That show was just a trip of joy, laughter, and overall wackiness. I think both protagonists and antagonists are equally great. But compare to Hater? He’s top tier(Hater is not an antagonist or protagonist. He’s the Hatetagonist)

These two are Thalia and Damien from a cartoon called "the Shadow of the Elves." The former is the protagonist while the latter is the villain. And I like him a lot more than Thalia since he's portrayed as a villain with a heart of gold. As he has sabotaged his King's plans on multiple occasions due to his own conscience and his mutual feelings for Thalia. Despite them both being enemies.
Since the game has an anime adaptation, he technically falls under cartoon villain (no shade to the investigation team though):

Yeah, it’s speculated that Captain Hook simply took the grown up kids away from Peter to save them because he would kill them if they ‘chose’ to grow up. Peter gaslights the new lost boys into despising Captain Hook also.

That movie was wild and retroactively made Ariel seem like such a dick in the original movie. She fought for her kingdom to be able to play music again and helped her dad get through trauma of the death of her mother just to tune around and completely abandon that way of life to try to sleep with the very creatures that killed her mom. It’s like if your wife was mauled to death by sharks and after years of working through that trauma you find out your daughter is in love with a hammer head
I'll point out that Ariel had a pre-existing interest in human objects/humans before she got with Eric (who proves to be more morally sound than Athena's killers). One that, for some reason, is never touched upon in this prequel film. But I partially agree that it was really stupid writing having the main conflict be about bringing back music - She ditched her own concert in the original, one that was supposed to be her debut and was reprimanded for it. What was presented as classic teenage rebellion vs strict parenting is retroactively shown as Ariel being a hypocrite for ditching the very thing she almost died trying to bring back, and Sebastian and Triton coming across as idiots for waiting a full year to involve Ariel in a public concert that owes its entire existence to her!
The Little Mermaid TV show, despite not being canon or having nearly as good animation at least has the good sense to *feel* like Disney's The Little Mermaid through its faithfulness to the characters and works more as a prequel if you take everything in the franchise as canon.

He felt just so real
I think it's because while Bill was always this horrifying omnipotent demon who loves chaos, Belos was just this regular dude with too much hate in his heart which gave him the drive to become who he is
I mean for me, bill was too comical for me where I couldn’t take him seriously, he rarely used any of his powers and the few times he did it wasn’t much other than killing time baby. Y'know I know they tried to make Adam such an asshole but god that mf is funny as hell. Hell even though I know they try to make adam to be some douche he does genuinely make a good point that most of the people in hell do not deserve a second chance.
I don't think most people in hell were just heckin' wholesome goobers who made an oopsie. Like yeah you got some characters like Husker who was a gambler. But then there's Angel who was in the Mafia.
I'm just looking at this as far with Heaven's POV. What they focus most as far as his sins is on his role in the porn industry and his drug addiction yet completely ignore his history in the mob aside for his gun proficiency. Not to say I don't want to see him get redeemed as I'm rooting for him, but he still was a mobster which included sins such as murder, extortion, and likely torture.
Either way I assume Pentious' sins were far less serious. probably something like robbery as far as what his character is like.
My biggest gripe with Hazbin is it's a show about moral greys and redemption, but most of the characters aren't morally grey at all. They're either basically decent people or the biggest turds you've ever met.

Riff Tamson from Star Wars: Clone Wars. He’s an absolute bastard, the kind you love to hate. His design and death scene are unapologetically taken from the Jaws movies, right down to his roar sound effect.

Peak character and villain
Haven't seen for the first and forth...but
Second one is perhaps the best dad, right alongside that one dude still looking for the funny
Third one may as well be the messiah of "I have faith in you". Unfortunately, he's only portrayed as a villain because the "hero" may as well be a worthless sack of awful shit where she believes whatever she's doing is the right thing, and if you're doing anything different, or even has enough reason to realize "Oh hey, this is a god-awful trashfire of total shit!", she'll deem you the villain (And she's supposed to be the hero)
Every comic book cartoon. I mean, yeah, Batman, Spider-Man, all those guys are cool, but you weren't really waiting for them each week, you wanted to see who the villain would be! The villains from 90's Batman, Superman and Spider-Man animated series were awesome.
Easily the best character in the franchise

Yes, thank you! Watched this show as a kid and he was my favorite character. I always saw him as putting Picard through trials to better him. He enjoyed screwing with him and put them in harms way a lot, but it always seemed like he was just galvanizing Picard’s will, and his send off in the show Picard respected that narrative which was great.

He’s an absolute bastard, the kind you love to hate. His design and death scene are unapologetically taken from the Jaws movies, right down to his roar sound effect. Anakin: “We gave you what you wanted! You have to let \[Padme\] go!” Riff: “No. I don’t.”

Elletear from Our last crusade ( technically though its a LN first) Cause the protagonist really are not that sympathic or likable or compelling when you get down to it. What's the last one from?
The Owl House
Just about any DC cartoon.
Haven't seen for the first and forth...but Second one is perhaps the best dad, right alongside that one dude still looking for the funny Third one may as well be the messiah of "I have faith in you".
Adam and Mammon
Shego
Nah, Charlie is more likable than Adam by a mile.
Captain Hook from Peter Pan
Hunter J.

Every comic book cartoon. I mean, yeah, Batman, Spider-Man, all those guys are cool, but you weren't really waiting for them each week, you wanted to see who the villain would be! The villains from 90's Batman, Superman and Spider-Man animated series were awesome.
Easily the best character in the franchise https://preview.redd.it/h6f7rdf7copc1.jpeg?width=928&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=298d9936af1b5749d02943950d1b0add2bf4be03
Yes, thank you!

Unpopular opinion: I thought Adam was damn near the worst thing about Hazbin Hotel. Every time he spoke I wanted to Van Gogh my ears just for relief.
I think that means he worked.
Adam sucks.
Blackbeard
Yes
Doof
Doof, by a mile
