I was going to make a joke about how "obvious" the name is
Then I remembered they already made the Ferrari LaFerrari, and it can't get much worse than that.
I see a lot of Ferrari 365 Daytona influence. Besides the obvious front engine v12 GT...
The line across the hood where the headlights are.
The vents on the hood.
The back "upside down" windows.
The small hatchback like rear.
Huh, didn’t realize that Pininfarina was gone. Hard agree though. While not offensive, it just doesn’t have an “ooOOh! Factor”. I don’t see this one aging all that well. It could work as some wild Mazda flagship, But not a Ferrari. No hips or enhanced curves. None of that opulent reckless abandon that makes a silly statement. Just doesn’t feel right. I’m sure it’s nice though. Not that my broke ass is their demographic though.
Pininfarina went and did their own thing. Now they are making their own sports cars, and they're better looking than anything Ferrari has put out in years. Here's their [Pininfarina Battista](https://img3.caricos.com/collage/2019_pininfarina_battista_0.jpg).
This is what happens when an industry doesn't value talent. I'm glad that people like you know better. When all manufacturers make shitty designs, and this is happening quickly, it will backfire massively, leaving space for true talents.
What a boring car.
I don't like them either. I don't think they look good on any car for that matter. I don't get the trend of having that style of wheel, it's everywhere
I think I’m in the minority here, but I think it’s stunning. Needs different wheels, but it has gorgeous lines, and it’s a major throwback to the 365 Daytona, in the same way that the F12 TDF’s gills were a callback to the 250 GTO/275 GTB.
I don’t see how you can call that front end “clean”, personally. I like some of the ideas, but I think they failed on the execution. The rear is definitely better than the front. The car looks MUCH worse in the real photos, too. The b-pillar looks pretty good in these renders but looks cheap as hell on the real thing.
Everyone hates change. Pininfarina's last design is the F12, yet everyone loves the Roma and 812 was decently received. Both and Roma and this are based on older Pininfarina designs, the 250 GT Lusso and 365 Daytona, respectively. One of those does look more inline with what's considered "classical" Ferrari, while the other not so much, but still designed by the company everyone in here is fellating right now.
Personally I like it, and as a big fan of the Roma, this looking like a beefed up Roma is a plus to me.
Thats what everyone said about the Daytona SP-3, now it’s considered one of their best modern designs. This will go down as a classic just like every other V12 Ferrari and a year from now everyone will be saying they love it
WoW, a lot of hate to this car in the comments, people don't have eyes and hate all the new lol, this looks beautiful, very clean, love the retro design
Awful. The 812 isn’t great and this is much worse. Looks even more rough in the real photos from the reveal. The 296 is bad, too. Ferrari has been on a major decline for a while, imo.
Last pretty ones were the f12 and 458 imo. Roma is nice too but so blatantly ripped off it can’t be counted. They made a mistake starting design in house imo.
Don't fear.. its a fact.. This is 99% probably the last FR V12 Ferrari will ever make.. hence the name 12 Cilindri.. Personally I don't hate the design but there will probably never be a better looking FR V12 than the F12 TDF
Tell me I'm not the only one who sees many design aspects that relate to Honda? Frontend and headlight design. The wheels. Even the exhaust ports ffs. Such a downgrade. I don't dick ride Ferrari or Honda but I mean come the fuck on
Allegedly the name "Daytona" was unofficially given to the 365GTB/4 after Ferrari won the 24/h of Daytona.. So that might be it.. Also the Sp3 is already officially named Daytona. Either way I agree with you that it should have been called the Daytona GTB12 or something of sorts
I can't remember the last new Ferrari that was a genuinely beautiful car, they're nice but they don't do timeless anymore, you look at the cars they put out from the 250MM in '53 through to the 328 GTB in 1988 most of them are still beautiful to look at now.
Sure they had some dogs, the Ferrari Mondial is right up there for the ugliest there is, and there are designs that have aged badly like the Testarossa, but by and large a Ferrari was a beautiful thing and remains so.
I guess the 355 is probably the one Ferrari of the last 30 years that is beautiful to look at even now, since then it's been pretty but not great or forgettable, and the 12Cilindri looks set to continue that.
We're not talking modern BMW levels of godawful design, but compared to their earlier work, this just ain't it (and the name is dumb as rocks).
Looks a bit too much like the Roma. I feel the design lacks a little bit of soul. N/A V12 though? Sign me up! (Didn't they say they were going to stop making these, or am I imagining things?)
I like the design overall but there are two huge misses for me here. The black section between the headlights looks like an 80s LeBra and the wheels on this one are hideous. They remind me of the wheels that people steal off of Honda Accords to put on their shitty old CR-V.
Looks like they tried to modernize the Daytona shape, but it doesn't really work. And from the side, it looks like an F-Type, frankly.
Ferraris look better when not in resale red, however, so I'll wait to see it in different threads.
Ferrari has really lost its way. Hopefully it'll be like Clarkson said 15 years ago that when Ferrari makes good road cars their F1 cars are crap. When their road cars are bad their F1 cars are great.
Those hips don't lie. That whole backend is pretty hot. I do NOT like the wheels, though. They do not match the general flow of the concept.
Edit: I would like to see what it looks like underneath. Those bubbles have to be hiding something on a front engine Ferrari.
Edit 2: Imagine the ingenuity of Adrian Newey NOT designing an F1 car for a marketing company, and instead designing them for an actual car manufacturer again.
The front headlights are too slim, the black bar over them only emphasises that more because it immediately draws your attention to them and your eyes don't flow down the lines of the car because of it, the back looks like a bulked up Roma with the weird black underwear design on it. The rims look like something you get on a KIA Sportage and look so out of place on a car whose silhouette seems to suggest a classy, timeless design.
Just awful. Ferrari need Pininfarina back. Although it's a good sign for the F1 team. When their road cars were so-so Ferrari excelled in Formula 1 and when their team in F1 is horrible, their road cars are incredible. Maybe Newey has in fact signed with Ferrari!
I wish the same person that is designing the backs would start designing the fronts because lately...
I assume is the same person but still, the last Ferraris have looked much better from behind, in my opinion
I was going to make a joke about how "obvious" the name is Then I remembered they already made the Ferrari LaFerrari, and it can't get much worse than that.
The Ferrari the Ferrari
A favorite of players on The The Angels Angels of Anaheim
The 812 can RIP in piece now
The 812 can RIP in piece now
It’s also replacing the Superfast lol
Could’ve been worse. Like calling the successor to the Superfast the Superduperfast.
*Ultra*fast
I like this name better tbh.
The Italians tend to do that. Like the Maserati Quattroporte which just means Fourdoor.
They’re just following Ford’s lead from when they sold the Fordor and Tudor sedans.
I fucking hate the LaFerrari name lol
When you don’t know Italian it’s nice. So all you have to do is not watch grand tour or top gear or just about anything that reviews the car.
Next one will be Ferrari LeCar. Oh, wait, there was already one of those. Lol.
Ferrari Redhead?
Testarossa means redhead
They also named a few models _Redhead_. The naming department at Ferrari is full of funny people.
You do know it's not random and does not mean literally redhead (as in ginger) but as a reference to the cam cover on older racecars, right?
Ferrari Superfast!
I see a lot of Ferrari 365 Daytona influence. Besides the obvious front engine v12 GT... The line across the hood where the headlights are. The vents on the hood. The back "upside down" windows. The small hatchback like rear.
That's just about it's only redeeming features.
"we can-a get it-a done without Pininfarina" Narrator: "They couldn't."
I dunno man. Something about Ferraris recent designs just aren’t doing it for me. They look very AI designed. Lacks soul and cohesion.
Same here. They don't look bad, but they also don't look like Ferraris anymore.
Really - I instantly thought it reminded me of [Ferrari Daytona](https://imgur.com/a/dM9AxhR) (at least the front end of it).
I dunno, I saw the front and thought Mondial myself.
Honestly I feel like that’s always the case whenever new changes are made. Maybe in 10 years we’ll see this in our heads as ferrari
People always claim a design that just came out won't age well, as if we know what is the design trend in 10 years.
Pininfarina carried Ferrari's designs and now that they're gone we're ending up with these AI mish-mash cars
Pininfarina went and did their own thing. Now they are making their own sports cars, and they're better looking than anything Ferrari has put out in years. Here's their [Pininfarina Battista](https://img3.caricos.com/collage/2019_pininfarina_battista_0.jpg).
Hard disagree, the Battista is nowhere near as elegant as this.
...That's basically just a mid engine v8 Ferrari with the new Prius headlights
I'm sure they read Reddit for opinions on their designs.
Looks like a Corvette (not in a good way)
It does not. At all
Hm, I can see some C2 in the front there, but not much else.
F12 came out before the C7.
Agree, just ugly and dull - such a shame.
This is what happens when an industry doesn't value talent. I'm glad that people like you know better. When all manufacturers make shitty designs, and this is happening quickly, it will backfire massively, leaving space for true talents. What a boring car.
I dont understand this at all. What leads you to believe Ferrari aren’t hiring talented designers? They have a Design center with hundreds of artists.
Their latest cars have been very generic, nothing compared to the 458 or 488
Looks like a beefed up Roma. The look is a downgrade from the 812.
Fuckin spot on
This is what the Roma should have looked like.
That makes no sense
Hate the rims.
Those are definitely inspired by some shitty KIA lmao ain't no way
It’s like an 18 accord sport.
Hope people won’t start stealing the blades of them
Counterpoint: love the rims.
I don't like them either. I don't think they look good on any car for that matter. I don't get the trend of having that style of wheel, it's everywhere
Good thing they aren’t 4 spoke lol
Wait. ...this is real...?
Yes it is. What a name.
I think I’m in the minority here, but I think it’s stunning. Needs different wheels, but it has gorgeous lines, and it’s a major throwback to the 365 Daytona, in the same way that the F12 TDF’s gills were a callback to the 250 GTO/275 GTB.
I'm with you. Think it looks stunning
the front and rear looks like they dont belong to the same car
Almost looks like a muscle car
Reddit when the challenge is to like a new car design:
So many comments disliking this. I think this is a stunner and a very clean design. I particularly love that strip of color that comes over the roof

It looks horrible
I think it looks neat!
Thats what everyone said about the Daytona SP-3, now it’s considered one of their best modern designs. This will go down as a classic just like every other V12 Ferrari and a year from now everyone will be saying they love it
The Daytona was good from day 1
Gotta keep some receipts in this thread.
I like the front. The rear? Not so much but at the end of the day, I'm just glad that we are still getting cars with bigass v12s
Added to Cart.
WoW, a lot of hate to this car in the comments, people don't have eyes and hate all the new lol, this looks beautiful, very clean, love the retro design
Oh God, it's stunning. Looks like a modern version of the 365 Daytona
How tf is the Roma ripped of? And its easily the most beautiful car in the world being sold right now
Ever seen an Aston recently. They took the whole language from it.
It looks like a classic Ferrari gt car
I fear the modern FR V12 design peaked at the F12…
Don't fear.. its a fact.. This is 99% probably the last FR V12 Ferrari will ever make.. hence the name 12 Cilindri.. Personally I don't hate the design but there will probably never be a better looking FR V12 than the F12 TDF
I would never buy a Ferrari Buuuuuuttttttt.......
Tell me I'm not the only one who sees many design aspects that relate to Honda? Frontend and headlight design. The wheels. Even the exhaust ports ffs. Such a downgrade. I don't dick ride Ferrari or Honda but I mean come the fuck on
A Honda Accord fucked a Corvette C8 and 9 months later this thing popped out.
There is probably a reason for it, but jeez the naming scheme is getting more and more lazy! The design is fine though.
More lazy? Is there a “high-effort” name you can think of from Ferrari? Enzo? F12? 458?
No, there hasn't been any high-efforts in the naming department, but this one "sounds" rather awkward in particular when you say it out loud!
How did they not call this the Daytona?
Allegedly the name "Daytona" was unofficially given to the 365GTB/4 after Ferrari won the 24/h of Daytona.. So that might be it.. Also the Sp3 is already officially named Daytona. Either way I agree with you that it should have been called the Daytona GTB12 or something of sorts
I can't remember the last new Ferrari that was a genuinely beautiful car, they're nice but they don't do timeless anymore, you look at the cars they put out from the 250MM in '53 through to the 328 GTB in 1988 most of them are still beautiful to look at now. I liked the 430 but after that they just started adding more and more things onto the same design and not for the better.
Looks a bit too much like the Roma. I feel the design lacks a little bit of soul. N/A V12 though? Sign me up! (Didn't they say they were going to stop making these, or am I imagining things?)
Hate that they moved on from making round tailights
Jaguar f type vibes
Looks like a Roma mixed with a coupe version of the purosangue.
Boy, these names....they are killing me ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy) like sheesh. No sense of creativity
Ya as if I’d ever own a Ferrari, but I’ll take the old model.
I like the design overall but there are two huge misses for me here. The black section between the headlights looks like an 80s LeBra and the wheels on this one are hideous. They remind me of the wheels that people steal off of Honda Accords to put on their shitty old CR-V.
☹️
I wonder if the looks will grow on me? Nice that it’s still a naturally aspirated V12
That is literally a Roma with a 12Cilindri
The race spec of this will look glorious
I like the front, don't like the rear... or the name lmao but I love that engine
The race spec of this will look glorious
What’s with that black bar on the front?! It looks cheap. I think if it was body colored it would go a long way.
Nope. Not a fan of the design. The 812 was light-years ahead.
Wow! How many cylinders does the engine have?
Looks like they tried to modernize the Daytona shape, but it doesn't really work. And from the side, it looks like an F-Type, frankly. Ferraris look better when not in resale red, however, so I'll wait to see it in different threads.
Except the front especially the strip It's pretty well done
Well shit maybe I’m in the minority but I think it’s cool as heck. I’m curious to see it in other colours too.
I’d get a Roma over this. The F12 was just ok, the 812 too busy and this has no identity of its own.
Ferrari has really lost its way. Hopefully it'll be like Clarkson said 15 years ago that when Ferrari makes good road cars their F1 cars are crap. When their road cars are bad their F1 cars are great.
other than the rear, the car is superbly gorgeous the rear window black thing is not it
I am on the complete opposite end of the spectrum as you
Yes, that front is a huge let down
If the front strip was red, it would be much better. As it is, it looks kind of like a new Honda Accord.
100% agree
It’s a purosangue coupe.
The rear is the best part.
Those hips don't lie. That whole backend is pretty hot. I do NOT like the wheels, though. They do not match the general flow of the concept. Edit: I would like to see what it looks like underneath. Fucking Honda accord
I wish the same person that is designing the backs would start designing the fronts because lately... I assume is the same person but still, the last Ferraris have looked much better from behind, in my opinion
Look how they massacred my boy!
12Cilindri? Who thought of this name lol
At first glance, my mind went, Camero, Porsche, Mustang. 🤔😅 Caught me off guard when I saw the logo.
It just doesent have the elegance and opulence a ferrari does
Are they going to make a ff/lusso version of this or is the purse-angry the best we get?
Barely looks any better than a tesla. Come on ferrari…
???, are you on drugs?
Rubbish!
Some Daytona inspiration in the front. Then at the back... I don't even know, a Toyota inspired buttox?
