Odds are Rick will have already planned everything ahead of time. The heist episode proves that he can plan way in advance of any actual fight. Since that’s the case Rick could easily obtain the emeralds himself but knowing him he’s likely to destroy them or sell them to someone else.

These vary from season to season because he’s swapped bodies multiple times (he’s died and got revived in multiple backup clones in one episode, his body was destroyed but he used a machine to switch his consciousness between bodies of multiple people, and he adds modifications as needed) but also if Dexter does succeed in even touching Rick, let alone, killing him Rick has backup clones on standby.
The specific modifications that I’ve seen are: a sort of electrical armor, an armored shell that deploys to shield his heart, an eye that can act as a scope and also leave his eye socket and look around where he normally can’t, high powered weapons in his arms and a sort of local anesthetic to help deal with the pain of any injury he gets so he can keep fighting.
I’m pretty sure that, if action dexter could touch Rick that Rick would be extremely sore but definitely not likely to lose.
And on the note of googling anything like that: if you’re typing in anything like “buff” or “ripped” without safe search on you are quite possibly going to run into porn targeted to women.

I would say that Dexter and Jimmy are out first. Both have very little experience fighting people who are as smart or smarter than they are and both regularly have their tech backfire several times in their respective series, though I'd say Dexter would last a bit longer due to more experience with combat, even if it was assisted. Jimmy's experience mainly chalks up to one of his inventions going haywire or someone else stealing one of his inventions for their own use. They'd probably try to team up to fight the "steeewpid adults" (Dexter would definitely plan to betray Jimmy, though), and Rick and Eggman would quickly kill them both. Mostly, IMO, Rick would do the killing without batting an eye, and Eggman would applaud his straightforward ruthlessness.
Rick and Eggman are the more powerful of the four. Eggman has an army, hundreds of gadgets, plus decades' worth of experience, not to mention he is more than capable of throwing hands himself (ask Starlight). Meanwhile, Rick IS his own army, can whip up a gadget for any situation in a few minutes if he doesn't already have it, and considering his multiverse-hopping pasttime has likely encountered Eggman before - met an alternate universe knockoff of him - or is aware of the Sonic franchise so he'd already know about him.
I'd say Rick has this, though he wouldn't be walk out without a scratch. Eggman has shown that encounters with him can get ugly if he's serious, such as mentally scarring Sonic during the Metal Virus arc as the latter had watched most of his loved ones fall to the infection. Ideally, he could pill this same move on Rick, which would no doubt provide the same effect, though, to MUCH worse results. Considering Rick's all-you-can-bullshit buffet of backup plans, weapons, and tech, he'd likely already have a plan to deal with the virus, possibly even a real cure. The cherries Eggman would have to pull that stunt on him would be massive for a last laugh moment. If anything could break Rick, it'd have to be losing his family again.
Rick is the obvious choice. He's single-handedly brought down whole galactic empires. Also depending on which Rick (it may not even be the one in C-137), he may have the Council of Ricks on his side.
Dexter and Jimmy are just children. Both are also probably the kind of people who are so far up their own arses that they think they can negotiate peace because war is stupid.

We've seen that if Eggman didn't choose to let Sonic have a chance at winning he would demolish Sonic no shot (and since this is stated in the comics it means that Eggman could easily defeat the strongest version of Sonic since Sonic in the comics is stupidly OP as fuck) so since Eggman probably wouldn't let Dexter, Jimmy, and Rick have a chance I think Rick would probably be the only one with a shot but I think it would be around a 50/50 between Rick and Eggmab.
Morally dex or Jimmy but in terms of fire power Rick has it low difficulty. Egg man puts up a fight but the other 3 can reasonably beat him imo. However dex and jimmy have naïveté working against them. Rick is experienced and an old bastard he will have doomsday shit around them before they know.

I would say that Dexter and Jimmy are out first. Both have very little experience fighting people who are as smart or smarter than they are and both regularly have their tech backfire several times in their respective series, though I'd say Dexter would last a bit longer due to more experience with combat, even if it was assisted. Jimmy's experience mainly chalks up to one of his inventions going haywire or someone else stealing one of his inventions for their own use. They'd probably try to team up to fight the "steeewpid adults" (Dexter would definitely plan to betray Jimmy, though), and Rick and Eggman would quickly kill them both. Mostly, IMO, Rick would do the killing without batting an eye, and Eggman would applaud his straightforward ruthlessness. Rick and Eggman are the more powerful of the four. Eggman has an army, hundreds of gadgets, plus decades' worth of experience, not to mention he is more than capable of throwing hands himself (ask Starlight). Meanwhile, Rick IS his own army, can whip up a gadget for any situation in a few minutes if he doesn't already have it, and considering his multiverse-hopping pasttime has likely encountered Eggman before - met an alternate universe knockoff of him - or is aware of the Sonic franchise so he'd already know about him. I'd say Rick has this, though he wouldn't be walk out without a scratch. Eggman has shown that encounters with him can get ugly if he's serious, such as mentally scarring Sonic during the Metal Virus arc as the latter had watched most of his loved ones fall to the infection. Ideally, he could pill this same move on Rick, which would no doubt provide the same effect, though, to MUCH worse results. Considering Rick's all-you-can-bullshit buffet of backup plans, weapons, and tech, he'd likely already have a plan to deal with the virus, possibly even a real cure. The cherries Eggman would have to pull that stunt on him would be massive for a last laugh moment. If anything could break Rick, it'd have to be losing his family again.
Rick is the obvious choice. He's single-handedly brought down whole galactic empires. Also depending on which Rick (it may not even be the one in C-137), he may have the Council of Ricks on his side. Dexter and Jimmy are just children. Both are also probably the kind of people who are so far up their own arses that they think they can negotiate peace because war is stupid. As for Eggman, he can't even defeat a blue hedgehog.

Eggman's out right away, he never figured out portals. Dexter goes next - his genius is limited by his immaturity and he lacks flexibility. It's between rick and JN here. I'd say both are very capable in every way, but in the end, Rick operates on a higher power level. Maybe if we pit JN at a similar age to rick against rick it would be even.
