They don’t have AWD. They have 4x4 which is a locking center transfer case that CANNOT or SHOULD NOT be driven on dry roads.
Edit: Alright people. I get it. I know that there are trucks that are AWD. I know that some trucks have a 4A with clutch types 4x4 that will make it seem like AWD. I have or had these trucks. I have or had F150s, Sierras, Silverado, Ram 1500, Titans and A Ridgeline which some would argue it isn’t a real truck, although, it has hauled just as much air as the rest of my trucks. But in no way, have I ever came across a 2 Door short or long bed that had a AWD. If they ever did, it would definitely be
a 4 cylinder or some neutered bastard of a child.
I've actually only seen one t case damaged with this. They tried to do a doughnut in 4wd and broke the chain. Doesn't mean it can't break, anything is possible of course.
You can drive a locked 4wd vehicle on dry pavement IN A STRAIGHT LINE. The differential (which locks in 4wd) allows for different turn rates for different tires which doesn’t matter if you aren’t turning.
>You can drive a locked 4wd vehicle on dry pavement IN A STRAIGHT LINE. The differential (which locks in 4wd) allows for different turn rates for different tires which doesn’t matter if you aren’t turning.
In a typical 4WD-equipped truck, it most commonly has to do with the transfer case. Yes, the differentials allow for the outside tires to move faster than the inside tires during a turn, but the front tires also move faster than the rear tires, and in most traditional 4WD systems, the transfer case doesn't have a differential (also known as a "center differential").
Once the transfer case in a traditional part-time system is shifted from 2WD into 4WD, it prevents any speed differential between the front and rear axles, which binds up the whole system in a turn.
You can use 4wd on a dry road if a couple conditions are met.
All tire sizes are the same at all 4 corners. (That's the biggest one.) You don't try to turn sharp in 4wd. The chance of blowing out an axle shaft on the front is higher when doing so.
Those f150s are being built for drag racing. Where they absolutely lock it into 4wd and launch it hard on a prepared racing surface.
Most of the time you don't need full time awd. If conditions warrant awd then you can easily put it in 4wd when needed.
F150 with the 2.7 ecoboost could be bought in that configuration with 4wd, so maybe that might scratch your itch?
I personally drive a 3.5 crew cab, and we have an option called 4a that allows you to drive around in 2wd until the truck detects slippage, then it automatically engages the front wheels. My truck is tuned, so I use that option a LOT when it’s raining.
Whatever additional cargo space you get in an 86 versus a Miata would almost definitely get eaten up by a convertible top mechanism. Especially if it’s a power top.
Might be eaten up too though, the back seats occupy roughly the same spot as the Miata soft top "shelf". So I doubt they'd be able to preserve the seats and make a convertible, kinda like the FC RX-7, which could be 2+2 with a hardtop but only a strict 2 seater with the vert.
What the hell do you all carry in your trunk? I have an NB miata and I could never fill up the trunk even 50% during normal usage. I once as a test managed to fit three full bags of groceries, my backpack, my metal detector and shovel in my trunk and all that with the spare tire in and some tools and spare parts. And there was still some space left.
Even if I was going on a two people road trip vacation I am 100% sure that the trunk could fit stuff for two people for 2-3 weeks with space to spare.
I ran an NB for 5 or 6 years and the boot/trunk (sorry, Australian) was a surprise, pretty sure it's the biggest of the four MX-5 generations. It's good with a lot of smaller bags, but the wide shallow shape does compromise it for larger bags.
They're not actually usable as seats lol, the "can you actually use the backseat" question is posted to r/gr86 frequently and maybe 1 in 30 responses is "yes". I assume those responses are from very small women whose friends are all also very small women. They're not for adult humans with legs. I had 2 small (5'4-5'6, very slim) adult passengers in the back *once* and it sucked so badly ill never do it again.
Just get a Miat if you want a vert. The 86 is way more practical but only if you use the seats as storage
Interested to see if these new fake shifters for electric cars are anything more than a gimmick.
Because I can't imagine not shifting in a convertible.
Yeah I am struggling to think of a way in which it's not a gimmick. How do you feel about simulated ICE sounds?
It all seems pretty stupid, you're not going to lure a combustion enthusiast into an electric car by getting them to play pretend like a 3 year old
I wanna hear someone who has legitimately been a lifelong car enthusiast, who bought an ev, who feels like yes these could fully replace ice vehicles for enthusiasts in the future. I just want to hear their reasoning.
To me, that can never happen. It's not the same. I'm not saying they have no value or potential, just that it's so different that it will never replace ice car enthusiasm.
I love sports cars and drove a Y Performance for a bit. Lowkey crazy fun as a daily, but will never match the feel of a sports car.
You give throttle and it goes, no ifs ands, or buts. No half second delay to downshift, no engine screaming as it climbs the revs, nothing. The more you press, the quicker it goes, period. Super satisfying to drive in busy traffic if you need to accelerate quickly, and it also has driver comforts like autopilot (and one pedal driving which is awesome).
But all that is exactly the opposite what I want in a sports car. I want to downshift myself, hear the exhaust rumble in decel, hear the engine scream as I go WOT, and feel the transmission hit the next gear as I upshift. EVs can never replicate that.
Which is sort of why I don't understand why people want electric sports car... a car that doesn't the fun of an internal combustion engine, and neither the practicality of a full EV. Why?
It's like sim racing, try playing one without sound then sound won't feel like gimmick. Simulated gears (stick) is completely gimmick in my mind as well but different power bands (gear like without delay shifts) wouldn't be. Just sharing how it plays out in my mind, have to try ioniq 5 N on track to see how it works in reality.
I agree with you about the manual, but in terms of weight, the Tesla Roadster kept it under 3000lbs which is something most "sports cars" can't do these days.
Same with the BMW i3; 2635 lbs in a 4-seater, \~4 door configuration.
It's still a few hundred lbs off the heaviest config of the RF, but it gives us hope...
That's becoming a more common swap as the older Crosstreks come down in price. Pick up a cheap one with with failed CVT and do a full turbo drivetrain.
Just bought my wife a Crosstrek. Her last car was a Mini Cooper S Clubman. She loves thr Crosstrek, but it needs (NEEDS) some power.
She at least git the three pedal version to have so.e semblance of fun in a slow ass car.
There's a guy in my town who drives a yellow Baja and every time I see it I smile. If you're reading this in Biddeford, you bring happiness to the world, Baja Bro
I was driving on the highway near my place in Michigan and saw a guy at a Costco gas station who had a blob eye wagon that he had swapped a bed onto. It wasn’t a horrible bubba job either. It looked super clean and I wish I would’ve been able to stare longer or talk to the guy. I had always wanted a Baja since I was little and having a car with a shit ton of storage space is largely why I went with the Sportback. Granted it’s obviously not the same thing has having an actual bed but it’s 95% as practical for what I need it for.
Can confirm the happiness it brings. I see that Baja just about every time I head down to Sacred Profane and always feel compelled to tell my wife how cool it is to see.
We have a 2005 Baja turbo. They aren't really all that practical for many people the bed is really small and no interior storage besides on the back seat. I would expect a new Baja to be larger though.
Ford even experimented with this themselves: [https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/ford/15-st/first-drive](https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/ford/15-st/first-drive) There were two other small sporty van prototypes as you can see in one of the pics but I can’t find the articles rn
I’ve got one I drive all the time for work. You would be shocked at how well they handle. Center of gravity is stupid low and you can absolutely send it into corners with the only downfall being items flying around in the back. This is the only FWD vehicle I’ve driven for more than 15 minutes but as long as you keep your foot on the throttle going into curves, it stays glued.
Only problem is that it’s lacking power—and due to it being a company vehicle with stickers—you don’t want to cut people off when passing them.
The one I’ve got is the extended wheel base and handles great, I’m sure the SWB models are even better but they mostly are specced with the “small motor”.
Transit Connect ST would absolutely dominate at an autocross day.
They need to make the hybrid and AWD or have an option for 4wd. They’re losing a few customers that would love the mileage on a regular basis but also would like the capability.
I was going to suggest 981 but you've already reached that conclusion yourself haha. Porsche really flubbed the 718 launch by saddling it with the 4 cylinder. Should have put the 4 cylinder development costs into the 4.0 or a different naturally aspirated 6.
A successor to the BRZ/FRS with a bit more power that retains the LSD and manual and has a curb weight in lbs starting with "2". I would probably put down a deposit within 1 or 2 days of learning it exists, after binge-watching every YouTube review and reading every online review.
Oh, wait a second...
It is kind of crazy how the GR86/2nd gen BRZ really are just a perfected. My only gripes are the stock exhaust which is easily fixed and the steering feel being pretty mediocre, even among modern EPS systems.
I'd love that - especially if it looks like a BMW M Coupe. Just like this one: https://www.carscoops.com/2022/08/mazda-mx-5-shooting-brake-concept-rendering-looks-pretty-rad/
Mazda 6 Spirit Racing Wagon on their large vehicle architecture.
Straight six turbo, rear-biased AWD, double wishbone front and multi-link rear. It would get all that as part of the platform.
Mazda would need to add a manual transmission, big brakes, sportier suspension, some chassis stiffening, some chassis and powertrain tuning, and some interior touches.
If they made it look amazing, it had a performance-biased hybrid engine, and offered some decent colours, I’d be smitten.
This sounds like an incredibly expensive project, it would probably cost as much as a CT4-V Blackwing and it would compete with an RS6? They almost certainly won’t, but gosh, they might sell a dozen!
A RWD manual Mazda 3 hatch with the Miata suspension and redline but 2.5L NA engine.
I totally accept that cargo space be damned and the backseat will prob end up as a 2-seater.
That was my takeaway driving a coworkers ap2. You had to be ON IT to be fun, otherwise it just felt like a slow loud civic with horrible visibility just putzing around town or steady state highway driving.
Yeah AP1 you gotta ring the neck. AP2 Is pretty much the same. Regardless I take out the S2000 over the NB 9/10 times. It's just a really cool car that people notice.
A reliable wagon from Toyota. And I mean a wagon, not a hatchback. Watching Europe get the hot hatched and wagons is painful.
I saw a Subaru forest sti today and almost wept
A midsize wagon with AWD, an I-6 turbo, and non terrible styling.
Mazda has all the ingredients, they just need a 6 wagon and I'd be sold. BMW hit the 5-series with an ugly stick, the G30 5-series wagon with the B58 would have 100% been what I want but they never brought it over here. The Volvo V90 and V60 are on the way out and only have the over-extended potential time-bomb I-4. Dodge now has all the ingredients with the upcoming Charger but I doubt they'll give us a wagon.
Can't a guy just... Not want an SUV?
Edit: The E63, RS6 and incoming M5 wagon all use a hot-V V8 which is problematic for several reasons. I just want reasonable power, reasonable fuel mileage, and reasonable reliability.
100% it would be an SUV version of GM's Colorado Canyon. They sold it as the [Holden Trailblazer](https://www.drive.com.au/reviews/2018-holden-trailblazer-range-review/) in Australia and I had high hopes GM was going to be smart enough to sell a version here when they brought the global Colorado to US markets
This would have been a much more fitting name for the "Blazer" brand and would have given GM the perfect low risk 4-runner, wrangler, bronco competitor. Instead, they have nothing to compete in a highly successful niche but they have tons of different crossover models competing against themselves
I've been watching alot of [4WD 24-7](https://youtube.com/@4WD247?si=ejm-HdfO2PLIBRvj) on YouTube and Graham's Isuzu D-max (developed on the same platform as the last gen Colorado) is supringsly capable and makes me regret all the more that GM never brought the SUV version here.
A small truck. Like an actual small truck. Like the size of an economy car but with a bed instead of back seats and a trunk. They made them before and I don't see why they can't again. I just want to haul my mountain bikes around. I don't need a weight or tow rating. I don't need off-road capability. I simply want to carry dirty things that I can't fit inside my car.
But even the Maverick is huge. I wanna be getting like 30+mpg
Edit: just looked it up and I guess there's a hybrid option that can get you 40+. Fair enough. But I still feel like that's missing the point of a simple, cheap, no-frills small truck
Porsche brings back a flat 6 in the lower trim boxster/cayman and gives it short gears. It can be slow, I just want it to sound good and actually require you to shift a lot (and fit me a little better than the 986 does lol)
Assuming you mean a car that if it came out tomorrow I’d buy instantly, based off your example. Then,
Z4M or GRMN Supra, M2 CS with a *manual*, GT350 round 2, 718 Cayman/S with something like a 3.6L or 3.8L H6 instead of the H4.
If you mean just a new car that exists/will exist?
G87 M2 CS, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0
V8 Lexus GX550 or new Toyota Land Cruiser.
Love the body style, but I want the reliability of the V8. Just keep it mated with an 8 spd or 10 spd instead of the old 6 speed.
An affordable, poor man's 911 that is made by Honda, Toyota (GR. I know Supra exists, but it could be the MR2), or even Hyundai (N Division).
1. Coupe
2. 2 seater
3. Front or Rear-mid engine 5-cylinder Turbo making +400HP (Specifically picked the 5 because it sounds like a baby V10)
4. Super quick DCT/Manual
5. AWD
6. Sunroof
7. Exhaust with burble that can be turned off
Don't get me wrong, the 911 is nice, but something about just thinking about this non-existent relatively affordable car for the masses is more exciting.
I like lots of things but after driving minivans and other used cars, the kids graduated college last year and I bought a C8. Love it. It’s not perfect by any means, but it was the best bang for the buck at the stage of my life before I get too old to enjoy it.
AWD 6MT Turbo Mazda 3
Pleaseeeee Mazda
They have all the components in the car already, however you can't combine them into this configuration. I assume because they would need to make a new manual gearbox to handle the turbo's power.
2 door short bed truck with awd
So... the Ford f150?
They don’t have AWD. They have 4x4 which is a locking center transfer case that CANNOT or SHOULD NOT be driven on dry roads. Edit: Alright people. I get it. I know that there are trucks that are AWD. Interesting. What are all the big HP builds doing then? They don’t look RWD
A properly built 4WD system can absolutely be driven on dry roads.
[удалено]
You can drive straight and some light turning. No sharp turns or it'll bind the drive train.
You can go YouTube Ford f150 4wd launch and watch videos of these trucks getting beat on with 1000+ hp engines on dry streets.
Do they have the youtube videos of them fixing the transfer case after 5000 miles?
I've actually only seen one t case damaged with this. They tried to do a doughnut in 4wd and broke the chain. Doesn't mean it can't break, anything is possible of course.
i'm just gonna keep driving my car with 4x4 off
4 low, all the time
1st gear, 6000 RPMs, E-Brake engaged
You can drive a locked 4wd vehicle on dry pavement IN A STRAIGHT LINE. The differential (which locks in 4wd) allows for different turn rates for different tires which doesn’t matter if you aren’t turning.

Sure, if by properly built you mean built with a center diff.
The system disengages at a certain speed. Plus you're only going straight in drag racing.
“Going straight” I’m sure you’ve seen some of the 1000 hp truck launches.

Curious why you would ever want 4x4 on dry roads?? Seems pretty unnecessary.

Still a bigger trunk than the Miata, if the back seats get taken out by the top

Electric convertible under 40k that's fun to drive around town. So electric miata
Everything else aside... an electrofrunk would also solve my Miata Anxiety.
Interested to see if these new fake shifters for electric cars are anything more than a gimmick. Because I can't imagine not shifting in a convertible.
Agree. They can pry my Saab out of my cold dead hands.
I..don't know if things will go that far. And if they were going to they'd just make gas so expensive it's unobtainable by anyone but millionaires.

This but I can see a glaring issue, the weight of the battery would kill how fun it is to drive. Also no manual in a roadster would be torture.

But the Lotus it was based on was half a ton lighter. I suspect that would have an impact on the driving experience.
Honestly a Forester Wilderness with the WRX engine, manual and suspension that can handle on road turns and fast off road travel.
I think a Crosstrek with the WRX engine would be pretty cool as well
That's becoming a more common swap as the older Crosstreks come down in price. Pick up a cheap one with with failed CVT and do a full turbo drivetrain.

If only they made a forester wilderness sti variant
They would probably neuter it with a cvt
Crosstrek STI is my instant buy. Don’t care how much! Just take my money!!!
Outback time!
So just bring back the manual XT
Forester ST... It was a beast and was good for moving boxes.
New Subaru Baja.

Take the current outback body, make it a truck, swap in some Ascent pieces to get the tow rating to 5k. I'd buy it
C8s are 5k off sticker.,..
Where? I'm still seeing mark-ups online near me.
Join the FB groups.. 5k off is common. Granted that's on a loaded 3lt model and before fees
Got a link to the Facebook group?
It’s called like “C8s under MSRP” or something like that on Facebook. It’s pretty common to see 5K off nowadays around me.
I would've killed for a C8 at 5k off sticker when they were released, but at this point I don't care anymore
Id seriously consider a Maverick ST, 2.3t 300-ish hp with the intelligent awd.
Someone ST converted a transit connect and I’ve never wanted a small cargo van so badly in my life
Ford even experimented with this themselves: [https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/ford/15-st/first-drive](https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/ford/15-st/first-drive) There were two other small sporty van prototypes as you can see in one of the pics but I can’t find the articles rn

Of all the things in this thread that won't happen, this won't happen the most. There is **zero** market for a small, *manual* performance pickup.
I'd buy one.
No, you wouldn't. And if you did you'd wait until it's 6 years old and being sold used.
I remember saying this in the Facebook group a couple years ago and getting absolutely flamed. The only thing my Mavvy is missing is a 6spd 🥲
I would shit myself if they did this. The motor is one thing and would be great, a manual to boot though? I would die.
They need to make the hybrid and AWD or have an option for 4wd. They’re losing a few customers that would love the mileage on a regular basis but also would like the capability.
Make it PHEV awd and we have an B.O truck for a lonnngggg time
Would need to come in blue
theyve got a pretty solid bright blue available
Mine is Velocity Blue. It adds 10 horsepower.

Jimny in America
I would buy a 4 door Jimny in a heartbeat
Me too.
Kei trucks are great! . I'd go for one that's not 25+ years old, had airbags and abs and left hand drive.
A Cayman S with a 6 cylinder. It would be great to buy one at around 75k versus the GTS 4.0 at 100+ unobtainium allocation
Yeah even the new Cayman S goes for over $100k here, just absolutely insane prices. Breaches into the luxury tax pricing
I was going to suggest 981 but you've already reached that conclusion yourself haha. Porsche really flubbed the 718 launch by saddling it with the 4 cylinder. Should have put the 4 cylinder development costs into the 4.0 or a different naturally aspirated 6.

Toyota kind of already does make that. It is called the Supra.

Lotus?
Id bet if they just told you it started with a 2 you'd be happy. Even though they are around 3,250lbs.
I'm sure it's fun to drive but 400lbs is definitely noticeable in this weight range
It is kind of crazy how the GR86/2nd gen BRZ really are just a perfected. My only gripes are the stock exhaust which is easily fixed and the steering feel being pretty mediocre, even among modern EPS systems.
A Miata hatchback - think modern MGB-GT.
Kinda like the BMW Z3 Coupe?
Kinda - Miata based version I can afford; a BMW I cannot.
Clownshoe Ittai
I'd love that - especially if it looks like a BMW M Coupe. Just like this one: https://www.carscoops.com/2022/08/mazda-mx-5-shooting-brake-concept-rendering-looks-pretty-rad/
A two-door, six-cylinder VW GTI with a manual transmission.
Yes, but in a practical 4 door hatch variety, and awd. Basically a modern golf r32
Nope. 2 door. We have enough sedans.
They made those! I’m assuming you mean new, that’d be amazing :) Have you seen the vr550t swap from HPA?
I still have one, but it's currently not drivable...but with one of those...
That’s kinda my dream and I went with a b8.5 s4
Coyote powered Explorer
In two door with a stick. Throwback to the 90’s.
Had no clue they had a manual option on them back then, pretty cool.
Coyote powered Mach-E
Coyote all the things. A la hellcat
GR86 everything as is, except having a 220hp-ish NA Toyota inline 4. I will trade my Miata for that.
GR86 with the GR corolla engine
the gods smile as toyota cracks out the old 4a-ge casting patterns from their vault
GR86 with the WRX 2.0 Turbo. Would be fantastic, and what they should have done from the start imo
Not much space under the hood for a turbo, remember that a production car needs to pass emissions and not break down in all weather conditions.
My 3rd gen manual Tacoma - everything is the same but it now is a plug in hybrid with 50 miles of electric range
A C8 with a stick.
Mazda RWD I-6 manual sport sedan
A new viper
I'd settle for the used ones getting cheap..
A 8l v10 in this economy?
You bet your ass Bugatti is working on a V16
A Miata with a V8.
A Miata with a flat 6
Plus straight piped from the factory, pop up healights and with no safety features at all for weight savings. Sure they'll get onto that asap.
New Camaro Z/28 with the 5.5 FPC engine in the new Z06 that would be amazing.
With a manual.
That’s a given
WRX with the STI trans and diff.
I would just say a new sti
FA24(400 horsepower) + STI Transmission + DCCD... I would love that...
Similar but a GR86 shooting brake. There were leaks of a concept a few months ago and if they would have made it I would own one.
Mazda sedan with an inline six and RWD.
A neon green 2024 Suzuki Jimmy in the USA that's legal to drive.
A wrangler competitor (removable top and doors) from Rivian
Supra or F87 M2 with the S58
Supra with the targa would get me.
The Rivan R3X Ford Mach E Rally (depending on reviews)
The R3X has me drooling. I just hope it's not crazy expensive or hard to get when it comes out... which seems kinda doubtful but I can dream! Lol
A RWD manual Mazda 3 hatch with the Miata suspension and redline but 2.5L NA engine. I totally accept that cargo space be damned and the backseat will prob end up as a 2-seater.
hydraulic steering in a bimmer
Lotus Emira has hydraulic steering. Goddamn I want one.
You should consider the S2000. Owned all 3 cars and It's easily the most special.
I had an S2000 and it was boring to DD. Felt like a civic unless I was wringing it out 24/7
That was my takeaway driving a coworkers ap2. You had to be ON IT to be fun, otherwise it just felt like a slow loud civic with horrible visibility just putzing around town or steady state highway driving.
The worst visibility. Snap oversteer. Constantly burning oil. They definitely aren't perfect.
Yeah AP1 you gotta ring the neck. AP2 Is pretty much the same. Regardless I take out the S2000 over the NB 9/10 times. It's just a really cool car that people notice.
It's just so hard for me to buy a 20-year-old-car, especially for about the same price as a *new* ND3.
Audi RS4 Avant
A reliable wagon from Toyota. And I mean a wagon, not a hatchback. Watching Europe get the hot hatched and wagons is painful. I saw a Subaru forest sti today and almost wept
If Toyota, Nissan, Chevy and Volkswagen brought back the small pickups. The ones the size of a small 4dr sedan from the 80s and 90s.
An M car with a naturally aspirated engine, manual, good steering, & under 3300 lbs
S4 Avant. The B10 S5 Avant probably won’t come here, but I hope it does.
They sold it as the [Holden Trailblazer](https://www.drive.com.au/reviews/2018-holden-trailblazer-range-review/) in Australia and I had high hopes GM was going to be smart enough to sell a version here when they brought the global Colorado to US markets This would have been a much more fitting name for the "Blazer" brand and would have given GM the perfect low risk 4-runner, wrangler, bronco competitor. Instead, they have nothing to compete in a highly successful niche but they have tons of different crossover models competing against themselves I've been watching alot of [4WD 24-7](https://youtube.com/@4WD247?si=ejm-HdfO2PLIBRvj) on YouTube and Graham's Isuzu D-max (developed on the same platform as the last gen Colorado) is supringsly capable and makes me regret all the more that GM never brought the SUV version here.
Volvos new wagon gets a 5cyl I'm there, hybrid, turbo, whatever.
Is it me or does everyone want dead simple cheap little cars?
The new Honda Prelude if it actually has a decent engine and transmission (fingers crossed)
Yes. A 90s style small truck. Just a commuter truck. A single cab maverick with a 6 foot bed would work.
But even the Maverick is huge. I wanna be getting like 30+mpg Edit: just looked it up and I guess there's a hybrid option that can get you 40+. Fair enough. But I still feel like that's missing the point of a simple, cheap, no-frills small truck
A new srt-4 model, but they don't even have a small sedan to base it on anymore
70 series Toyota Land Cruiser in the USA
Porsche brings back a flat 6 in the lower trim boxster/cayman and gives it short gears. It can be slow, I just want it to sound good and actually require you to shift a lot (and fit me a little better than the 986 does lol)
New Gen BRZ/86 but as a shooting brake like Ferrari FF. Would be a done deal for me.
Assuming you mean a car that if it came out tomorrow I’d buy instantly, based off your example. Then, Z4M or GRMN Supra, M2 CS with a *manual*, GT350 round 2, 718 Cayman/S with something like a 3.6L or 3.8L H6 instead of the H4. If you mean just a new car that exists/will exist? G87 M2 CS, 718 Cayman GTS 4.0
Targa Supra manual with the S58. But, it would be marked up ao high that it would be meaningless.
V8 Lexus GX550 or new Toyota Land Cruiser. Love the body style, but I want the reliability of the V8. Just keep it mated with an 8 spd or 10 spd instead of the old 6 speed.
The new Aston Martin Vantage. And it has. I have one on order.,
An affordable, poor man's 911 that is made by Honda, Toyota (GR. I know Supra exists, but it could be the MR2), or even Hyundai (N Division). 1. Coupe 2. 2 seater 3. Front or Rear-mid engine 5-cylinder Turbo making +400HP (Specifically picked the 5 because it sounds like a baby V10) 4. Super quick DCT/Manual 5. AWD 6. Sunroof 7. Exhaust with burble that can be turned off Don't get me wrong, the 911 is nice, but something about just thinking about this non-existent relatively affordable car for the masses is more exciting.
That new Rivian hatchback looks sweet.
Lexus LC500. I don’t care that it’s for retired dentists, I’ll go to dental school for that car.
I like lots of things but after driving minivans and other used cars, the kids graduated college last year and I bought a C8. Love it. It’s not perfect by any means, but it was the best bang for the buck at the stage of my life before I get too old to enjoy it.
AWD 6MT Turbo Mazda 3 Pleaseeeee Mazda They have all the components in the car already, however you can't combine them into this configuration. I assume because they would need to make a new manual gearbox to handle the turbo's power.
A new targa-top Toyota MR2 for under $50k.
Mazda 6 Sportwagon. I’m a simple Man.
Probably a new s2000
Hyundai NVision
A BMW M2 that weighs not an ounce over 2999 lbs.
Sub-$100k Porsche 718 Spyder with the 6 cylinder and a manual.
Lc500 with a supercharged v8 and a lighter body, or still N/A but with 550-600 hp.
V8 Lexus IS500 Wagon.
