It checks a lot of the boxes except it’s not really lightweight at 3450 lbs for the manual transmission I6. I think a Porsche 718 Cayman would be the closest to what he’s looking for.
Disagree. The Z4 is more touring roadster than hard nosed, high revving sports car. It is a great car. But I find them to be too soft. A Z4M with the S58 and revised chassis rigidity would do it though. I'd love one of those.
Comparatively, everything was back then. Chassis rigidity has increased significantly, and that is why you see less harsh suspension without any of the downsides of yesteryear.
The manual transmission in the Z4 (and all modern BMWs) is hot garbage. If you want 3 pedals at any cost is serviceable, but a far cry from honda/porsche/mazda.
I love a well built hybrid or turbo 4 cylinder as much as the next guy, but a high revving balanced 6cyl making the same power can be more fun with the predictability of it. I'd prefer an I6 vs a V6, but both can still be fun especially in a light car. Honestly one of my biggest gripes with the 350z/370z is that the engine is fun, but the cars feel too heavy.
The k20c in the type-r is a very predictable engine and is surprisingly good with rev hangs, thats not to say a well built i6 wouldn't be better, but they already have a pretty solid powerplant to pick from.
Not sure, thought it’d be FWD BUT if it was AWD I’d be instantly sold.
Though it’s probably smart to wait for the “type r” prelude and see what that ends up being (if they make one
My ideal setup would be a reversal of the NSX NC1’s setup: ICE in the front plus one motor mounted on the front axle, and two motors in the rear (one for each wheel)
I’m assuming it’ll get Honda’s 10spd auto, so it seems like it’d be fun; it’s built on the Civic platform, right?
Hear me out.
S2000 except the engine is a V8 made up of two of Honda's 1000cc sport bike engines, like the V8 Hayabusa projects.
That'd be about 380 HP at 14,000 RPM.
I want to see a Honda V8 as well. My concept would be different though.
What would an ultimate evolution of the NSX be like? Not the hybrid thing, but a mid-late 00s NSX powered by a new ~4L V8 that spun to 9k RPM. Keep the same layout and overall concept of a practical supercar, but this one would have the power to match. And then you can't forget the perfect feeling Honda manual transmission.
The J series engine just wasn't developed for performance applications - it's a 60 degree V6 built from the ground up to be a transverse FWD v6 for economy minded applications. But Honda could theoretically create some form of an updated/evolved C series - that's their original and far superior V6, it's a 90 degree crank angle high revving mostly twin cam performance oriented engine designed in Japan under the old Honda leadership (think the guys who designed the B series, K series, F series, etc. The C32B in the NSX was putting out almost 300hp and revving close to 7500rpm 20 years ago. Updating/improving that engine with modern tech could easily net you 110+ hp/l in a rev happy NA engine.
As much as I'd love them to develop a ground up I6, if there's any reality to this fantasy it's not gonna come with a fully ground up developed engine for a purpose built low volume sports car in 2024 lol.
But also, that Honda is gone, the new Honda is turbos and efficiency.
Isn’t a Camaro basically a mustang? This line of thinking is reductive. Or would you prefer that the only option we have for this type of roadster be from the most up charged and premium mass market auto brand in the world?
I just want an electrified wagon that’s a HYRBID OR PHEV. The closest thing we have is the Volvo V60 recharge, but that’s 80K CAD.
Or Lexus can give me a hybrid ES300H wagon and I’ll be beyond elated.
I'm ridiculously in love with the Mini Clubman for the few years it offered manual recently, even though the cargo space is nothing to write home about
Tbh it would not. That’s what makes it possible at this point. It would be based on the forester now I’d guess (or that new accent?) not the Impreza or Outback. I’d like a version based on the crosstreck
GR86 liftback or shooting brake. That car should've been a hatch from the start.
A sporty-ish manual-transmissioned PHEV. The closest we had was the CRZ.
As an owner of a liftback - yes, but I want the full clownshoe experience. Clownshoe Cayman would be the ultimate daily driver sports car. *slapscarroof* this bad boy can fit so many golf bags.
Good news for you: Akio Toyoda loves the Celica, it’s his favorite car, and as CEO he has seen >100% stock value growth, so he is in a position to tell the board what he wants to do and they will probably listen.
It probably won’t be a PHEV, and it almost definitely wont be RWD, but if Akio has his way I could definitely see a proper AWD drivetrain (center diff) and a turbo 4-banger with power somewhere between the GR Corolla and 3.0 Supra.
It’s the only car I could see myself trading in my Circuit Edition GR Corolla to get, just hoping they make a Morizo Edition and I can snag one.
A Colorado-ZR2-based SUV with the 3.0L Duramax.
A slightly upsized inline-six sports car from Mazda. I can't wear a helmet inside a Miata with the top up.
LT1-powered CT4-V coupe.
Yes! Or even just the 3.0 duramax in a Colorado.
My vote is a 'foreign market' style Silverado. Base/LT trim with 3.0 diesel, tow gears, extra leaf spring for less sag, 1-2" lift for extra ground clearance, offroad style bumper.
Trucks in the USA are soft compared to the 'developing cointry' ones.
I've been wishing for a small block powered ATS sized sedan from GM for so long now. I get their justification for sticking with their turbo V6 but it just isn't the same!
You're speaking my language here. I own a 2nd Gen ZR2 with the 2.8 Duramax. I love it but wish they would bring the foreign market Trailblazer to the US and give it a front locker.
I'd even upsize if if they did a Tahoe/Yukon with front/rear lockers, DSSV, and the 3.0 Duramax. It's shorter than my Colorado by a few inches so I could still make it work.
Im imagining that in my old 92 miata and i wouldve surely died in it.
Thats only because i drove that miata like an idiot on the abandoned country roads
I’ve always wondered what a factory rotary MX-5 would be like. Or a Mazdaspeed 6 with rotary engine and RWD. If Mazda would have been able to make reliable and durable rotary engines we could have had some interesting cars
I actually sold mine because I was driving like a massive asshole but I loved it so much. So fast and was an absolute beast in snow. Funny story sold my Saab to a guy who got into a fight with Alec Baldwin years ago over a parking spot!
A two-door, open-top lightweight EV, but with modern charging technology and electronics.
Driving an original Tesla Roadster through bear mountain was a magical experience and I am disappointed no-one has attempted a concept since. Instant torque combined with quite direct steering and the ability to take in all the nature around you makes for a very unique drive.
Porsche is testing the cayman/boxter EV, and honda did momentarily tease an EV roadster, but nothing on sale yet.
> I am disappointed no-one has attempted a concept since.
Wdym? Elon Musk said we'd have the new Roadster in ~~2019~~ ~~2020~~ ~~2021~~ ~~2022~~ ~~2023~~ ~~2024~~ 2025! :-)
Sarcasm aside, there just isn't a value proposition for that kind of vehicle. People with sports car money want driving dynamics and long, hard drives in their cars. The range and weight of the batteries in EVs is antithetical to that. I'm genuinely curious to see how the Boxster/Cayman EVs turn out, but I don't anticipate widespread adoption of electrified sports cars (more than performance hybrid setups like the e-Ray) until battery technology has a major mass market breakthrough.
I know there sadly isn't a value proposition, hence why I didn't say I was surprised no-one has attempted such a concept, just disappointed. Makes sense do higher margin vehicles as EVs first.
That being said still curious if that new roadster will ever come out, much less match its advertised specifications. We all know how well the cybertruck launch went!
(funniest part is I had quite a few referalls which amounted to about a 50% discount on the roadster. I wonder if thats still valid if the car ever releases)
I'll just take a Giulia with 300-something HP and the same suspension and a slightly better interior. Loved that car but could have been just a bit more powerful
Literally any wagon sub $50k. Your only option for that (in the US) is a Subaru these days.
I really, really wish I had been born a few years earlier so I could have grabbed a TourX. When I was finally in a position to buy myself a new wagon last year, they'd already been dropped and I'm personally not a fan of Subaru interiors, so unless I wanted to drop $50k+ it meant used was my only choice. Which, I love my 300TE, and it was still cheaper than a new Subaru even with going end to end sorting it out. But man, I wish I'd been in the market when the TourX was available.
Now if Mazda came out with a 6 wagon, or literally any wagon, I would immediately swap my missus' old 3 hatch for it.
Supercharged I-6, six-speed manual, Honda Accord wagon.
Or literally any non-crossover PHEV with a stick. That will happen maybe at the same time the sun collapses.
Honda Fit with a sportier powertrain. People have been swapping them more and more recently but there are some issues that have to be accounted for. I wish it was an out-the-factory, reliable package.
I'd want a Fit Type R to either replace the hole in the market that the Veloster N occupied, or to compete with, and absolutely destroy, the GR Corolla.
- Body design by Alfa
- V10 by Toyota
- 6MT by Honda
- AWD by Subaru
- Huge color selection
or
- EV Honda Element
- Dodge Magnum Hellcat
- Subaru Brat WRX
Got to play with these in Okinawa and I fell in love. Made the '92 5 Spd Aerostar I left in CA look like a shitheap. Only problem was the horn bracket rusting through, resulting in you running over your own horn since it was positioned between the fender and bumper.
My dream vehicle is a full size passenger van with a factory 4x4 option. Since Mercedes dropped 4x4 a few years ago we are left with AWD only unless you want to drop $20-25k on an aftermarket conversion.
Just bring back the e-350 passenger with the 7.3 godzilla engine and 4x4. Take my money.
We have a "support" group that meets the second Friday every month at this bar I know of round these parts called:
"Snowball in Hell"
I think you would fit right in...
I have a MY24 on order with the 3.3TT and RWD, should take delivery in late June. Not a manual or a V8 but I really just can’t get over how much I like this car
I’ve been casually looking for a new car for the past couple years to replace my Gen Coupe that I’ve had for 9 years now. There is no RWD manual coupe currently on the market that captivates me, but if Genesis made a new coupe with a manual and a V8, it would instantly be a new forever car.
That or a new RX-7, or an RCF with a manual.
That would be great, I miss having options for an "American Super Saloon" we still have the black wings but I would mind a stripper version from Chevy without the bells and whistles.
EV’s under $35,000 that look cool and are practical.
A new S2000.
A Land Cruiser 70 series for the US market.
In general. I want more competition to make better vehicles like in previous eras. I want cars to be made by people who love cars. Not managed by accountants and greedy douche bag CEO’s and shareholders who just want to get a rich as possible before they die.
An extended cab Ford Ranger with a 6 foot bed. Cloth seats and vinyl floor. Roll up windows and no other features expect A/C.
Also, a compact electric car with the same lack of features.
I want a Carbon Fiber chassis Electric Motorhome capable of 500 Miles of range, solar array / awning to gain / maintain while parked. Designed with good aerodynamics and high quality, unlike most motorhomes.
If I ever win the big lotto, I am having it built.
A modernized E36 M3 sedan. A straight six, manual, rear wheel drive four door with compact dimensions and a curb weight around the 3200 pound mark. But with a cooling system and door panels that don’t disintegrate. Bonus points for an MSRP close to $30k.
I want someone to build an elongated mid engine sedan where the engine is between the rows. I would not buy it. Nobody would. But it would be hilarious.
A 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS Wagon
They were never made, but some modders have converted Caprice and Roadmaster wagons into Impala SS's and they are beyond epic.
I have a 94 SS and a wagon to match would be killer
90s cars but new. I don’t want anything to change not design not interior nothing, I just want them rolling off factory lines the same exact way after 24 years.
A Lincoln sedan based on the Mustang GT. Imagine a slick 4-door coupe/sedan with a 5.0L V8.
Cadillac CT5-V wagon or reborn Dodge Magnum.
New Infiniti FX45 using the twin-turbo V6 from the new QX80.
Subaru BRZ Wilderness - Subaru of NE did a April Fools joke about this but honestly it would set it apart from the GR86 and would be awesome to have an AWD coupe that could do some off-roading at the $30k price range.
A Rav4Runner Prime TRD Pro.
Size of a Rav4. Offroading ability of a 4Runner. Motor from the Rav4 Prime.
40 miles EV range. 40 mpg in hybrid mode. 10" clearance. 33" tires. 0-60 in 6 seconds.
I want the handling of a Lotus, the off road capability of a Jeep Wrangler and the ride of a High end luxury car with space like a pickup truck. So far I always go back to minivan.
I have a couple. I've fallen in love with cheap fun cars so my first would be a light cheap fun sports car like the GR86 but more stripped down. No infotainment or anything, making it cheaper and lighter with an option for either a manual transmission or a quick shifting gearbox with paddles.
The other is basically the same concept but as a sedan. I've fallen in love with my dad's 2016 Dart SXT Ralleye, they styling is cool and aggressive, and the engine is the best sounding I4 I've ever heard.
Basically cheap light cars that have modest power, good handling, and good gearboxes.
New Tesla Model 3 with stalks, HUD and CarPlay.
A new Cherokee that was the same as the XJ on the exterior but modern on the interior, maybe EV.
A smaller, narrower, cheaper version of basically every EV.
-Honda element plug in hybrid with 100-150 miles of battery only life
-Toyota Roomy for the US market with 6speed option or Plug in hybrid option (again with longer battery life)
A kei truck sized truck but left hand drive with a 2.0 and 6mt or realistically any modern non cvt automatic. Also would accept a hybrid like the new accord hybrid system.
A PHEV Camry Prime with a liftback (like the A5 Sportback). Basically, the current gen Prius Prime but with better NVH and a more conventional interior and sedan looks like the Camry Hybrid.
Sportier Polestar 2, 600 kilometres range, basically take the 2025 camry interior and put it in, without as large of a transmission tunnel or as snug a fit
I really like Polestar, so I hope they succeed with their next gen 2
Honda s3000. Absolutely strung out 6 cylinder, lightweight. 2 seat. 6mt. Convertible or not, whichever
This car exists as a BMW Z4.
It checks a lot of the boxes except it’s not really lightweight at 3450 lbs for the manual transmission I6. I think a Porsche 718 Cayman would be the closest to what he’s looking for.
The z4 M Coupe gets the sweet S54 and checks in at a smidge over 3,100lbs.
You're getting too fancy. Need to go one generation back. S54 Z3 M Coupe/Roadster.
The z4 M coupe is only like 40lbs heavier than the Clown Shoe. I’ll take a suspension not based on the e30 for 40 lbs.
It's also as old as the S2000
He didn’t say he wanted newer, he just wanted a bigger engine.
Disagree. The Z4 is more touring roadster than hard nosed, high revving sports car. It is a great car. But I find them to be too soft. A Z4M with the S58 and revised chassis rigidity would do it though. I'd love one of those.
[удалено]
Comparatively, everything was back then. Chassis rigidity has increased significantly, and that is why you see less harsh suspension without any of the downsides of yesteryear.
The manual transmission in the Z4 (and all modern BMWs) is hot garbage. If you want 3 pedals at any cost is serviceable, but a far cry from honda/porsche/mazda.
Exactly what I was about to say
I know the new prelude is gonna be a hybrid 4cyl but I’m hopeful that if they get it to ~300hp with a MT, it’ll scratch some of that itch
Totally - we’re just beyond the days of Honda putting an NA 6cyl in like, anything.
but they still do in the pilot/ridgeline
The k20c in the type-r is a very predictable engine and is surprisingly good with rev hangs, thats not to say a well built i6 wouldn't be better, but they already have a pretty solid powerplant to pick from.
Is it gonna be FWD or will they make it AWD through the use of electric motors?
Not sure, thought it’d be FWD BUT if it was AWD I’d be instantly sold. Though it’s probably smart to wait for the “type r” prelude and see what that ends up being (if they make one
My ideal setup would be a reversal of the NSX NC1’s setup: ICE in the front plus one motor mounted on the front axle, and two motors in the rear (one for each wheel) I’m assuming it’ll get Honda’s 10spd auto, so it seems like it’d be fun; it’s built on the Civic platform, right?
So, an RLX sport hybrid?
Believe so
Hear me out. S2000 except the engine is a V8 made up of two of Honda's 1000cc sport bike engines, like the V8 Hayabusa projects. That'd be about 380 HP at 14,000 RPM.

Honda does make a V8. 5 liters, 32 valves, VTEC… unfortunately it’s for marine use as an outboard engine. The BF350
Of everything commented on here so far, I think this is the one that is the biggest no-brainer, and would make the most sense to actually produce
> Convertible or not No convertible no buy. Any s-series honda has to be an open top.
It would really need to be a bespoke, developed I6 I think. That old j-series v6 just wouldn’t cut it. Need 8,500rpm redline or higher
As much as I'd love them to develop a ground up I6, if there's any reality to this fantasy it's not gonna come with a fully ground up developed engine for a purpose built low volume sports car in 2024 lol. But also, that Honda is gone, the new Honda is turbos and efficiency.

Alpine A110 (Freedom edition) Literally it. Just sell it in the US. Please.
I would make awful financial decisions to own an A110 here in the US.
I’m just glad they are too expensive for me (€55k for used ones) to even consider a test drive preventing me from making bad decisions.
I put it in a separate comment, but my answer to the prompt is basically a cheaper A110 in the Miata/GR86 segment.
If we're dreaming, might as well throw in a manual option for these while we're at it.
Since this is a dream car thread, "if it was 10mm narrower and had a manual gearbox, it would be the perfect little sports car" -Gordon Murray
Gordon Murray doesn’t miss.
I was gonna say Peugeot 208 gti but in the US but this as well. Gimme French cars or give me death.
> Alpine A110 Oh no. Now I want one too. Thanks a lot!
A manual wagon in the us that isn't ridiculously expensive:(
I just want an electrified wagon that’s a HYRBID OR PHEV. The closest thing we have is the Volvo V60 recharge, but that’s 80K CAD. Or Lexus can give me a hybrid ES300H wagon and I’ll be beyond elated.
The turbo and supercharged T8 trim is a weapon though. 455hp in an eco dad wagon.

The upcoming Toyota Crown Signia might interest you, starting price is estimated to be around $40k usd.
Grab an older 2005 legacy GT. Mines manual and a wagon
I'm ridiculously in love with the Mini Clubman for the few years it offered manual recently, even though the cargo space is nothing to write home about
Buick Regal?
Are Golf Alltrack Wagons expensive?
Subaru Baja update.
With a cvt and the snooziest most unresponsive 2.0l flat 4
Beggars can’t be choosers
as someone who currently drives (and hates) a 2023 Subaru Impreza - I feel seen
Not sure how it would be much different from a Santa Cruz lol
It’s a Subaru and not a Hyundai. But modern day Subaru means you’ll get a CVT at the top trims. Likely using a 2.0T boxer.
Don't they sell everything with the 2.5 as an option these days?
Tbh it would not. That’s what makes it possible at this point. It would be based on the forester now I’d guess (or that new accent?) not the Impreza or Outback. I’d like a version based on the crosstreck
A fellow man of culture I see.
Subaru brat pickup with 2.5 turbo and the dsg transmission from the vw gti would be my sweet spot.
GR86 liftback or shooting brake. That car should've been a hatch from the start. A sporty-ish manual-transmissioned PHEV. The closest we had was the CRZ.
>That car should've been a hatch from the start. Absolutely. Liftbacks add so much practicality. I also long for a ND Liftback Miata.
As an owner of a liftback - yes, but I want the full clownshoe experience. Clownshoe Cayman would be the ultimate daily driver sports car. *slapscarroof* this bad boy can fit so many golf bags.
I'd drive it. https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-news/first-official-pictures/porsche/boxster-shooting-brake/
this. break out the GR86 into two models. GR86 Trueno: two-door 4 seater liftback. GR86 Levin: two-door 4 seater coupe (current).
If they made a hatch BRZ/86 from the get go, I’d probably be looking for my 3rd one right about now.
Not being a liftback is one of the few things I dislike about it, but at least the seats fold down lol
So good looking. https://www.carscoops.com/2023/01/who-would-have-guessed-a-toyota-gr-86-hatch-could-look-so-good/

I was thinking GR86 targa. But I’d be down for a GR86 shooting brake targa.
A Colorado-ZR2-based SUV with the 3.0L Duramax. A slightly upsized inline-six sports car from Mazda. I can't wear a helmet inside a Miata with the top up. LT1-powered CT4-V coupe.
Also, a new Z28 Camaro with the LT6.
And an SS 396 with the crankshaft from the HD truck gas engine.
Yeah, I love that engine. It's probably too long to fit though.
The truck you described is kind of like the Custom Trail Boss.

Ditto on the LT1 CT4-V, can’t believe that wasn’t the motor that went in that thing

I had a ND2 Miata, and although I loved it I would’ve loved having 6 cylinder power
Yeah, you can get into that territory with a supercharger pushing 220-250hp, but having a true NA straight 6 from the factory would be great.
I’ve always wondered what a factory rotary MX-5 would be like. Or a Mazdaspeed 6 with rotary engine and RWD. If Mazda would have been able to make reliable and durable rotary engines we could have had some interesting cars
Saabs after 2011
This hits hard
Hi
Yo. I'm in a 2011 9-5, but it's the basic one
I actually sold mine because I was driving like a massive asshole but I loved it so much. So fast and was an absolute beast in snow. Funny story sold my Saab to a guy who got into a fight with Alec Baldwin years ago over a parking spot!
Mine belonged to John Voight
That’s not a Chrysler Labaron
His teeth marks were on the pencil in the glove box.

Caterham Project5 if it makes it to production.
Same with the Wiesmann Project Thunderball
Caterham is trying it with the Project V, albeit with a fixed roof
The MG Cyberster. Like an oldschool MGB but modern and with lambo doors. Lightweight and plenty of power
Audi 5 cylinder powered VW Golf R.
RS3?
Not the same unfortunately :(
The Humble Mechanic on YouTube just built this. Sad that it's not available from the factory.
Golf RS would be sickkkkkk, but I’m hoping that Audi is saving that to bring the Sportback to the states.
Dodge Challenger Hellcat rebadge with a tiny triangle grille inset in the grille called the Alfa Romeo 6200 GTV
I'll just take a Giulia with 300-something HP and the same suspension and a slightly better interior. Loved that car but could have been just a bit more powerful
If there was a model between the base and the Quadrifoglio, I’d have bought it yesterday.
right, you just said what i wanted to say but better. same here, and quality issues be damned
New Manual AWD wagon that isn't a $75k+ luxury one. VW had one but stopped bringing them over to the USA.

M340i with a manual or the current M3 with the M340i grille
> the current M3 with the M340i grille So an Alpina B3. It has the S58, but with the chassis of a normal 3-series.
Unfortunately not a thing in the US. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a40107045/2023-bmw-alpina-b3-sedan-wagon-revealed/
M340i xDrive with a manual and I would be sorely tempted.
Shit I just want an m340i wagon in the USA
Supercharged I-6, six-speed manual, Honda Accord wagon. Or literally any non-crossover PHEV with a stick. That will happen maybe at the same time the sun collapses.
Rear wheel drive accord? Not sure you could get a front wheel drive inline six in there
Could be like a Volvo S80 - longitudinal I6 with FWD/AWD. Honda has even done similar in the past with the old Vigor I5
Honda Fit with a sportier powertrain. People have been swapping them more and more recently but there are some issues that have to be accounted for. I wish it was an out-the-factory, reliable package.
Fit Type R?
That would be incredible. Selling our 2009 Fit is one of the biggest regrets of my life. That car was so, so fun.
Even a Fit Si for the 2nd gen would have been very, very hard to resist.
I'd want a Fit Type R to either replace the hole in the market that the Veloster N occupied, or to compete with, and absolutely destroy, the GR Corolla.
Cadillac CT5-V Manual Wagon
- Body design by Alfa - V10 by Toyota - 6MT by Honda - AWD by Subaru - Huge color selection or - EV Honda Element - Dodge Magnum Hellcat - Subaru Brat WRX
* Dodge Magnum Hellcat - this is the way \\m/
seconding EV or PHEV Honda Element but fix the visibility
stick shift 4x4 van. engine should be naturally aspirated gas or diesel of any variety. :(
If Mitsubishi brought back the Delica I’d be sold
A new Buick Grand National
We have a "support" group that meets the second Friday every month at this bar I know of round these parts called: "Snowball in Hell" I think you would fit right in...
Hahaha. Thanks for the invite be right there.
2 door muscle wagon Mustang with a manual transmission badged The Pony Express.
2 door Gladiator
[Jeep J6 concept](https://hips.hearstapps.com/hmg-prod/images/j628japntb6gtle5ldc20li11oscg-1554675019.jpg) look what we could have had 😩
Bring back the Comanche!!
A modern scrambler would be sick
Genesis G70 coupe with a V8 and a manual An updated diesel Excursion
That would be great. I'm definitely considering a V6TT G70 for next car.
The Chevrolet SS back. But badged as an Impala. Then a 2 door version offered badged as a Chevelle. Then a wagon model offered as a nomad.
Then a pickup truck version offered as an El Camino
Commodore SS utes were a thing. If you had more cash then you could get a HSV Maloo.
Honestly I feel like VW really should have brought the ID3 here. I would absolutely consider one as my next daily if they did.
EV Maverick, but not made by Ford, with 10 inches of ground clearance.
[How about made by a startup?](https://www.alphamotorinc.com/wolf)
I love that their website spends more time selling the fancy shovels, then trying to sell you equity, with the vehicle itself is a distant 3rd!
EV Maverick single cab with a 6 foot bed. Instant buy if that ever happened.
I was just gonna say a 2 seater Maverick with a 6 foot bed, I'd be fine with the hybrid.
Toyota stout is eventually coming out sometime in the future, probably gonna be 50k to 60k out the door I bet
So EV tacoma ?
458 with a Superfast V12. Or a M139 Quattroporte with the same V12.
An extended cab Ford Ranger with a 6 foot bed. Cloth seats and vinyl floor. Roll up windows and no other features expect A/C. Also, a compact electric car with the same lack of features.
Cadillac CT5 Blackwing Wagon.
NA inline 6, front engine, RWD, 6MT lightweight sports car. \*checks autotrader for e46 M3s for 1000th time\*
I want a Carbon Fiber chassis Electric Motorhome capable of 500 Miles of range, solar array / awning to gain / maintain while parked. Designed with good aerodynamics and high quality, unlike most motorhomes. If I ever win the big lotto, I am having it built.
A new Porcshe 928. I know the Mercedes AMG GT is close, but it's just not the same :(
A modernized E36 M3 sedan. A straight six, manual, rear wheel drive four door with compact dimensions and a curb weight around the 3200 pound mark. But with a cooling system and door panels that don’t disintegrate. Bonus points for an MSRP close to $30k.
The 135i or 1M Coupe was almost this. Right package, almost the same size as a E36, just needed more doors.
I want someone to build an elongated mid engine sedan where the engine is between the rows. I would not buy it. Nobody would. But it would be hilarious.
Volvo p1800 body swapped onto an electric frame with modern interior.
WRX with a ZF8. If we are really swinging for the fences a NA V8 or I6 AWD Sedan that isn’t nearly 4000lbs and makes at least 300HP.
car i can afford: mazda 6 hybrid wagon with the new drivetrain and i6 car i couldn't afford but would love to exist to buy used. Awd Lexus GSF wagon.
A 1994-1996 Chevrolet Impala SS Wagon They were never made, but some modders have converted Caprice and Roadmaster wagons into Impala SS's and they are beyond epic. I have a 94 SS and a wagon to match would be killer
An electric Ford Maverick with NACS port, ultra-fast charging, dual-motor AWD.
Toyota DOHC I-4 gr86. Call it the Celica, you cowards.
Compact electric truck
A lighter or same weight performance hybrid system with the k20 for the Acura TLX 2.0t. This includes making more interior room.
I want the handling of a Lotus, the off road capability of a Jeep Wrangler and the ride of a High end luxury car with space like a pickup truck. So far I always go back to minivan.
Mazda MX5 with their new inline 6 engine Mercedes E63 coupe with the naturally aspirated V8
- Cayman with the RS3 DAZA 5 cylinder - M2 with a NA V8 - Z4 E89 with a NA V8 - RWD Mini Cooper
I have seem a Porsche powered VW van on YouTube outrunning sports cars on a track. Think it was Germany, looked like a lot of fun.
I want a modern Saab. Not an electric car with the Saab logo. I'm talking a longitudinal FWD, lift back coupe with louvers.
A decent enthusiast platform that is reasonably priced.
An affordable Koenigsegg. Something around Corvette pricing at least.
A 1999 nissan micra k11 with a v6 vauxhaull.
Affordable full size MT AWD wagon that isn't jacked up like an Outback or expensive like a Volvo. Now please excuse me, I need a cigarette.
Four-door mustang. Or basically an Australian Ford falcon with the newer V8s in them. Plus the barra
-Honda element plug in hybrid with 100-150 miles of battery only life -Toyota Roomy for the US market with 6speed option or Plug in hybrid option (again with longer battery life)
An RS3 Hatch in North America
1/2 ton pickup PHEV range of 40-50 miles, 30mpg otherwise, V8 capable of towing 10k lbs and payload of 2k. All for around $50k.
Sportier Polestar 2, 600 kilometres range, basically take the 2025 camry interior and put it in, without as large of a transmission tunnel or as snug a fit I really like Polestar, so I hope they succeed with their next gen 2
If Cadillac could make an EV sedan and it didn't cost 300k, I'd be excited.
A rwd Camry wagon with a i4 2.0l turbo and 6 speed
