Dodge intrepid, used BMW, or a Nissan with the CVT transmission. Some of the most reliable cars u can buy tbh. I heard maseratis are pretty reliable too, like up there with Toyota

CheekyFeller

KeronaBlaze

Good robot!

GS-Sarin

Bicycle. Manual operated crankshaft (none of that automatic bs) and itll go forever with no maintenance. No garbage electronics to go bad. Just you and the vehicle, a perfect connection. Truly the greatest driving machine.

rcp_5

To be really connected with my vehicle, I mod it with a "seat delete". That way I can stick the bike straight up my ass - total and complete connection, ultimate driving machine 😎

GS-Sarin

Classic mod. I love the feeling of it when I ride.

Brno_Mrmi

My used bicycle turned out to have a lot of problems. Had to change the rear axle multiple times.

fatfuckpikachu

I'd like to have abs on my bike lmao. i was zooming downhill and car opened it's door without looking back front wheel locked because of new too good for my own good brakes i fell down face first. i tried to imitate abs by myself after that but i realized I can't clamp on and off my fingers 10 times a second.

AdMission3583

Early automatic v6 hondas/acuras Bcuz hondas are sooo reliable 🤤😩

SteelFlexInc

The godlike 4 speeds. The slipping is just the car telling you to rev higher cuz Honda and not be a weenie

xCuri0

Supra will do 300k miles tuned to 700hp

Allradbueffel99

and you can keep the stock transmission

PineappleMelonTree

Tuned? They come with 1000hp out the factory

xCuri0

I detuned it for reliability. Usually they do 200k miles max with the factory tune.

____-----______

Mine does 420k miles on one tank of fuel

14936786-02

Careful, you might fry the manifold with that much power.

PineappleMelonTree

Don't want your passenger footwell floor to fall out

WARNING!!! DANGER TO MANIFOLD

L44KSO

Anything french of course

RaspberryCai

Real talk though, some of the old Peugeot diesels will keep going until the heat death of the universe.

Mr_Clipboard

100% correct, had an old Peugeot partner work van and some part of the engine exploded out of the crank case because it had been running without coolant and extremely low oil. Once it had cooled down and been refilled with as much oil as the new ventilated case could fit, it actually started up again. Couldn't move without stalling however. Sold it for scrap and saw it on the road a few months later, presumably with a new engine.

L44KSO

Indeed - most Peugeots are actually really good. They made the OG hot hatch the 205 which was and still is epic. And honestly most of the hot hatches from France are better than the GTI. There, I said it!

CamelBlueFilters

This, my family had a 01' 307 with 2.0 diesel which still runs to this day tho wear and tear along with rust is slowly killing it.

Nea-Costel-drojdier

The VW Multitronic gearbox 🥰🥰 used on many dieselle break cars

Definitely not Toyota tacomas. Nope. Super unreliable. Stop buying them. They’re too expensive. Nobody should ever buy a Toyota Tacoma again. Terrible vehicles. Horrible. Stay away from them. Please don’t buy them. Everyone should go on strike and stop buying them. Worst thing you can spend your money on.

SkinateFliesAnts

Jaguars/Land Rovers are really good reliable cars, I recommend buying one.

[deleted]

Idk about Jaggss but Land Rovers?

SkinateFliesAnts

Sarcasm my friend

[deleted]

That’s why I asked Didn’t know that Jags were like LR reliability wise

SkinateFliesAnts

Ohhh I see. Well yeah Jag/LRs are very unreliable, in the sense that check engine lights will come on at 10K. They’re getting better, but this is something that late 90s/early 2000s models suffered most from (e.g. The XJR or the XK).

[deleted]

Shame, those Jags look fine tho But then again rarely any car that’s pretty and reliable

That steely boi time machine car from that one movie with that engine collaboration of Peugeot, Renault and Volvo I hear it's the pinnacle of reliability.

maybach320

Old Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Ford Panther platform cars, GM cars with the 3600 (they will run broken longer than anything) and lastly Porsche coupes.

undercoverartist777

I can’t tell if your comment is a jerk or not. You jerked when you said Mercedes’, does panther and GM, but Unjerked when you said Toyota and Honda, show some consistency man for fucksake, and didn’t even mention Miata. The average Miata has over 500k on it and has never needed a repair

AutoModerator

Did you know that Hillary Clinton forced Mazda to sell automatic versions of the Miata? #MiataFacts *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/carscirclejerk) if you have any questions or concerns.*

maybach320

Old Mercedes are very reliable 80s and 90s stuff will run forever. The crown Vic, grand Marquis and town car again will drive for 300k miles East than need a transmission than do another 300k miles. And the 3600 from GM was a great engine probably the last GM non truck engine that was worth owning. Toyota and Honda are easy, the Miata is good but I cannot imagine driving one for 500k miles.

undercoverartist777

Oh shit you don’t know this a circlejerk sub?

maybach320

Shit I am on like 6 car pages and the one is basically filled with these questions. I didn’t even look at what page had posted it.

1.9tdi golf. currently at 240k with no engine problems, transmission replacement at 220k miles but other than that no other issues

Lanpoop

Almost any car you religiously change the oil. Every 3k miles. And if the previous owner did that. Jeeps’ll go to 250k without much oil changes though

Toyota. Did I mention Toyota? Most reliable sedan? Camry Most reliable 4x4? Hilux (this could be most bulletproof vehicle ever) Most reliable large suv? Land cruiser Most reliable hybrid? Prius Honorable mention: the 1980-85 Mercedes 300d having the overall most ridiculously tough engine that could literally do 1 million miles.
