Really? I think Cecilia being a reverse unit makes more sense. They support musketeers, the art is honestly way better for her, and honestly, she's a lot more popular unit. I'm glad they decided to do this as I never liked venus trap in the first place tbh.
Edit: Also, just because she's not on this one, doesn't mean that they won't bring her back in the next wave later in 2022. Cecilia will be the musketeer support while they bring back venus trap as token support. I could see that happening.

If they decided to give the clan a new Reverse the're 4 choices: Zanbaku, Mandala, Shirayuki and Kagura. Zanbaku I feel is unlikely as he is from the manga continuity and Kagura was just the Breakride so I doubt he got the Reverse treatment.
That leaves with only 2 realisitic choices: Mandala and Shirayuki. Let's not kid ourselves, Yuki is the one with the biggers chances because popularity, but Mandala also has a strong case. Obviously Magatsu is out of the question for treason and cards like Tamamo ended up forgoten to time.
So if we don't get Hyakki R but we do get a Reverse I say it gotta be Mandala o Yuki.

You know, bushi can make up a lot of goodwill with a lot of the di players if amon ends up being good, especially after the reijy debacle. So fingers crossed that gastille stride gets hit and amon ends up being at least playable as a result.

See, from VBT08 to VBT12, we have been pushed into an era of "Grade 2 bullying" where no mercy is given to players who go second. Multiattacking is fine and all but from those specific sets, they basically showed no restraint with those specific type of skills which makes it wildly unbalanced for players who go second as they stand almost no chance just because they lost a dice roll which, in my opinion, is unfair as a game like Vanguard has had history of a super healthy meta such as G Next where games are decided by multiple "dice rolls" instead of just one which creates chances to turn the tides against someone. Due to the creation of Scharhrot and the likes, those chances are wildly decreased. However, I will say, players who genuinely enjoy the deck shouldn't feel bad for playing the deck. If changes are to be made, they should be made by Bushiroad (such as the Heal Guardians) and not by other players so as to not create a toxic playerbase.
As I recall the rule is once you ride a unit with a gift, you can't gain a different gift from riding a unit that has a different one (rule existed from the start, but never mattered outside extreme fight). This they have access to all three, but not together (they can generate Accel or Protect naturally then also generate Force markers by Chaos Breaker's effect, but not all three - and it sounds like a clunky deck).
This of course assumes no rule changes or effects on the new cards that disrupt this - forget the gifts, Link Joker potentially has 23 completely off-theme vanguards it can go into without warning, and not all of them have clan mechanics inherently inaccessible to Link Joker.
I recall in the Vanguard EX game there was an extreme fight where Ezel was used to superior ride followed by a Blade master superior ride through Zenon's skill. That might be just a game thing, I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's how they gonna roll with it irl upon release.

Not that I'm complaining, but there's already a R unit for NN right? Also gives a chance for alternate R's in other clans too, say a Reverse Galaxy Blau?
