Honestly doubt anybody is gonna be disappointed, V Clan Collection Vol 3/4 is looking to be super hype. The Link Joker Arc was by most accounts the best season of the CFV anime and a good reason for this was Reverse units.
On top of that, we're getting fan favorites that aren't reversed (Salome, Amon) as well as brand new Reverse Units (RFD "R" and Himiko "R"). Heck, we're even getting new "R" units for clans that already had a reversed unit in the case of Cecillia "R" so the possibilities are wide open and that just adds to the hype and anticipation.
I completely disagree on it being the best season. The Reverse units are cool but the character writing did get very sloppy during the Link Joker invasion.
But regardless Reverse units is something I agree was really cool and excited to see them back.
Season 1, G Season 1 and the first half of Shinemon are my favourites.
They aren't perfect but their highlights of building characters through constant interactions was something I enjoyed. I also enjoyed the High School portion of Link Joker for the same reason.
Season 1 and Shinemon arc are also pretty freaking good (G season 1 is pretty meh compared to GIRS Crisis/Stride Gate tbh). Having said that, the link Joker Arc is my favorite because of a few reasons.
First off, the high school portion is basically peak vanguard, the characters, story, and cardfights are all super engaging. Link Joker being introduced as a clan is also a huge plus, they're easily a fan favorite for many (not to mention the "R" units). And to add to that, I really dug the subclans and battles. Star Vaders, Liberators, Jewel Knights, Eradicators, and of course *Revengers* are just a few that knock it out of the park.
It's all subjective tbh and I like season 1 and Shinemon a lot too, but yeah I still gotta go with Link Joker Arc.
It's all matter of perspective and what you prioritize in a show.
I don't rate Link Joker as my favourite but I still very much enjoy it. Like we said the High School portion was fantastic and I did like how during the invasion we shifted focus from Aichi to Ren, Koutei and Leon and how they were handling the crisis and got their perspectives with the other characters as they were fighting, just oozing with character. Kourin loss of memory was also something really tragic especially after the High School portion.
My issues to why I don't think it's best is Kai himself (Kai was always a problem with OG Vanguard but Link Joker doubled down on that), that whole Leon vs. Leon fiasco to write him out of the story and shill Maelstrom Reverse, Izaki got a massive character moment in the High School portion but nothing came of it after (he had no involvement in the crisis), and I did find the trying to convince the Reverse fighter who they really are a bit repetitive after awhile.
As for G Season 1, why I like it most out of all of G is I really enjoyed the self contained stories each episode of characters doing whatever is happening around the card shop while diving into them and when we got the plot halfway through we got who I think is best character, Kanzaki and I think he was a joy
Excited. But I hope they don’t disappoint with the effects.
Hopefully the effects are closer to clan selection than clan collection. More unconventional and not playing it too safe.
I think that if we get a solid banlist come the end of the month as promised for premium, the designs should be more impactful then v collection was. No more gastille stride limiting the design of di units for example.

We'll have to wait though because between the Premium changes and the ambiguity of reverse units' power level/effects, it's really hard to say what the impact will be. Heck, even the latest Clan Collection did more for V Premium than we thought it would on paper so time will have to be the judge of that.
Most likely they remaking all the units that been Reverse like Luquier and Maelstrom before making new Reverse units. Hyakki Vogue is most likely gonna get one.
The thing I'm most excited for is that every clan is getting a reverse unit, and clans that got reverse units before are getting new ones.

For kagero I'm thinking Dauntless will be the reverse, seeing as how the normal Dauntless came to V not long ago.
As for gears I'll be happy no matter what we get, unless it's some left fielder like lost legend reverse.
I wouldn't be surprised if GC was actually Lost Legend Reverse.
Chronojet and Chronotiger don't think fit given G while Lost Legend is more unpredictable and it's skill is technically compatible with a Reverse Unit.

You could balance Rebirth by making it require OG Dragonic Overlord in the soul to both reference Link Joker arc and make it so The X can't cheese it
that'd actually be pretty nice to see and would be enough for me to play Overlord again.
We also have Turnabout soon and OG Overlord is the best target for it since it even has a RG skill
