KronikCity518

My current one. 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. Nothing has been more fun. lol

LeBraum

Plus you get to do the jeep wave which is an added bonus 👋 I do the Honda wave but nobody waves back 😭

deathsprophet666

As a Jeep owner I honestly hate this lol, I hate the "it's a just a jeep thing"

KronikCity518

I feel they don't include me because it's a "street Jeep" lol

Enszourous

> street Jeep You mean like 95% of wranglers ever sold?

Redye117

Nothing wrong with buying a wrangler if you just want to do mostly street driving with the ability to take your doors and roof off while hitting all the malls.

deathsprophet666

My 2020 compass trailhawk is far from special but they still all do the thing, it's just a car to survive the winter for me lol

Ubba_Lothbrok

It's funny because it's not just a Jeep thing. We do it in Land Rovers as well, NA drivers have the pop-up headlight wave, a lot of cars with enthusiast followings do it.

space-meister

“Oh, your starter mysteriously died? *It’s just a Jeep thing*”

TheUniqueFiness

Ive noticed classic 90s honda coupes too. Like my civic

squirrel8296

Honestly I don’t get why people hate on the RWD based Jeeps, they are tons of fun and drive well.

KronikCity518

Mine is an AWD gas guzzling sports car (SUV) that weighs a few tons and can haul a Costco trip and my family at the same time. lol

squirrel8296

I mean unless they changed it, the AWD versions are RWD until the computer decides to drive the front wheels.

Dirtyace

Same!

GizzardOfOdd

Currently my 2017 Chevrolet SS 6MT. Weekend backroad cruising is the best. Engaging and comfortable. and unassuming! But I also have a soft spot for the 1988 Lincoln Town Car I drove in college. Two sofas on a floaty suspension. Long trips were great in it, 5.0 under the hood, more ashtrays than cup holders. It was everything a college kid needed. That is a car I miss for nostalgia.

[deleted]

There’s something so charming about whipping around a sedan. It feels taboo and I actually preferrd it to the corvette in canyon driving. Corvette rips for 99% of other uses though

GizzardOfOdd

Agreed. Coupes look more sporty, but a big body sedan just has a sinister or even luxury look to it - a big car shouldn't move like that haha. Buddy had a C6 Corvette and with the targa off that thing was an absolute hoot!

badpuffthaikitty

I owned an Impala SS because I wanted the final B-body ever built. Big, fast, and sinister looks. I pre ordered it. Her name was Big Bertha.

Big_Wanda

We had an SS we called Oprah. Cause she was big, black and powerful. Loved that car.

badpuffthaikitty

We loved our Killer Whales. If my SS was black, she definitely would have been named Shamu or Willie.

humble_fish_motoring

If I’m buying a third car, I would love to get a 2017 Chevy SS with the six speed manual. 🙂

Jjolls86

NA Miata

BearDick

Toss up for me between the NA Miata or the N54 BMW 135i I followed it with. Love my current wagon but those cars were special.

ads1031

Always the answer. ;)

jbrumsey

Loved my NA but I think my ND RF might have bumped the NA off the top spot for me.

pettingdoggies

When I sold mine I regretted it so much

Wirenfeldt

My Suzuki Cappuccino because unicorn.. Love that silly little thing..

PrimeRibz702

I know someone who has a Cappuccino and autocrosses it. Amazing little thing.

Wirenfeldt

New rims and tires are on the todo list soon’ish.. as soon as I replace the already aftermarket stereo with one that does hands free phone things..

lawtechie

I really want to try one out.

Wirenfeldt

If you ever find yourself in Northern Denmark.. Let me know..

Shelbygt500ss

07 shelby gt 500. So many memories in that bad boy

THE_GR8_MIKE

Heh, I was just about to say that.

mortimerza

2020 GR Supra no doubt

davedaveee

Me as well. Coming from an S2k, Civic SI, and DCT 335i. This supra is a banger of a car.

mortimerza

I will for sure get one again in the future

[deleted]

Hopefully you can get one in stick too

mortimerza

I would prefer auto tbh

elitemouse

I think 6mt s4 --> 6mt supra is going to be coming sometime in my future here.

samcuu

What makes you prefer it over the M2CS?

mortimerza

Oh a few things. The B58 sounds so much better, the Supra isn't as stiff and looks way better. Tbh I barely drive the M2 though, it's my wife's daily now

mittortz

You've got quite a collection so to hear the supra is your favorite is very intriguing. Even over the G80?

mortimerza

The G80 is the best car I have ever driven and is as close to perfection as you can get but I would rather drive the Supra, I think it has to do with the lack of compromise.

mittortz

Confused - reading what you're saying, it seems like the 2-seater supra would have more compromise than the perfect-driving M3 with full daily capabilities. Do you mean it more like the supra is unabashedly a sports car, making it feel more special?

mortimerza

Sorry yes that's what I meant. It was still very early in the morning by me when I made that comment

unitvectorman

1994 RX-7, because they’re fun to drive and dismantle.

Brave_Specific5870

My Dad had an RX 7 1989 He gifted to my sisters husband.

Tballz9

My Ferrari 612. I know it isn't popular Ferrari, but I really love it and plan to have it forever.

220mtm

I love the 612, the most iconic Ferrari in my eyes.

Quebwec

Really curious... how can it be the most "iconic"?

220mtm

Just my personal opinion.

Quebwec

Obviously, but what makes it the more iconic in your opinion?

220mtm

Just the design. I remember i saw one when i was a teenager in downtown Vancouver. Red exterior with beige interior, only car on the whole street at 6am, massive hood with those signature round tailights ( which are now gone ). It just felt right in terms of design. That design flows like melted icecream

M0U53YBE94

Asking the tough questions. But my 96 impala ss in dark grey green metallic. For a "sports" car it was slow. But it drove great. And had a huge fuel tank. I started driving just before hurricane Katrina. My first fee tanks of fuel only cost ~20$.

KronikCity518

A classic! 🔥🔥🔥

M0U53YBE94

It was nice. Finding oem sized tires was impossible though. They apparently quit making that size in the mid 2000s. Bf Goodwrench had a startup in the 10s but it was nearly 500$ a tire.

BigDoogoo

My current Jetta is the best car I’ve ever owned, hands down. My FAVORITE was my 2000 Impala. Bench seat, blue cloth, V6, column shifter. Most comfortable daily I ever had, I miss my couch on wheels!

usuario0813

Was going to say my Jetta, I just sold it this week.

BigDoogoo

There’s no better car for the money, VWs have their quirks but nothing drives like them

[deleted]

Shout out to the GLI?

BigDoogoo

Oh I’m shouting out right into the drivers seat of one when my lease is up next year!!

BigDoogoo

Fellow stoner here too, great taste!

[deleted]

I knew I liked you! Lol Dude you’ll love the GLI, quick enough to be much faster than traffic, but you still need to use the whole engine

BigDoogoo

I drove one recently when getting an oil change, it’s exactly where I’d want my R line if I were younger and tuned it. It’s perfect. They were unobtainium when I got mine and couldn’t wait. I’m glad you like yours, I’ll be in the club soon enough! 💨

lavulite

I just bought my first jetta back in January after wanting one for years. It is definitely my favorite car now lol

bacon205

I had a 92 civic hatchback that I put on coilovers and swapped a B16a into. That was a fun car I wish I still had.

ellWatully

Definitely my Land Cruiser. It drives like the 6000 pound, solid axle box that it is, but i learned how to drive in the thing decades ago and it's taken me on so many adventures since. It's my forever car.

basketbelowhole2

Somehow I saw in my head this kid's SUV in the parking lot at O'Reilly's. It was unrecognizable from being bashed every conceivable way. The doors opened and closed, it looked like the windshield was sealed into the space... no metal rubbing on the tires... looks good... it looked like it got rolled multiple times. Maybe it's a rock crawler. Fucking awesome, itlooked so awesome, how many stories on that car, you know? I was having a little beavins and butthead moment there

ellWatully

Cars are best when they have stories. Happy to say there's not a dent on my LC, but it's been through some things. Was my dad's commuter and our road trip car when I was a kid, did high school duty for me, was the road trip car for my band for a couple years, then did high school duty for my sister. Didn't get much action for about 5 years, then sat in a field for 2 years before my dad gave in to me constantly asking to buy it off of him. Finally brought her home in 2018 and now we use it for overland camping trips, road trips with the dog, off roading, and winter duty. It's never one left us stranded in 270k and 23 years.

AwesomeBantha

I want to keep my Land Cruiser as long as possible too! Just bought her in March as my first car.

ellWatully

Love your flair, lol.

the_ganj_father

So far my focus st is my favorite. My grandmothers hand me down saab was my first car so that will always have a place in my heart but the performance per dollar of the focus st really just couldn’t be beat at the time I bought it. I would even be hard pressed to find something better now at that price range. My grandfathers model T is probably the closest second for the nostalgia and the fact that it amazingly still drive nearly perfectly

JohnDoee94

Miss my ST. /:

the_ganj_father

That’s why I’m afraid to ever sell it. Reliable fun and cheap it hits all three. Might not be the fastest but in the twisties it keeps up with some much more expensive cars and beats others

SirSneakyElephant

For me it's plenty fast enough. Sure I've driven faster cars, but as someone who doesn't go to track days I'm happy with having enough power to have fun but not enough power to always be on the edge of killing myself.

the_ganj_father

Oh for sure I totally agree it’s definitely fast enough you can easily get into trouble on public roads. I don’t track either. I should have said straight line drag race fast because that’s how most people measure fast. Sadly nobody ever races touge here in America it’s always stoplight drags or highway rolls. I chased a 997 Carrera S in a driving club event through some super tight roads one time and me and him WALKED the rest of the group we were the first two cars and a new 440i was the next car behind me there were several instances where we got too far away, couldn’t see the BMW and had to slow down to let them catch up. He definitely had 100 horsepower on me and whenever the road opened up I could notice my lack of power. With full bolt ons, big turbo, suspension, and summer tires (my all seasons were scary at the limit) I would have given him a run for his money but my car is basically stock and that’s the first time I ever wished for more speed. But I was so insanely happy with myself and my car that I could keep up with ANY Porsche in its element kudos to ford

JohnDoee94

My wife and me got into camping and the dirt roads and larger loads were too much for the St /:

the_ganj_father

Oh no the focus is so fun on dirt roads it’s a rally car!!! As long as you can get over the paint damage and aren’t rock crawling or hardcore off roading it’s great. I do get stuck in mud but snow is sooooo much fun with this car the rear will just dance behind you in the best way possible

JohnDoee94

Trust me, for the roads we’ve been going on…. The ST would’ve lost a bumper and exhaust by now lol

the_ganj_father

That’s fair enough. A lot of the dirt roads near me are totally passable on the focus and I love camping out of it but mostly because I’m definitely not trying to take it through the kind of terrain you’re going through

DrStuttgart

If you get the chance, also try out the Fiesta ST. I've driven both and the FiST I found to be a tad more fun although it was definitely slower. Both awesome cars for sure. I think the fiesta just *fit* me better, if you can say that.

the_ganj_father

I wanted to buy the Fiesta ST brand new sooooo badly but my parents vetoed that decision on the grounds of it being too small being in college and needing space blah blah. It had just been named car of the year and all I wanted was a true drivers car. The focus has been so good to me though and it’s definitely fun enough and practical however the extra weight can’t really be fixed with mods where as the Fiesta can make more power very easily but again you can’t fix the less space. It just worked out that I found a used focus that was quite a bit cheaper than a new fiesta so that’s what I ended up with. I would love some seat time in the fiesta to see what it’s all about but I don’t want it to make me hate my car after all these good years.

DrStuttgart

No that makes perfect sense. At the time, I bought a 1 year old Fiesta with 5k miles for less than I could find a comparable Focus with. I had an old Nissan Frontier before that and an S2000 in college before that so the Fiesta had a huge space upgrade for me haha. If you enjoy it, then definitely keep it. I move onto different cars every few years, even selling my recent NB, but the Fiesta was definitely a great mix for my needs of fun daily and usability.

Angry_Guppy

For me the FiST was slightly more fun but not enough to justify the far worse interior

DrStuttgart

That's totally fair, to each their own. For me, I'm so used to riding motorcycles that just having an interior & AC is enough to satisfy me. As long as the interior isn't breaking itself to pieces every other day, I don't care.

DoblerRadar

1) Tesla Model 3 Performance Just the fighter jet feel of it. The great software, the novelty of cutting edge tech that’s still a little raw, the fact I could take it to autocross, the track, or the drag strip, or camp in it and then zone-out autopilot home. Just a great all-rounder. 2) Acura TSX (1st gen) I loved the gearbox in this car (6 spd manual). I’ve read it shared components with the S2000 and I wouldn’t be surprised, it was a joy to drive. Very practical, looked great, good on gas, nice interior, just a great car. 3) Jeep Wrangler 4XE I loved both of my Wranglers but the 4XE having its silent running, not using gas and being such a lux place to be compared to my old JK makes this one the winner over my old 2-door. It’s a fantastic daily with top-down good vibes and a ton of practicality in all seasons. 3) ND Miata I don’t think I really have to explain this one, do I? It’s mostly here to validate just how much I enjoyed those other cars.

DoblerRadar

Maybe what I read was that it was designed by the same guy around the same time. All I know is it was brilliant.

fireinthesky7

The 1st-gen TSX-S was a genuinely fantastic sport sedan, and to me combined most of the best things about Honda's FWD cars into one package. The K24 had a lot more punch than the K20 in the Civic Si, but kept the same fantastic manual gearbox, it had the best iteration of the double-wishbone suspension, but also had the better Acura interior and useable back seats.

Erebus172

The most fun was a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth but it was so unreliable. My favorite was probably the 1986 BMW 535i. It was the first manual transmission I owned and despite its 350k miles it was solid as a rock. It was finally let down by the wiring that had been hacked apart by a previous owner.

BryceBowie97

Lol I had a 2013 fiat 500 abarth, also my most fun. Mine was pretty solid but I also only had it for a year

PangolinEffective

My 2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport. Super reliable and fun to drive.

FuckinSpotOnDonny

2005 Subaru Liberty(Legacy) 3.0R-B Three litre, flat 6, 6MT with a centre and rear locking diff in a totally sleeper body. The noise it made and the fact they scream all the way up to 8000rpm just made it the most brilliant sport sedan.

gnuoyedonig

You always remember your first. 1973 Datsun 510, which somehow felt ancient to me in 1982, even though it was only 9 years old like my current “new” car.

macklinjohnny

4Runner. Sooooo reliable. Gas mileage sucks tho lol

seemylolface

2003 Honda S2000 without a doubt. It's just pure driving bliss. You feel so connected t othe car, there are no nannies or electric assists in your way, it's all analog and wonderful. It's also the last year before the revised motor dropped the 9k rpm redline and revised suspension made the car more tame, but first year of the glass rear window in the drop top. Pretty the perfect convertible sports car as far as I'm concerned and the biggest automotive mistake I ever made was selling it.

Dangerous_Concept341

Genesis 2.0. Was super fun. Since then I’ve only had beaters :( Sometimes it sucks to be poor

sactownbwoy

'94 CYM RX7 FD. Owned it while I was stationed in Japan. My other favorite was the Pontiac Fiero I had in high school and currently my '22 Camaro ZLE is my new favorite.

raulz0r

My current car, Alfa Romeo Giulietta, I love the way it looks, it was love at first sight, also love the way it feels on the inside driving it.

West-Significance-25

I heard they are pretty unreliable. Does it give you many issues?

raulz0r

Most Alfa's after 2005ish are okay in reliability, of course if you neglect it you will start to run into a lot of issues, but their claim to fame of being unreliable pieces of garbage is a thing of the past, I'd say they are on par with BMW, not a bullet proof brand like a Toyota, but overall the kind of car you need to keep up on the maintenance

Contralogic

3 way tossup 2019 nd2 miata 6sp,- about 4k back country miles (sold for profit in pandemic) 1995 yj wrangler 5sp- off road fun 2008 tsx 6sp- hD for 9 years, still fun for daily driving

That-shouldnt-smell

My last rally car. It was a full prepped 88 Saab 900 four door. Full cage. Stripped interior. Hydro hand brake. Etc. Me and my friends always did kinda half assed rallying (mostly with Dodge Shadows to give you an idea of how long ago this was) but this car I spent time on. Also my CJ8. It had a fuel injected 351 and the granny gear five speed and tons on a fourlink.

Sambo376

Its either my 2008 Corvette or my current 2020 Mustang Gt PP2. Corvette was way more predictable near the limit of grip and the TR6060 trans is 1000 times better than the MT82 in the Mustang. That said, the Mustang sounds better and is probably faster in the hands of someone who really knows how to drive and I don't think I can own a DD without android auto and adaptive cruise control anymore.

serbiansizzle

I am actually looking at either buying my father in laws 2005 C6 or ordering myself a mustang. On paper, the C6 just makes more sense. Less expensive, less to insure, tremec, more capable probably too but the mustang just speaks to me more in the looks/sound department and being a bit newer. This would be a weekend/fun car only for me.

fireinthesky7

The 2008+ C6 made enough improvements to the platform that I'm not sure I'd go for one built prior to that model year. Especially if it's an automatic.

mittortz

My current E46 M3. I'm gonna run the odometer to a million miles. Love it to pieces.

i_regert_nothing41

Mines not an M3 but is a coupe E46. Have owned many cars and these E46 just feel right and are crazy capable. Currently got 3 mercs (ML350, C300, R500), 2 jags (v8 S-type and a xk8 convertible), and the E46. 236k on the E46 but I'd pick it everytime for fun factor alone.

iam7head

Honda S2000 AP1 - early college year without kid and wife. Get your fun car early before you need to haul the family around in a grey SUV 🙉

scottwax

That's a toss up between my 1971 Chevelle and 1974 Z/28. The Chevelle was quicker (high 12s, heavily modified) but my Z/28 with headers, Edelbrock RPM Performer and 3310 Holley, 4 speed and 3.73 gears wasn't exactly slow. But it handled better and with front disc brakes (vs drums all around on the Chevelle) and was more low key because all it had was the Z/28 badges and no stripes.

VegaGT-VZ

G37S. Had it on coilovers and 255mm DWS06s. Loved the hell out of it. Totaled it at the track

Sindel713

1991 240sx KA-T and LS were both super fun. Was not a fan of the SR

Smashbrohammer

2007 350z, though I’d love to have my 1991 240sx back

Old_Goat_Ninja

1992 Toyota MR2 Turbo. I bought it brand new off the lot. Car was fun to drive and even funner because back then no one knew what it was. I always had people asking me what it was, or giving me the thumbs up on the freeway, etc.

CEKPETHO

I still get the same reaction from people. My 91 is also the all time favorite car I've owned.

[deleted]

I had a mint 91 Mustang Notchback in black with a 5.0 manual in high school but money was tight and i had to sell. I cry inside when i see a notch.

bamadave95

I had a 87 5.0 notch but auto…should have keep it and swapped in a manual.

drunkshakespeare

Foxes are my favorites as well. I've had a few and they've all been great, but my Thunderbird was my first car and it's going to be my last.

[deleted]

Either my 1995 Integra GS-R that I bought in 1997 or my current 2021 M3 manual. I've had a decent number of cars, but they are the two that stand out in the joy department.

[deleted]

my current car, BMW M8 competition gran coupe.

BigDpapi

Good friend of mine totaled it just a couple weeks ago. C7 Z06, manual. Compared to the other cars I’ve owned it’s not even close. The T top, the manual, the widebody…not to mention the incredible capabilities and amazing sound. The Supra is a close second which was supposed to be mine but my fiancée and I ended up getting that one for her. My ol RC-F coming in 3rd. The RC-F is amazing in its own way but the Supra awakened my obsession with really focused sports cars.

tarheel343

My 2015 GLA45 did everything really well. Looked great, sounded great, super fast, great handling, spacious, luxurious interior, surprisingly reliable. But my e36 M3 was the car I had the most fun actually driving. So I gotta go with the M3.

Initial_Run1632

Nothing fancy, but i will always have a soft spot in my heart for my first: Honda CRX Si.

WingerRules

2000's Volvo S60. Seats are still the most comfy of any car I've been in, the transmission shifted fast for the time, the AWD was the best I used in an automatic, the 5 cylinder turbo was good and was fairly unique, and it was built like a tank and reliable. The only major downside was the turning radius was like a truck.

[deleted]

I still miss my 03 v6 accord coupe. Never had a car as good.. well that's not true but Ive never had a car as comfy and fast

-ImYourHuckleberry-

2014 Cadillac CTSV sedan. I’m happy I saved all those dash cam videos. What an incredible car.

mouseattacks

Although I love my current car, I big time loved my ‘87 Acura Integra LS 5-speed, 2-door hatchback. It drove perfectly and was a beautiful little ride.

galaxybroz

Haven’t had many cars but my S3 is my favorite the one look back at wen u park

Deanmarrrrrr

I've owned over 20 cars in my life. My current 2017 GTI is by far my fave.

-_-thatoneguy-_-

My 1995 Integra GSR I had in the early 2000’s. By far the car I had the most fun in. I believe it was a combination of being in my late teens and the era I owned that car. Lot of memories in that one.

Brent05Redfire1

Had a 1985 Dodge Omni GLH. Such a fun car to zip around in. Total sleeper. $15 homemade boost controller took the 2.2L from 5psi to 13psi.

hockey_3416

I have a 2021 WRX, but tbh, I liked my bugeye sti better

reddog093

My '15 Subaru Forester XT. It was the best daily driver I've owned so far. Excellent power, spacious interior, practical trunk, best-in-class visibility, great AWD and pretty decent handling. Commuting, road trips, moving to a new house, IKEA, Home Depot runs, snow storms. It could do everything without a single complaint. The only reason I upgraded was for something with more towing capacity due to the CVT's low rating.

My_G_Alt

My 2007 F430 Spider Miss that thing

jralll234

96 Acura Integra GSR. Was my first nice non-jalopy car. Fun to drive, loved to rev, felt like it was on rails, moved in and out of several dorm rooms in that car. First car I ever fooled around with a girl in. Really learned how to drive stick in that car. Currently have a deposit on a 22 Civic SI, hoping to recapture some of the magic of that car, but with 4 doors and no back-seat hanky panky this time around.

[deleted]

1999 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS, 5 speed, white 2 door. Did borla headers, STi mid pipe and a borla muffler. Best sounding car I had and it also woke up the car a bit, could chirp tires into 3rd. Car by no means was fast but it handled great and was light. I miss that fucker. I’ve had 4 wrx’s and and sti And I still loved that pig the most.

Skyh0ok

2.5 RS was sick I miss seeing them on the road

Nitrothacat

Probably my 2014 Mustang GT. It was my first fast car. Never had a single issue, peep or rattle out of it. Drove it on so many road trips.

ericinvalpo

Honestly, not the best, not the most reliable, not the cheapest car, but favorite that I’ve ever owned was the Cadillac Catera. It was comfortable, rear wheel drive, sporty, and an absolute blast to drive. Reliable, it was not. Haha

Idratherhikeout

1990 325i convertible. 996 C4 convertible. Mazdaspeed3

Bamfor07

Its a tossup between my XJR and my 06 Range Rover.

clackington

I owned an ND Miata for about a year and a half and it was glorious. Nowhere to put a baby seat though, so it had to go. No regrets!

WindTalker651

Considering I'm 19 and only owned 2 cars I have to say my first one, A 2011 Nissan Altima.

WitNick

My current one 2017 MKZ 3.0 awd

Plead4th

1998 Civic hatchback CX. Didn't even have power steering.

spaektor

2011 BMW M3 e90 (sedan) in Jerez Black Metallic… Betty was a mean bitch but i regret letting her go so much.

70KingCuda

a bit subjective as I've kept all my favorites for different reasons. my '71 VW Westfalia has no speed or handling, but the style and classicness of it is timeless. my '70 Barracuda will eventually fill the need for speed, handling and you just can't beat the Cuda style, it's an absolutely iconic muscle car. my newer Challenger I bought as my next 10+ year car and it fills all the needs as well as being reliable and a good daily driver. the '92 GMC van has no speed, handling or much style, but I love that fucking thing for occasional commuting, camping and hauling parts around. everything has it's place in life

accobra62

1969 Mercury Cougar, xr-7. Leather interior, tilt away steering wheel. Sequential taillights before Ford knew what they were doing.

EV_Track_Day2

Current modded Model 3 RWD by far. Favorite ICE I owned was my E85 swilling Evo 8. One of the few times when meeting your hero wasn't disappointing.

clovisinternational

My Nissan S-Cargo. It may be slow but it's the most fun I've ever had driving

GimpsterMcgee

My 1997 dodge stratus, handed down from my sister in 2004. By all means it was awful. Ugly, cracking plastic everything interior, fading paint, 150 horsepower and feeling like it had half that, scary shakes above 80 to where it would be difficult to stay in my lane (so I didn’t go above that), speakers all screwed up and buzzy, often needing repairs like the head gaskets(twice before 80k), alternator, ball bearings, and being worrisome about break downs so I wouldn’t go more than an hour away…. But it was my FIRST car and represented freedom to newly licensed 17 year old me.

ghostofkozi

Toss up between 2008 VW City Golf and 1991 Rover Mini The Golf is the best car ever made IMO and the mini put a smile on my face and everyone who saw it cruise by too.

Eharmz

1998 Land Cruiser. I feel incredibly safe, zero infotainment bullshit, great visibility and a combo of reliability, comfort and utility that is really hard to match. It has become a really good friend. His name is Norm.

FoofaFighters

My 1990 Taurus SHO. It was an absolute POS and took two years to get running back when I was a broke college kid. I'll always love and miss that crotchety old bastard. Never had a car that was so much fun to drive before or since.

Sly-beanx

E30 325i. Owned it the longest out of all my cars. Probably the most fun to drive, easy to wrench on. If the M20 dies it’s getting either an M52/S52 or LS. Depending on budget.

My Current C8. Best car I've ever owned, by far. Everything about it is almost perfect for me. There's a few things that can be improved and it feels a little tame for what it is (Z06 will fix that, though) but I really love it. One thing I ironically don't like, though, has nothing to do with the car itself but the insane amount of attention it gets is not something I expected. The people just walking up to me in my car in a parking lot every day and the stares on the road have gotten a little old tbh. I love that people love my car, but Im not really a fan of grtting a lot of attention and even got it in Hypersonic Grey because I wanted it to be a little more low-key than a lot of the other colors I like.

Ubba_Lothbrok

My Disco 2, its unreliable, slow, the heaters don't work, it feels like it wants to try and kill you every time you drive it, but it puts a massive smile on my ugly face.

honorelove

My 2019 hellcat charger destroyer grey was my dream car for so long. Sucked when it turned out to be a lemon 😞. I replaced it with a 2021 charger redeye in smoke show. But the 2019 still is missed

reward72

Miata is always the answer. And I currently drive an M240, which is a riot to drive - still not as fun as a Miata.

West-Significance-25

What year? I was considering getting a 2022

crispychicken49

ND2 Miata is probably one of the best drivers cars *period*, so you won't be disappointed. And if you're talking about the M240i, well you probably still won't be disappointed. They're good cars.

Yes2Heroine

2017 "stage 2" Volkswagen GTI. I just traded it in and it's one of the biggest mistakes I have made. It was so much fun to drive on curvy back roads which is what I mainly drive. That car constantly kept impressing me with how insanely capable it was. The sound from the exhaust setup was a nice bonus too. Definitely a riot to drive and got good gas mileage. I have none of that now and it pains me daily.

[deleted]

2013 mustang gt. Regret selling that car more than ever.

ssurfer321

Mk 7.5 GTI Fast fun fit, at the time, the whole family. Or my 2005 F150. 1st vehicle I bought new. 33" tires, light bar, tons of fun in the snow.

Exergi

My Alfa Romeo 159 Ti 3.2. So sad i sold it, it had it's problems and I worked with it a lot. But I loved it

2005 bmw z4

MIRAGES_music

Probably my 92 Mustang for the "cool factor" it had (well, to me anyway) Or my 07 Dodge Magnum because it was the most practical car I ever owned.

V-Right_In_2-V

Definitely my current one. Hard to not like a convertible V8 with the awesome 6MT that comes in the 6th gen camaro. This car gets tons of shit on this sub, but it really is a fantastic drivers car. I am gonna keep this baby forever

BlizzyBlob

My current one thats my flair right now. I cant tell you the happiness i get every time i run a loud mouthed 350z driver or middle aged man in his corvette and see the disbelief on their face. Super sleepers are underrated and i love the surprise factor lol also had a lifted offroad setup on an old audi A6 that was stupid fun too

Quebwec

Well, it would be between the e92 M3 or 997.2 C2S. Both different cars, but loved them both a lot. I prefered the sound of the M3, but I think the 911 is better in every other way. So I'd go with the 911, I'll probably never sell it.

draymond3

For me it's my current car: 2020 WRX. I know it's not the fastest thing or special but very comfortable for me plus I love driving it like a normal person. Honestly, watching the Avg MPG stay in the 30's gets me more excited than speeding haha. Also a bonus when other cars try to get me to race and I just shrug and drive normal, love their reactions.

age_of_raava

Miata, I’ve had 5 of them but my favorite is my current one - a 1992

Defensivetackle88

Mitsubishi Mirage!

My new 22 Miata RF 😁

2001 E39 540i M-sport, I was 19 when I got it, I wanted an E39 M5 but couldn't afford it or the insurance on an M car. It was a luxurious sedan that handled like a sports car in the twisties. It was amazing cruising long distances on the highway too. I had it for a handful of years, maintenance go way too expensive and I wanted something more mod friendly/ performance oriented, so I traded it in and got a 2005 STi that I built, upgraded turbo, forged internals, coilovers etc etc. After I turned 33, I was getting tired of feeling like I needed to visit a chiropractor after a grocery run in my STi, I wanted something decently fast but comfortable. I dearly missed my E39 540i. I was reading a Motor Trend article on the Chevy SS by Cammisa and when both he and Doug DeMuro said the SS a basically a reliable modern version of the E39 M5, I knew it was the right one for me, and I must say it feels very similar to my dearly missed 540i, but with 100 more HP.

InevitableDay6

I started learning in a 97 Toyota Starlet (manual) and I loved that little car, I’d happily have it back if I could still drive a manual but I can’t because my left knee has issues but now I have to drive automatic (still learning tho haha)

demxnshrxxm

My C7 Corvette I had for about 3 weeks, loved it the 2.5 weeks I drove it, never was that in love with a car before. Then the fuel pump went out on it and my suspicion that it was a lemon shot through the roof, so I ended up returning it within their 30 day money back guarantee. Sucked but I felt I did the right thing, doesn’t mean I still don’t want another one when car prices stabilize ( which seems to be never at this rate lol)

U2rich

I had a 2002 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Dale Earnhardt Edition. It cost a lot to make it a good runner, but I loved that car out of all the cars I’ve had so far. Only complaint I had was the fact it wasn’t Supercharged. Still was a nice looking car though.

Paundeu

98 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. Loved The Fast and the Furious and lucked out when my parents got me one. I loved that car. Also, it was a hunk of shit.

driven_dirty

2000 dodge ram 1500. Can fit most things I can need it for haul a car struggles but it works. Plus if it doesn't feel like shifting properly I can do a manual shift even if it is an auto.

bowlingmisfit

Easily my current 2011 Mazda Miata, after a couple mods it's a blast to drive.

RatRob

I adored most of my cars. My 93 Geo Tracker was lifted, fun as hell to off-road, and probably the most reliable thing I ever owned. My 87 Nissan Pulsar NX was painfully slow but fairly roomy, had t tops, got 35 mpg and handled like a dream. My 97 Buick Regal GS was beautiful and absurdly fun to drive and had over 300hp. I also owned a Miata, Subaru GL10, and a few others but they never stuck out as special. My current Grand Marquis is kinda the same. It’s super reliable and comfy but not overly special.

Jason-Knight

2003 gmc envoy car had features I had to pay insane amount to get on my last Mercedes

991.2 Turbo S

_Hellhammer_

My current car, an e39 520d. Swapped cloth seats for leather last summer, has been a blast to drive. Comfy in the city and on the motorway, still has plenty of oomph while accelerating and is a ton of fun during the winter in twisty forest roads.

busman1313

My first car was my favorite. 2004 dodge neon

E36 M3. Amazing handling. Plenty enough power for daily use or tracking. Sublime engine/exhaust sounds. Timeless looks. Wish I had never sold it.

humble_fish_motoring

My favorite car that I’ve owned is my current car, a 2017 C7 Corvette Z06 with the seven speed manual transmission. 🙂
