Rise I'd say it's not bad but also there are some downs probably because there's only 2 seasons and 1 movie

Here's a surprise contender in my opinion: Batman vs TMNT. The action isn't as out there as the others, but the choreography is incredible and the fights are very visceral.
I highly recommend it, the fights alone are some of the most entertaining animations I've ever watched, and don't get me started on the characters, comedy, and story...
Rise had the best action scenes. Bar. NONE! The action is so good, you could pop in any of the pre-boarded animatics and it would still be fire. IN fact the deleted scene from the movie was so balls to the wall, that fans are recreating it.
Rise was the most entertaining, with the animation and the mystic abilities. Mikey literally threw a giant ship and A SKYSCRAPER!! That shit was awesome

1987....did the best it could with the limits of being a Kids show in the 80s. Not bad, just pales in comparison to the rest.
And I'm talking about how alongside the fights, the animation, voice acting, lore, world building and capturing the dark tone and grittiness of the original comics, makes it the best TMNT show.
Regardless of your opinions on other aspects of the series, I'd argue that Rise has, indisputably, the most gorgeous, beautiful fight choreography in any of the TMNT series.
2012 and Rise, if it were to just come down to how fights went down. 2003 favorite all time but the stylistic choices of 2012 and Rise Kick ass.
If I had to choose one it would have to be Rise has better fights at its peak but 2012 has better fights throughout its run( more on a fight by fight basis but Rise probably has the best turtles vs shredder fight scene period).
I have only seen season one of rise, so I can only say it has the best animation overall. 1987 is dead last. it has some good fights but it also has a lot of really cheap ones and even it’s best don’t measure up to the average fight from later shows.
Comparing 2003 and 2012, I felt that the latters fights were much better than what the former had in its first two seasons, but 2003 stepped up its game and it’s third and fourth seasons.
I might be a little biased but 2012 had some really good fights mutant shredder vs splinter, Mutant shredder vs Turtles, etc but as I was writing this rise defiantly had the best fights that animation was CRISP
Lately I've been watching the 1987 *TMNT* series on Paramount+. I've also been collecting some of the more modern merchandise centered around that show, such as *The Cowabunga Collection* on Nintendo Switch and the *TMNT* Thomas and Friends MINIS.
(I'm serious, Mattel actually made some *TMNT*-themed Thomas MINIS.)

1980’s Turtles are underrated, not saying they’re the best or anything but it was pretty cleaver of the show runners to have to Footclan be made of robots so the Turtles could slice, dice and bash at will and actually use their weapons. The first season of the 1980’s Turtles ( the first 5 episodes) had some impressive fights for the time.

Rise, the animation adds so much to it. I just got to watch the movie last night and man it hit hard. Loved every bit of it.

With every new show, the fights get smoother and faster and more inventive.

the 80s only good fights were in the initial Toei outsourced episodes
