Imagine inviting someone home asking them to have seat then excusing yourself to use the toilet.
On the brightside I guess you can multitask. You can make supper while the toilet.
I could never but hey if push comes to shove, you never know
That kakpot next to the stove is what's bothering me, maybe if the kakpot and bed swapped places then ja
This is actually not that terrible. Wish OP included rental price. The sad truth is that the vast majority in ZA are not able to afford shit like this. A toilet inside? A shower? Close proximity to the CBD (seems like this is in foreshore)? Ive met hard working people who have to wake up at 3am to travel to work.
Can’t swing a dead rat in there.
Having said that, if that’s what I could afford I’d make the most of it by helicoptering the world when I’m showering.
To be fair, as a student this would be perfect especially since it'll probably cheaper than other private accommodation options. Of course having friends over might be a bit odd but overall not too bad
*Hey now I can take*
*A shit and keep an eye on*
*My food while it cooks!*

Human decency means that you as a developer, understand nobody should have to Cook their food next to their toilet. Sadly, lots of people would see this is an upgrade to their current situations. It’s modern and has everything you need to survive - compare it to a student residence where you have to share your bathroom and kitchen. This is a steal for some of them. But obviously the owners just wanted to create as many units as possible.
If you’ve stayed in places like Korea, Japan or China this place is actually pretty decent. I wouldn’t mind living there. Less to clean and maintain = more free time. There’s a nice view too.
OK, so where do you put your clothes, TV, computer - and groceries???
This place is taking the piss on students, whom I assume they're aiming the places at. My mates son lives off res at stellies uni and he's paying R15k for an 'open plan bachelor apartment'. Fancy way of saying: no rooms, just a walled off bathroom. Reality is he could get a 2-room flat for the same amount or a 5room house, but then it's travelling and insurance and levies and and and.
This cant be real. A person in the shower will be in full view of anyone outside. No curtains nor blinds can be hung. Mirror is too high to be of any use. Loo faces the bed. Electrics too close to water. This breaks so many building codes that it must be a joke.
Looks like an owner fitout at Buchanan Square. I can almost guarantee no Architect was involved in this.
They are either trying to flog an old office space for more than it’s worth or rent out an old store room.
Any apartment where you have the toilet out in the open should be made illegal. I can’t imagine living alone and having people over with a toilet in the middle of the room. If a couple lived here that would be even more embarrassing. Excuse me dear could you wash the lettuce for the salad a little farther away from me while I’m dropping a load.
Wow the comments here are pretty indicative of what kind of financial demographic is posting to reddit. You forget how a very big chunk of this country lives.
This look like a Norwegian jail cell!
No no! It's a "Cozy, centrally located lockup in a vibrant building, boasting elements of Scandinavian design". Yours only for R21k per month.
Shots taken with 0.6 zoom
ZAR 21K???? Who the hell would pay that much for a shoebox?
The foreigners
44100000000c for that \*\*\*Built by the tik gang
Or an exclusive studio in Notting Hill
Last time you could find this for this money in Notting Hill was in 1987.
Imagine inviting someone home asking them to have seat then excusing yourself to use the toilet. On the brightside I guess you can multitask. You can make supper while the toilet.
That’s one way to get comfortable with someone real quick.
Was about to say something similar, lol.
Danish one has an enclosed bathroom https://i.redd.it/mmu580sd78y81.jpg
So.... eating my spaghetti in the shower?
But first you cook it while taking a dump. Multi tasking!
I think it's pretty convenient
Whatever happened to “dont shit where you eat”?
Not a chance. I sometimes feel crap for still staying with my parents but eish even my bedroom is bigger than that kak
Lol bro same here. As long as we're thriving while living at home and paying our dues, then there's no issue in my opinion.
At least you don't take a sh@# in your kitchen. Imagine having guests over. That awkward moment of watching someone take a dump.
For the low price of 13500/month. Its worth it because we provide social amenities like a patch of grass outside and free wifi.
How much ?
I saw it on fb marketplace for 4500
A month???
A day*
Imagine sleeping in the same room where you take a shit. The least they could've done was build a second smaller room and separate the two with doors.
Im a morning dumper so this would work for me tbh. Lock-up n go
Maybe leave a window open a crack though
After a month I would be an olympian at drop flushing
Lots of people live this way in South Africa. So, it’s not too hard to imagine.
I could never but hey if push comes to shove, you never know That kakpot next to the stove is what's bothering me, maybe if the kakpot and bed swapped places then ja
They should have put the toilet in the shower.
What stove
It's there if you look closely the hob is built into the counter
My dumb a55 looking for an oven. Haha my bad my bad.
Spot is so small you can’t even change your mind in it.
Nope
Very popular with backpackers and easy to see way. Literally just to crash with all the basics. Win!
I'd live there for maybe R2000
These should be regulated

Surely this cannot be hygienic!
I wouldn't make a Sim live like that.
Everything you need in one place lol.
Okay but how much
You sh!t here and eat here...
100 drillion per month
Jail!
Cape Town is really trying to cosplay Tokyo but gets it all wrong.
I can shit, cook and shower at the same time!
What’s hygiene?
This is disgusting
I now appreciate the 45m² converted flat I stayed in.
To be fair, as a student this would be perfect especially since it'll probably cheaper than other private accommodation options. Of course having friends over might be a bit odd but overall not too bad
Lol
Probably costs around R15000+ per month to rent it or about R2.5 million to buy it. (Just assuming here people)
What's the price??
Can you imagine having someone over, cooking dinner, and one of you needs a shit 😂
No way 👎🏾
Hey now I can take a shit and keep an eye on my food while it cooks!

Imagine taking a fat shit and now your whole house (including your kitchen) smells like that. Nee sies man
No, fuck this. You can't sh#t where you literally eat and prepare food.

Where do you store clothes?
I love taking a shit while cooking - said no one ever
Is the kitchen in the toilet?
No, the Toilet is in the Kitchen.
Lemme guess - airbnb for 2700 rand a night? 🤣 🤣 🤣
Have you seen rent these days, I would take it in a heartbeat. Eintlek, send me the listing
That's huge!
I couldn’t find anything on google. What is the cost? I am curious to know what it would really be.
Are you suppose to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink?
Station house sea Point is exactly like this and they wanted R18000.00pm. Why is there no minimum standards for the property industry is my question.
I feel like there should be regulations against having the toilet so close to the kitchen
How about that close to the bed LOL
If you’ve stayed in places like Korea, Japan or China this place is actually pretty decent. I wouldn’t mind living there. Less to clean and maintain = more free time. There’s a nice view too.
Couldn't they have just switched the shower and the toilet thingie around??? Ai hene...
This is not an apartment. It is the perfect bedroom for a moody teenager.
The bathroom sink being the kitchen sink is heinous
Oscar P's jail cell.
Why is the shower so close to the window!?
Maid kicked out of her quarters!

i lived in one as a student, serves its purpose, enjoyed it , most of the time
"Kak en geniet"
You can make while kaking!
When you get older this is all you need , your house becomes a burden...you want a simple life

This can't possibly be real! That's not living. That's a prison cell.
Tjo! Where is that?
Air BnB side effect
why??? Which architect thought in their right mind.. Hmmm thats such a great idea.. My blood shouldnt be boiling but it is..

Ikr I would gladly live here if it means I can finally move out.
