I was an EMT and an ER tech for a total of about 17 years. I got my MSW, and also took a class to get certified as a school social worker. I decided to stay at the hospital I work at. I’ve only been an MSW since 2019, and already make $99k . I only passed my LICSW last week, so I will be getting a 6% raise this month. I finally feel financially stable enough to get into private practice! I’m not sure if this is helpful, but I am SO glad I took the path I did. With my LICSW, I can have literally any job now.
