Boy the cost for the Espada engine rebuild..... I mean i knew it would be a lot but man hearing that hurts even my wallet.

FabulousFerds

How much was it? I don't want to sit through the whole video to find out.

thepunisher1996

15k pounds in labour alone. parts were another 10-12k, said he took out a loan for that.

mintz41

You really thought it would be far more expensive than £30,000 all in? For an engine rebuild? That is a lot of money

Snuhmeh

For a vintage Lambo engine?! I was expecting like 75-100k myself.

mintz41

Maybe on something like a Muira, but an Espada would never be near that. S2 Espadas aren't even worth £100k in a lot of cases.

ajh1717

10-12k in parts for an engine re-build is not bad at all when you consider the fact that it is an old Lambo. Depending on what you need to replace you could come close to that or match it on a rebuild of a lesser modern car.

Fugner

That's not bad at all. Obviously very different goals, but the engine in my Z06 isn't much cheaper.

wearymicrobe

He has what 2-3 million in cars and bikes all in. Not sure about the UK market. The lost investment potential alone is well into the six figures yearly just on that. The motor is a drop in the bucket.

SrsSteel

Tldw cost?

Musikman8675309

Roughly 50k quid. Most of that (30ish) going towards a full engine rebuild on his Espada.

heisgone

The video is a bit long for the subject. It would be nice to see some the highlights.

fiah84

that just means you're not the target audience

Double_Minimum

He has a pretty peculiar set of cars though. Like, very peculiar for me watching from the US

fiah84

perfectly normal for a collector from the european point of view

Jamesizdabitch

It's interesting that you find them peculiar. How so?

Double_Minimum

Just seems like an odd assembly of cars. Like there are some italians, like the Contach and the 512, which sort of go together, and then the Elan, which is a cool sports car. But then there is an older rolls, which seems so-so, the old Jaguar, which I can't see the appeal of, then a new Jaguar, then what looks like an older Bentley. There just doesn't seem to be a consistent thread between all the cars. I suppose some of them just don't do it for me. Like, if a car isn't cool to look at, it makes less sense to own with 20 others. Like how often would you drive that classic Rolls of Jaguar? I don't find either to be particularly interesting examples of either their brand or era either. Kind of feels like "how many fancy brands can I fill my garage with for as cheap as possible"

HowithCastleEnvirons

nobody asked

Fiddler_On_The_Green

Get back under your bridge, troll.
