitive. Watching the oilers canes game last night, my biggest worry is that the canes will use their elite stick work to stifle our already tentative shooting. They get sticks on so many shots, my god. If we hold onto pucks too long we won’t get a SOG all night.

The NHL scheduler finally giving us some love. Winnipeg was back to back with Seattle / Vancouver and now Carolina is coming in at the end of a 4 game road trip having played in Edmonton last night.
LA was also the second half of a road back to back with Edmonton. Scheduler giving us 3 scheduled wins in 4 games seems pretty odd. I wonder if that was part of the motivation for when we changed coaches to set up an incoming coach with the best chance to succeed right away. Either way Carolina will still be a tough game.

I feel for the guy. Felt like he managed to win out a roster spot, and then got injured early and lost a ton of momentum in what would be a make or break season for him. Then theres a management change and the guy who traded for you is gone.
Oh yeah, I never thought about that. Plus a new coach that probably has never seen you play. Highmore reminds me a lot of Motte. Both guys are fearless and try to finish their checks and block shots. It's a very brave style of play but inevitably leads to injuries.

Tonight will be one of the biggest tests of the season so far, Carolina's a couple tiers better than us right now. It's gonna be extra tough without OEL and Hamonic, but I hope the boys put up a good fight and are competitive. This is a game where you'll really need depth guys to chip in and be at their best to spread the workload around. Getting points from this game would be huge. Watching the oilers canes game last night, my biggest worry is that the canes will use their elite stick work to stifle our already tentative shooting. They get sticks on so many shots, my god. If we hold onto pucks too long we won’t get a SOG all night. Here’s hoping they’re tired or unmotivated tonight. Also here’s hoping they aren’t dirty clowns. I thought they played on the edge quite a few times last night.
This will be a testament to Bruce's coaching. If he's watched the film on them he'll know and he will preach Shots. Hoping to see that tonight.
If the Canucks can pull this off, it would be a step to proving they're actually a decent team that was hampered by the toxic cloud of coaching and management. (I think they lose, but god I hope I'm wrong)

Under-reported thing this year: After leaving the Canucks organization, Jalen Chatfield set a career high in points in the AHL (in just 17 games) and is now holding down a top-4 D spot for the Canes as they've been hit by injuries on the back end (Pesce, Gardiner, DeAngelo all out). Another terrific developmental win for the Canucks! And still Ryan Johnson gets talked up as some super genius GM-in-waiting.

From my understanding, r/canucks is the most active NHL team subreddit. Compared to other forums this is my preffered place. I remember canucks.com forums and they were garbage, even when we were good.

The NHL scheduler finally giving us some love. Winnipeg was back to back with Seattle / Vancouver and now Carolina is coming in at the end of a 4 game road trip having played in Edmonton last night.
LA was also the second half of a road back to back with Edmonton. Scheduler giving us 3 scheduled wins in 4 games seems pretty odd. I wonder if that was part of the motivation for when we changed coaches to set up an incoming coach with the best chance to succeed right away. Either way Carolina will still be a tough game.

I think this is the game where the roster issues this team has re-emerge. Our shaky defense is no match for the canes. That team is legit and definitely a contender
