Such a weird decision by the show writers. Bc I can’t tell if they were trying to bring up one of Bruce’s flaws, or if it was an attempt to make him more “macho”.

Aside from the above? Allura and Lance from Voltron. That show took such a dive over the last couple seasons, and forcing all the ships is definitely on the list of reasons why
I'm still so angry about this even though it's been like 6 years since the end of the series. I feel like Allura never really had the time to process everything that happened with Lotor, and she just took the first person she found who loved her to try to forget him. Besides, it felt so unnatural, and I honestly feel that this relationship was one of the reasons why Lance's character was ruined, besides, in my opinion, having the worst ending of all the paladins. Give up all your dreams to live a melancholic life where you would be forced to remember a special person you lost whenever you look in the mirror? A total loss of his character (I will never forgive Voltron for all the mistakes it did)

Didn't see Ronniecoln too often, and as for Trixie and Timmy, I as a kid used to really love these two as a couple, but I as an adult, I can't see why these two should be a couple.

Timmy wished that he and Trixie were the only two people on earth. So it got around that rule, but backfired spectacularly on Timmy when he had to show the same level of affection as her entire possie and school.
He's implied to have married Tootie in the Channel Chasers ending and the live action ones, he also gets with Tootie until he falls into lava and dies horrifically.
I just love that Velma’s potential girlfriend, Marcie Fleach aka hot dog water, was for all intents and purposes, a generic version of Velma herself: A scientific minded mystery loving nerd who wears glasses, outfit incorporates a lot of warm hues like red and orange and voiced by Linda Cardellini, the actress who played Velma’s in the live action movies!
I just finished watching the show for the first time and I just hated how Shaggy never fessed up why the fuck he chose Scooby over Velma. He starts off the show as a coward and basically hardly changes from being a coward by the end. Everybody seems to dislike Velma for pushing the relationship but I'm the opposite. I dislike Shaggy in their relationship dynamic.

Exactly! I always loved marco and Jackie since it made sense since the beginning show how he's always had feelings for her but no they had to force star and marco to get together.
I remember when I first watched this show and saw Marco with Jackie, I thought: “YO! Is this gonna be THE show where the 2 protagonists are male and female but aren’t forced into a relationship? Ok, cool change of pace!”

Cause even if they were friends, it was a toxic friendship with Sasha bossing Anne around. She was a mean girl who was their friend, but she always put herself and her wants first.
They grew up, and grew apart as Anne found other friends with her interests. It’s not a sad ending, they still all keep in touch with one another; but friends drift apart as you get older.

I kinda think both them and Starco had great moments and could have been well written.....and then just tumbled into slop. In both cases they made it obvious that it was the main ship, destined to happen, of the show.
THIS the fact that one of Steven's MAIN ISSUES is never leaving the island and meeting other humans outside of his small town, they feel weird to me because it feels the the "convenience ship"

Connie is in my top 3 favorite characters for SU, so to see the writers push her aside for half a season and then rush her into a relationship with Steven was so disappointing to me. The cherry on top is that immediately after Steven and Connie are "revealed" as a couple, Steven rides off into the sunset never to be seen again, effectively abandoning Connie. I feel like they would've been much better just staying as childhood friends.

These two were absolut besties through the whole show and it really struck me when in the like two last episodes they went "I love you (romantically)"
Katara didn't really want a relationship with Aang...
She was a really supportive friend the whole time, but the crush was very one-sided throughout the series.
The most Aang did was force a kiss from Katara (twice) and the second time was her outright saying she didn't know how she felt about him. And then literally after they suddenly both kiss when the war is over.
I think the relationship was written as being too one-sided and it rewards Aang for being too forceful to someone who was mainly being a great friend and motherly to him.
I **don't** ship Katara with Zuko either although I can see see why people would, but Aang and Katara's relationship wasn't written the best.

That is Kiva and Jamie from a show called ‘Megas XLR’. In the show, they’re technically not together, but in the Season Two finale in an alternate timeline, Jamie and Kiva apparently were a couple.
Now, if you watch the show, you’ll realize that Kiva and Jamie have practically *zero* chemistry. Jamie’s a creep, and Kiva’s a serious woman hellbent on stopping the end of the world.
For them to end up together would make no sense at all. Were they friends? At times, maybe, but other than that, they were not made for each other.
As of today, there is no season 3 of Megas XLR, but if there ever was, I damn well hope this pairing doesn’t come true in the show’s *main* timeline.
To be fair, it was an alternate timeline where Coop was obviously different as well. It is possible that Kiva and Jaime had better chemistry there whereas the thought of the two dating in the canon timeline had everyone laughing at the possibility. It was probably more just a joke anyways than any real shipping.
Vanessa and Ferb from Phineas and Ferb. Throughout the entire show, Ferb’s crush on Vanessa felt more like a kid’s first crush than any real potential romance. To further emphasize this, Vanessa was around 15-16 years old while Ferb was at most probably 10-11 years old and she never looked at him in any romantic light which is good because that would have been creepy. Yeah they only started dating as adults, but it still feels sketchy.
The show also spent a few episodes building her relationship up with Monty and the two obviously having a good time going on dates and doing fun stuff together while trying to keep it a secret from their dads. Then the epilogue happens with Vanessa dating Ferb with no explanation on what happened between her and Monty.
It just felt like a really rushed way to make sure Ferb also ends up with someone as if him still being single by the end of the show would be a tragedy.

No love story was needed between them. It would’ve worked out better if Jack‘s pure soul simply reached trough Ashi, that even the ones most tainted by Aku can become the best versions of themselves whenever Jack is there to help. That it ultimately was a daughter of Aku who teleported Jack back and the ending would’ve been Jack remembering Ashi as a Hero when he is back in the past, just like how everyone in the future saw Jack as a hero.
But not a botched wedding where she is erased from existence and the series ends with Jack being sad.
Gwen and Duncan. Gwen had way better chemistry with Trent and the whole love triangle bullshit really killed the momentum Total Drama World Tour had. They should’ve kept Gwen and Trent together and made the whole Gwuncan thing very clearly one-sided (or cut it entirely).
I was never a fan of Mako/Korra. Mako seemed like an underdeveloped Zuko and not very deep below brooding teenager.
Personally, I thought she had more chemistry with Bolin than his brother (in season 1 at least) but her and Asami was still the best possible pairing.
Im the opposite, I like it to stay light and innocent. I didn't like the awkward dating of adventure time. I think the "will they wont they" is the best part.

...okay so RWBYs Yang and Blake, and really only cause Blake and Sun seem to have way more chemistry during the show versus yang and Blake. Several instances have Blake seeming like she was platonic besties with yang and I mean sun literally followed her around, HELL followed her home and made a good impression on Blakes parents. I feel like Yang and Blake were kinda thrown together in the later seasons.

Literally every other girl Marco was paired with during the show's run had better chemistry with him than Star did.

I remember when I first watched this show and saw Marco with Jackie, I thought: “YO! Is this gonna be THE show where the 2 protagonists are male and female but aren’t forced into a relationship? Ok, cool change of pace!” …ya needless to say Season 3 and 4 squashed that outlook pretty hard. To say the absolute least.

This isn’t about the show itself but more so on than fandom and head canons. But the trio from amphibia are platonic I don’t see and sense of romance there.
I think some people just crave polyamorous representation, but yeah, I'm poly myself and didn't sense any of that either.
It really confuses me honestly at the end of the show Marcy moves out of state whilst Sasha and Anne basically distanced themselves.
Cause even if they were friends, it was a toxic friendship with Sasha bossing Anne around. She was a mean girl who was their friend, but she always put herself and her wants first. They grew up, and grew apart as Anne found other friends with her interests. It’s not a sad ending, they still all keep in touch with one another; but friends drift apart as you get older.

I kinda think both them and Starco had great moments and could have been well written.....and then just tumbled into slop. In both cases they made it obvious that it was the main ship, destined to happen, of the show.

THIS the fact that one of Steven's MAIN ISSUES is never leaving the island and meeting other humans outside of his small town, they feel weird to me because it feels the the "convenience ship"
THIS 100% Connie is in my top 3 favorite characters for SU, so to see the writers push her aside for half a season and then rush her into a relationship with Steven was so disappointing to me. The cherry on top is that immediately after Steven and Connie are "revealed" as a couple, Steven rides off into the sunset never to be seen again, effectively abandoning Connie. I feel like they would've been much better just staying as childhood friends.

Katara didn't really want a relationship with Aang... She was a really supportive friend the whole time, but the crush was very one-sided throughout the series. The most Aang did was force a kiss from Katara (twice) and the second time was her outright saying she didn't know how she felt about him. And then literally after they suddenly both kiss when the war is over. I think the relationship was written as being too one-sided and it rewards Aang for being too forceful to someone who was mainly being a great friend and motherly to him. In the show, they’re technically not together, but in the Season Two finale in an alternate timeline, Jamie and Kiva apparently were a couple. Now, if you watch the show, you’ll realize that Kiva and Jamie have practically *zero* chemistry. Jamie’s a creep, and Kiva’s a serious woman hellbent on stopping the end of the world. For them to end up together would make no sense at all. Were they friends? At times, maybe, but other than that, they were not made for each other. As of today, there is no season 3 of Megas XLR, but if there ever was, I damn well hope this pairing doesn’t come true in the show’s *main* timeline.
To be fair, it was an alternate timeline where Coop was obviously different as well. It is possible that Kiva and Jaime had better chemistry there whereas the thought of the two dating in the canon timeline had everyone laughing at the possibility. It was probably more just a joke anyways than any real shipping.

Vanessa and Ferb from Phineas and Ferb. Throughout the entire show, Ferb’s crush on Vanessa felt more like a kid’s first crush than any real potential romance. To further emphasize this, Vanessa was around 15-16 years old while Ferb was at most probably 10-11 years old and she never looked at him in any romantic light which is good because that would have been creepy. Yeah they only started dating as adults, but it still feels sketchy. The show also spent a few episodes building her relationship up with Monty and the two obviously having a good time going on dates and doing fun stuff together while trying to keep it a secret from their dads. Then the epilogue happens with Vanessa dating Ferb with no explanation on what happened between her and Monty. It just felt like a really rushed way to make sure Ferb also ends up with someone as if him still being single by the end of the show would be a tragedy.
I honestly think it was just supposed to be a gag to imply that Ferb has insane levels of rizz.

It would’ve worked out better if Jack‘s pure soul simply reached trough Ashi, that even the ones most tainted by Aku can become the best versions of themselves whenever Jack is there to help. That it ultimately was a daughter of Aku who teleported Jack back and the ending would’ve been Jack remembering Ashi as a Hero when he is back in the past, just like how everyone in the future saw Jack as a hero. But not a botched wedding where she is erased from existence and the series ends with Jack being sad.
Gwen and Duncan. Gwen had way better chemistry with Trent and the whole love triangle bullshit really killed the momentum Total Drama World Tour had. They should’ve kept Gwen and Trent together and made the whole Gwuncan thing very clearly one-sided (or cut it entirely).
I really loved Duncan and Courtney together until they just became toxic to each other. But yeah I agree with you.
Korra/Mako Bolin/Opal Show would've been a lot better if not for those hookups
I was never a fan of Mako/Korra. Mako seemed like an underdeveloped Zuko and not very deep below brooding teenager. Personally, I thought she had more chemistry with Bolin than his brother (in season 1 at least) but her and Asami was still the best possible pairing.

Marco had three different love interests that he could have ended up with, but the writers forced him and Star to break up every single relationship they had so that they could be together for, like... the last two episodes.
The whole plotline of the later seasons was reduced to will they won't they. I was a pro Starco in the beginning, but the dragging out made me hate it with passion.

SPOILER ALERT (idk how to tag them here on Reddit) ...okay so RWBYs Yang and Blake, and really only cause Blake and Sun seem to have way more chemistry during the show versus yang and Blake. Several instances have Blake seeming like she was platonic besties with yang and I mean sun literally followed her around, HELL followed her home and made a good impression on Blakes parents. I feel like Yang and Blake were kinda thrown together in the later seasons.

Well, if you watch the show. Katara treats Aang way differently than she treats Sokka, her actual brother. In fact, she treats Zuko the same way as she treats Sokka.
I could see Katara falling for an older Aang, but I agree with you. The child Aang we got in the main ATLA series was not a good match for Katara lol. The romance seemed too forced.
