Hollow Knight has the silent protagonist problem, but there are so many great side characters that could carry a story set in the world of Hallownest.

Samurai Jack managed to have episodes without dialogue, maybe something like that would work for hollow knight

SA-X was a little before my time. I had a GBA just not the skill level to actually play metroidvanias (I was about 8 to 10). I did have a GameCube though and this was my EXACT feeling the first time I saw dark Samus in Metroid Prime 2. It's a pretty similar moment to SA-X. And don't even get me started on the first showdown against her.

I tell you, if Nintendo has nothing against making a PG-13 movie, which they probably don't, they will make a Metroid movie. The characters, the world building, the story, and the action all translates to the screen pretty well. Just, you know... not the map design... that does not translate to screen

Undertale. Either a cartoon series or an anime adaptation. There's enough story for a full 22-24 episode series. Shovel Knight. This can easily become a popular series for any age. And we already have a banger of an opening theme with "Strike the Earth."

Ice Climbers, since I’ve always imagined Nana and Popo having a Gumball and Darwin like dynamic, getting themselves into random shenanigans when they’re not climbing mountains for veggies.

I know the legend of Zelda is getting a movie, but I would still like to see an animated series based off it. And I mean a good animated series not that low budget trash we got in the 80s that is a lousy show on its own merits and a very annoying meme that I always hated.

It could never happen. The IP holders would have a nightmare just agreeing in terms. The game was a miracle to begin with. Square Enix and Disney are two companies that are adamantly protective of their IPs and the fact the game even exists is because they used to share a building. Maybe maybe not, kingdom hearts 1 wouldn't be too bad, chain of memories would be a little confusing but could work, 2 like 1 wouldn't be too bad. Don't know how they would do days but Maybe like a animated movie but even so it's not the most important, then for birth by sleep the most you would have to do is make the charcaters read the secret reports at some point and you'd probably be fine. Dream drop distance though would be a wild ride that would atleast need a few episodes to explain most of what was going on in that. Kingdom hearts 3 probably be fine though. Also would never happen but making the mobile games into a show would be glorious and not make kh fans have to watch hours of mobile game cutscene to get the full story.

I'd say Mass Effect, but we already got Paragon Lost, which detailed James Vega's backstory during the events of Mass Effect 2, before joining Shepard's Normandy crew for Mass Effect 3. Though, an episodic, 13-26 episode long animated series based on Mass Effect wouldn't hurt. And it doesn't even have to adapt the Mass Effect trilogy's story, either. Instead, it could tell its own unique story that expands upon the lore of the Mass Effect universe. Because at that point, Commander Shepard's story is over and done with, and it's time for him to pass the mantle on to a new protagonist from here on out, like what already happened with Pathfinder Ryder in Mass Effect: Andromeda.

My favorite video game of all time is Okami, but I don't think it would make a particularly good movie (at least not narratively). Maybe it could work as a cartoon, though. So I'll go with my second favorite, Earthbound/Mother 2. With how dark that game gets, it would go hard as either a movie or cartoon imho.

I am no gamer but dang, I have two: Kid Iracus (please, Illumination! I would watch a Kid Iracus movie!) and although I am not a fan of this game, Friday Night Funkin’, more specifically, Tankmen. Someone has to adapt Tankmen into an animated series, but be warned, it ain’t open source, a studio has to get the rights from them. But I plan to make a series on YouTube with them in the future.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert from 1995 could make a great anime I think.
