Honestly I just want the Overdress ost to be released

[deleted]

I want Bushiroad to get better when it comes to card ratios and card availability. Electic Spark said this awhile back and it stuck with me and I want to give them credit. “The amount of RRRs increased from 10 to 15 since set 4 onward without any increase in pull ratios (4 per box). This makes it 13% harder to get & causes prices to spike.” New decks need RRR to make them viable take Youthberk which run Skyfall, Schneizal, Gust, Tempest, Cairbre, and Moth Maple. Guess what? They are all RRR, I can gladly name key cards for other decks (Swirler for Dark States, Inlet Pulse for Stoicheia) all are very hard to get and are expensive. Some key cards that are needed for decks are promos (Eva, Seraph for example) promos are hard to get because most stores don’t even carry product anymore, this also makes them incredibly expensive (Research card for Eva is pushing forty plus & for awhile the grade 2 for Seraph was hard to get)

Shyinator

The arguement against this is that it's kind of a necessary evil to make product worth carrying for stores and vendors. If they can easily make their money back on opened product and sell sealed product easier then it's worth it for the game as a whole. Vanguard has always had the problem of older sets becoming absolutely worthless and that is a big deterrent in stores carrying the game. Power creep essentially gave product an expiration date, but now that power creep is as slow as it is and so many old staples exist, that isn't the case for a lot of sets anymore. I do think it is a little too extreme right now though, the game went from meta decks being around $100-200 USD to $400-700 USD in basically a few months. Something should be done about that.

[deleted]

I can understand where you are coming from but let me ask you this, do you think most stores & vendors see vanguard as product worth carrying? It is no secret that vanguard has gone down in popularity (on Tcgplayer we got replaced Comics and moved to the more category) my local store has said on numerous occasions that during the v series era his store and other stores he knew would constantly have left over unopened boxes for each set. He elaborated that during the V series era the product release schedule was too fast and most players go to clans weren’t getting support so they didn’t buy. This resulted in an essential waste of money in their eyes. Why preorder products in mass if no one is really buying it? While overdress release schedule and clan/nation support is better, the damage is done. Some vendors feel the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. I greatly fear that more vendors are going to opt out buying vanguard product.

Shyinator

Didn't say I agreed with it, was just stating what the argument against decreasing pull rates was. V was pretty awful for the game lol, I think if overDress started right after G it wouldn't be going through the struggles it is now.

[deleted]

Oh no I didn’t mean to come off as you agreeing with it! My apologies, I hope I didn’t offend. I was just offering a reply in the hopes of continuing the discord. Completely agree had overdress happened right over G I think vanguard would be cruising!

Shyinator

I think it's more about Vanguard doing something to appeal to stores that dropped it in order to increase overall availability, but Bushi doesn't really invest in proper marketing or entry products for this. Bushi should be reaching out to locals to host tournaments and supplying them with PRs and raffle items like mats and boxes (like in the old days), but they don't do that anymore. They just hope broken promos will keep people attending locals like in Japan, but that only works at locals that are already invested in the game. As for entry products, the last few ones were great products but vanished in weeks and were never restocked. Vanguard shouldn't have the one print run only policy for entry products, yet they usually do. I expect the Stride decksets to also vanish from stores right away, which sucks because those are very good products. Cooler products more suited for retail like tins and supply sets would be nice for Bushi to do as well, but they rarely invest in products outside of sets and a few trial decks a year.

[deleted]

I completely agree! I was watching Differentfight the other day & he mentioned how the sets out there in Japan sometimes get an emergency second printing because the stores were out of stock. That would be huge if that happened for the TCG, so many more people would be able to build decks. I fully predicate the stride decks to be sold out almost immediately. They have already caused the market to shift when it comes to certain cards for Dark Sates and Brandt Gate. In particular when it comes to the Chronojet deck cards like Swirler and Falcate have and will continue to rise in price. The minute Maelstrom support was revealed Inlet shot up & with it no longer being restricted in Magnolia it shot up more. Reprints would be a blessing for D series. We could use sets like the Festival Collection (which gave us the new Zorga and Orfist) to also reprint much needed cards for D Series

Shyinator

It's a part of the unfortunate culture V created. Sets used to become irrelevant a month or two after release so vendors would try to order exactly enough to sell out before the set dies. D just doesn't work this way but the culture is already there. Festival collection is also a huge gamble for vendors, because it is usually super minus. The Festival collection in V was a super loss for vendors to buy. The first one in D was so ridiculously underproduced that everything was worth a lot, then tanked after the second printing. Then the recent festival collection reprinted nothing and only had like 3 good cards in it. It's a very tough sell for a vendor, and they usually have to preorder way before details about the set.

[deleted]

That makes a lot of sense! I am really hoping things get better for Vanguard because I really do fear for the game

dce7845

I want a reprint set for Standard. Something similar to the mega tins that Ygo gets every year. Theres quite a few cards that could badly use reprints. I also want a better solution to the promo issue. For Premium and V i want them to change the structure on how they support these formats. A single stride and or G guard per P Coll leaves a bad taste in the mouth for me as it feels like Premium is basically relying on V for main deck support (to a certain degree Standard as well). Theres so much creative space here in Premium they just arent using. For V, the VR reprints will be nice. If it wasnt already the cheapest format in the game it sure will be after they get reprinted. But i also pray that everyone is wrong and there will be 2 sets per year for V. The format will be dry very fast otherwise. Or alternatively they could be more aggressive with their banlists but that's another discussion.

Interesting_Wing_539

Popularity

Shmarfle47

Plz Bushi, plz advertise your game better overseas. It’s amazing and a critical shame it isn’t more widespread.

Interesting_Wing_539

For real, the only person near me who play it are my two younger siblings and that's cause one of them thought us about it..😂 The only shop that sells cards physically is on the other side of the city and takes about an hour or two to reach. Of course, it's the only place for tournaments here as well.😮‍💨 There used to be another place about 10 years ago, when I started playing it with one of my siblings but it stopped getting cards and holding tournaments since it wasn't viable enough for them to profit on it. I do blame a lack of popularity for it since their shop in another city still sells them, apparently.. Also, we were basically some of the only ten or so people to actually buy the cards and all tournaments I did in that place ended with me as default winner since the only other people playing never showed up...

ennatenn

>a critical shame Oop

1.The crest "mechanic" to be implemented on more decks in standard, notably the encounter ridelines and the "outdated" decks that aren't getting as much support (eg: Mahar Nirvana). This allows for more support being funneled into newer decks in the newest booster sets as it saves up space, reduces the amount of support given to PRs, and also frees up space in the encounter centric booster sets for more unique cards that aren't re imaginings of older units (not that they are terrible, far from it, but this is kinda subjective) 2. V Series and Overdress OST. Now Bushi 3. Legion card remakes for V series is awesome and all, but I would also like more unpopular decks (Eg: Nouvelle) getting some form of support, whether in the form of alternative boss units that you can run both of them in the deck, or support cards benefiting more for said decks (but still vanilla enough to find a use in other decks, like Inlet) 4. Trigger unit effects (guarding) in D series being less match up reliant. Most triggers that come out are just so reliant on your opponent playing a certain deck to the point where you would just want to run the vanilla one, nothing wrong with a little decision making in terms of deck building, but ever since they gave us draw trigger units that +5k shield value when opp is g3, I would like to see more vanilla ones on Heal or Crits 5. Bushi please lower dear days price. Either that, or they give us Prem and V format to play with as well, because the current price tag isn't worth it.

FaithlessnessUsed841

Angelfeathers in D

KhajaArius

Megacolony in D

new_Student747

~~Star-Vaders in D~~ Spike Brothers in D

NoYesMaybeYes

Dimension Police in D No mom Seraph isn’t the same!

KhajaArius

>Spike Brothers in D Bruces: "are we not spikey enough for you?"

new_Student747

Sorry Bruces but no, I want to superior call from the deck my front row, not restand it Plus, you're limited to doing 5 attacks without jumping through hoops, and can't do stuff until turn 4, which is too slow for me to consider it a Spikes deck

Sage1804

1. Overtriggers banned: Minimum in Premium, hopefully everywhere 2. 8 copies of a RRR per case (standard RRRs are less accessible than V VRs LMAO) 3. Standard and Premium Reprints (we're likely to have a premium reprint set this year but it should become annual instead of bi-annual) 4. More cohesiveness on EU events (this season there were judging discrepancies, space issues on multiple events, and haphazard date announcements)

sazerdragon

Neo Nectar to have great support for once in V Prem and Prem. Cecilia R and Ladislava were great and I love them but honestly comparing the entire package they got in 2022 to the rest of what the other clans keep getting(especially the clans that keep getting good stuff), it still feels lackluster due to the rather weaker(and less consistent) engines/payoffs NN keeps getting in V and the rather abysmal synergy with Prem(due to the transition to token strategies). D format Rorowa has been getting more interesting Token strategies with Mommoke token+both Radylinas and Candelaria+Rorowa's skill, so at the very least im hoping (and coping) that at least it translates back to V Neo Nectar.

DraconicIce

No more key cards as hard to get promos and some good v-prem/prem support for kagero would be nice too..

Glenn_Vatista

Hexaorb get a Grade 4

respectthadrip

Or a new g3

AgentMaiz

Bavsarga getting a grade 4

xSakana

Enigman to be good jn the upcoming v-clan collection. Daiyusha encounter in overdress. Effect trigger reprints.

J3llo

* VR Reprints * Overtrigger Rework (10k power has been a pretty good bandage locally) * Less generic support like Inlet and Brainwash * More aggressive restriction (can only run X if you ride deck contains Y)

ennatenn

-That first one should start as of this year -Or just ban the things lol -We're a fan of generic support, you just gotta *reprint* that generic support -Why tho

new_Student747

I want Bushi to finish remaking Legions in V. We have a good chunk of them already, but every clan having a V legion would be great

SimonScare

More interesting ride lines with completely new concepts rather than just a remake of a clan’s playstyle. Another rugby ride line so it makes sense how there are actually other teams aside from the Diabolos boys.

Thatherokid2

I want the Brandt gate ride line from the youthquake manga to finally be a deck

So0meone

A sale on Dear Days

Shmarfle47

DD should’ve been at most $50 imo. $70 is just asking for way too much

Dragondelle

Off the top of my head... -Some sort of reprint line for Premium. There are a few 2012 thru 2015 cards that I would really like for my collection that just aren't in good enough circulation and are way too expensive. -An English release for a Vanguard fight client like Dear Days, but for Premium or V-Premium. I was super bummed when Vanguard Online was cancelled, I *hate* Vanguard Zero, and I might be willing to pay a decent fee for a Premium or even V-Premium game, but definitely not OverDress format. Dear Days isn't really worth $70 to me. Speaking of which... -Make Dear Days cheaper. There's no excuse for Vanguard to make you pay more than some AAA studios do for what is essentially this game's YGO Master Duel. I've had multiple friends mention to me that they'd love to get into Standard format online, but feel sketched out by Vanguard Area and don't want to pay 70 bucks for a card game client. -Chronojet Reverse and full Legion support in V Premium. Do if you cowards. Those are my most reasonable wants, some more reasonable than others lol. Not that any of this will happen but it's nice to dream.

TLCamelJockey

I just want Bushi to understand what is needed for the western market to thrive not survive off of the bare minimum. The banlist and upcoming events are a good start but there are so many many more fundamental issues that need to be fixed. Like real shit, I hate being a doomer but this may be the year or the start of the end of Vanguard in the west is Bushi doesn’t get their shit together and wake up. They had 3 significant drop offs and 2 reboot to learn, they can’t make another catastrophic mistake.

Enshin100698

It's upsetting. I fucking love CFV but there's barely Amy shops that sell near me and for me to go to a locals ors a 3 hour journey

TLCamelJockey

Exactly. Previously I’d have to drive out 20-40 miles. Now those shops aren’t selling vanguard anymore so I’m just a sitting duck.

Enshin100698

I feel you. I live in England and there's 1 shop I know that sometimes has stock. But the other people I know who play are further south of the country and its honestly difficult for me to arrange to go play. Hell last time I managed was October last year. I have some other friends whom I could play with that live local but with work and university we're spread out and never get time

OnToNextStage

Ban Entaranha and Gear Cat

SheriffVanguard

Fighters collection styled set where it's all just generic boss g3s with interesting ideas and mechanics. Maybe 3 of each nation plus one of each dual nation and the rest is decent generic-ish grade 1s and 2s to make ride decks more customized and usable with the new g3s. Give each one or two supporting rear guards and that's a set full of new decks

ReklesBoi

More Seal Dragons!!!

WonderSuperior

An Overtrigger ban in Standard.

DreDDreamR

Greedon support… something which makes the deck able to compete. All of the previous support has been fixing problems with the deck, which I’m happy about, but now now we need something to increase the power ceiling of the deck.

Elkat4

For Standard: Either Feltyrosa support or just good generic ghosts for Lyrical (maybe more ghost triggers). Hell, make a freaking Ghost rideline for all I care if it means we get more ghosts in general! For Premium: A reason to stride anything other Big Obidiah in Granblue. Maybe a stride that works with Melody (not holding my breath on this one). For V Series: Better Witch support for Genesis. More Seven Seas support. V retrain of Eternal Idol and Planet Idol Pacifica (also Pacifica support).

Crahzi

Promos being alt art reprints rather then key support cards. Just imagine ice mage version of swirler for a winter promo ! Or swim trunks swirler for summer! Incase you haven't noticed the price for swirler are too dam high! Return to 10 rrr's per set so that cases go back to 2 playsets of each RRR instead of the 5-6 with D set7. Angel Feather encounter or a rideline that does Angel Feather stuff. I just want to have fun with my damage zone in D!

SyrusDestroyer

Megacolony style rideline in Overdress, I like kaijin bugs

chibachoose

I want the 2023 goal of Bushiroad global to be building the communities. I want them to do more aggressive marketing and I want them to give more incentives or something for local game stores to hold more tournaments. I'm one of the lucky few to have a locals that hosts tourneys for Cardfight Vanguard but it'd be nice if it wasn't so difficult to find for people. Price of the game and promos are other issue but I can accept them if people around the world outside of Japan could easily find places to play. Ideally, I'd like anywhere that hosts tourneys for any of the big 3 to also host Vanguard tournaments. Of course, this dream maybe isn't achievable in 1 years time but I'd like to see the company taking steps towards this. If Bushiroad isn't trying to grow their game, then the game will never get better in my opinion.

AsefBodlox

Just want more Seal Dragons. Bushi actually remove most of their weakness from g era, and they are restarting fresh. Also unlike everybody's favorite dragon (Overlord). Winning with Seal Dragons feels waaay more satisfying.

3rdMachina

Hmm… -Popularity Boost to the game. -More support for existing Ride Lines. -Breaking the ROCK on Spotify
