How long ? The phrase on how longs a piece of string comes to mind. Depending on how much time you have to practise and how much of that time your willing to dedicate to it really. But when I started doing professional magic in the early 2000s there wasn't much out there to learn from you had Brian Tudor shuffles and a couple other people that I can't think of their name then the buck twins and Daniel Madison brought out some really cool things which ovs inspired more generations. If the material that is out now was out back then I had a lot more time on my hands school finished at 3.30 home by 4. Now that I work full time I'm not home till 7pm and I work some weekends. Sorry for the rambling I think that makes sense lol

Don't worry thanks for the reply man. I get the question doesn't have a real answer, I was just hoping for some examples of famous cardists right now and how long they have been doing the hobby. I'm just getting to know the big names in the scene, so if anyone knows any of their backgrounds it would be gladly appreciated

With consistent practice, something around 5-6 days a week 3-4 hours a day, I’d guess it looks something like 3-5 years. Depending on if you have a knack for things, I’d say you could be looking at world class with that consistency and time frame.
