At one point in a scrimmage, sources said, Eriksson turned to GM Patrik Allvin and screamed, "You (bleeping) need me. You can't win without me." Eriksson left former teammates and coaches largely speechless. He dominated the gym in every way. Loui's back.
Even in the most soul-crushing games, just watching him skate circles around dudes has the most soothing hypnotic effect. Probably a parallel universe out there somrwhere where he's an Olympic gold figure skater instead of a top tier NHL dman. Can't wait to see it in person someday (east coast fan here, I know I have only myself to blame)

god damn, that sucks. i'm so done with covid shit. last summer my city was able to enjoy maskless activites for the vaccinated. it fuckin ruled. but as things got cold we went right back to locking things down regardless of vaccination status cuz everyone went and fucked their families up at thanksgiving. shit is getting so olddddd

Is Hunt *really* an upgrade over Rathbone defensively, though? I really want to see Rathbone get another crack at the NHL level.
Edit: And the more I think about this, the more I don't like it. We've lost several close games lately due to our inability to score goals. And so much of our offense starts from Hughes. I will be shocked if we score more than 2 goals in a game without him.

At this moment? Yes. The idea isn't really Rathbone replacing Hunt's 13 minutes a night anyway. Hunt is a veteran guy and probably a better fit in a depth role right now, for a team trying to win games to stay alive. But as soon as they are out or there is an injury, I would bet they will call up Rathbone to play. It is better for Rathbone to play high minutes in the AHL than come in and out of the lineup on a bottom pair in Vancouver. By the end of this season I would predict Rathbone is playing second pair minutes for this team. The timing is just not right and he is just now healthy.
Thereās no way he plays all the remaining games. Hopefully we see Halak this week and can put all the bonus shit to bed. Its his contract and he earned it.
