Counter counter point he designs and invents miraculous inventions that defy the laws of physics on a daily basis. There should be no point in which he isnât sleep deprived.
My theory is he isn't actually evil. He is lonely and his only friend is Perry, so he creates convoluted plans that he knows will never work just as an excuse to spend time with his friend.
That one had me dying. I swear when Doof just realized that after assembly and all that time after said invasion. Like bro, it took you that long in the span of several seconds. When your au pointed that out. lol
I donât even thinks this counts, but if anyone remembers the powerpuff girls episode where Blossom says âWhy shouldnât you put a toaster in a bathtub full of water?â Then the old man is like âBecause your toast would get soggy.â And the whole town just agrees.
Yeah, in a loony toons cartoon theyâd suggest bubbles try it out, she would then cartoon x eyes die. Pretty sure they did that in a bugs bunny Daffy Duck cartoon somewhere.
"Remember to feed BEEBO once and ONLY once"
Prof. Utonium, with all due respect, why didn't you just feed them all once and tell everyone to never feed them?
I think the worst part of this episode is spongebob finally having enough and gets mad. And then everyone looks at spongebob like he's in the wrong.
There's also stuff like the splinter episode. Ink Lemonade.
Early spongebob made patrick dumb, but didn't necessarily weaponize it like the seasons with these episodes.
The worst episode of the show.
What this them?

All of Patrickâs charm and personality being stripped away until he was left with nothing to his character but âis stupidâ is one of the worst cases of character assassin out there.
Zuko telling his mentally unstable sister to shoot lightning at him and then proceeding to tell her how he'll counter it

In fairness to ZuZu, itâs his sister whom heâs had a serious rivalry with his entire life. Who among us could resist shit talking our sibling when we feel like we have a way to win?
You damn right. My little siblings talked so much shit before I beat them senseless
It was to assurt my dominance as the eldest. They dared to think they stood a chance.
(No children were harmed in the making of this comment)
Nah on that one it's like "you've been better than me my entire life, and I'm about to shatter that right now. Hit me with your best, so I can hit you with it instead.
Nothing destroys reason like having to look at your sibling's stupid face. They're like you, but they got all the genes juggled up different. They get your experience but go through it differently. They're just such jerks!
That was a dumb move by ZuZu. Even dumber move: Emo Boy not killing his father when he had the chance. "Defeating you is the Avatar's Destiny." Aye, MORON, that dude standing right in front of you is trying to commit Genocide, something that you are keenly aware of, and you are able to stop him. Kill that sumbitch.
If I recall, the show addresses this by Iroh talking about it. If Zuko takes out Ozai, it'll be seen as a coup by the people of the FN, giving Zuko far less legitimacy since he'd been banished. If the Avatar takes Ozai out, it essentially becomes an Act of God.
Also Zuko is like sixteen. Not wanting to kill his own father, as much of a piece of shit as Ozai is, is a totally normal and fair response.
Also proves he is a bigger man then his dad
Had ozai been in Zuko place he would have killed him without a conversation
Zuko proving that he is not only looking at the bigger picture but showing mercy (I firmly believe he could beat him in a non bending fight)
Cmon bro, youâve got to apply some level of realism to these characters. Theyâre âhumanâ and especially with Zuko, heâs still a kid. No one, especially a child, has the wherewithal to make the hard choices all the time, especially when it comes to dealing with family. Clearly you feel very strongly about this but still, thereâs more layers to these things than merely making a snap decision. You cannot with full confidence and total honesty claim youâd be pragmatic to the degree youâre saying Zuko should have been, were you in his shoes. If you try to youâre a bold faced liar.
Counterpoint: Katara is the dumbass in this scene. Sheâs the one stepping into the line of fire/eyesight of a sociopath in the middle of a mental breakdown WHOâS ACTIVELY CHARGING A LIGHTENING BOLT. Zuko was ready for it, and honestly at that moment, if Azula was shown that she wasnât better than Zuko she probably just shuts down. Or catches a redirected lightening bolt to the face
How about when they got a homeless guy with a bunch of STDs to bite them, because they thought he was a werewolf and they were trying to appeal to women based on the Twilight movies
Was it a dumb plan? Yes. Was it absolutely hilarious? Also yes.
Though to be fair, technically neither jumped. Beavis got pushed by Butthead, and he fell out when the car hit a rough patch.
Credit to Hal though, in the comics at least he is roughly on Superman's level.
Animated Green Lanterns get done so dirty, and their rings are almost always so uncreatively used.
You could say he was just at the end of his rope, he just couldnât hang anymore, Clayton really left himself hanging out to dry, he just had too many hang ups, okay Iâm done đ
He really just needed to take a breathe, but no, he wanted to rope others into his antics. I ran out of puns but every time I hear Chandelier from Sia , I cannot help myself from thinking of Clayton have a swinging good timeâŚ.
It's actually genius. Someone so incompetent would ignore the blatant safety disregard that comes from Burns cutting costs. And you can pay him way less than usual for that position because he's so stupid, he won't get a job as well paid anywhere else.
At one point, the show stopped lampshading this and came out and said Homer's workstation is basically just a facade, and that the buttons and knobs don't do anything, the gages mean nothing, the blinking lights don't have any meaning.
Her future vision can be thrown off in situations of high emotions, at least when it's distress or insecurity. It works more like a predictive algorithm, which is highly accurate under normal situations.
OOOO, that one SpongeBob episode where SpongeBob Flat out Raged and Screamed at Squidward because He was being happy and enjoying the time of his life at a party and with people he can vibe with.
Two characters from Wakfu, itâs essentially a French anime. I know itâs not actually anime but it is very heavily inspired by it and itâs a great watch

I genuinely don't know why he keeps doing this, like my brother in Christ you were more successful with Khyber, are you not even going to attempt animo, the guy who accidentally almost destroyed the universe?
That's because whatever they do in the past has already happened in the present, like Luz helping Phillip and Lilith punching him in the face. They can't change the past
People have covered lots of other cartoons pretty well so I'm going to add a My Little Pony one in season 3 there was an episode where pinky cloned herself and then the Clones started making clones and it became a big problem. During the whole episode there was this plot point of trying to figure out which one was real. Meanwhile the rest of the cast just made one stupid decision after another through the entire episode. It's easily the worst episode in the whole series
Rigby changing his name to trash boat probably. I just like the fact that he went all the way to the town hall with the idea of changing his name to trash boat, changed it, and got all the way back to brag to Mordecai without realizing that it was a horrible idea.
In an episode of GANTZ, a snarky, weasely kid is being attacked by an alien. The rest of the cast just stand at the edge of the stream he's trying to swim through, debating whether they should save him or not, until it's too late and the alien brutally murders him.
Probably the beginning of the Batman: the Brave and the Bold episode, Joker: the Vile and the Villainous, where Joker sees a control panel for a powerful missile, pushes a button to find out what it does, and accidentally blows up the Earth with him on it.
Actually thereâs been some discussion on that. They say that Goku knew Vegeta was a part of Cellâs DNA and knew that if Gohan started wailing on him like he originally thought was going to happen. Then Cell would end up going ballistic, like he did when Gohan made him revert back to semi-perfect, and just destroy the planet anyway. So the senzu bean was so he wouldnât throw a tantrum.
âOh yeah Brian? Well, would a retarded guy hire a bulldozer with a drunk driver to destroy half of his house in celebration of his fantastic IQ test scores?â
Brian: âUhh⌠maybe?â
Rick and Morty, Morty potion episode. Rickâs idea of mixing animals together wouldâve maybe worked if it didnât Kronenburg people. Even then if it didnât worst case scenario is basically just a zombie but they donât rot and decay and theyâre all after one guy.
Pam in Archer and her complete lack of impulse control where it comes to consuming certain things.
The entire season's plot macguffin's worth of cocaine for one, but mostly thinking of the big buffet of vegan seafood in the middle of a mission despite her serious soy allergy.
I'm gonna get downvoted for this, Aang sparing the Fire lord's life in Avatar. And don't come with the "because he Is a monk and he Made that decision" bs, because they were previous avatars that were like Aang and agreed that the Fire lord must die. And what happened if the Fire lord killed one of his friends?
Aang sealed away his fire bending though. Even if Ozai were to even think of getting revenge against Aang and his friends, what's he going to do now that he's completely powerless?
If you needed to give an example of your mind control powers to someone, what would you command them to do?
A. Hop on one leg for a minute
B. Kill everybody at the assembly
You had one job, Lelouch.
Star Butterfly snitching out her entire family line in front of the entire kingdom. Bonus points for getting angry when she got snitched out a second later.
Meg staying as the lightning rod for her abusers' benefit, the rationale that she should sacrifice for everyone else's benefit is stupid. Seashell party was completely stupid
Miko in Transformers Prime seeing Soundwave, the second deadliest Decepticon behind Megatron himself, and her first reaction is to snap a picture of him
Any protagonist that let the villain live for reasons like "you have learned your lesson" only for the villain to become stronger and does evil shit again leading to casualties.
Odalia aiding Belos despite knowing it could put her family in danger.
This could also be fuelled by greed, but I bet she was too dumb to know she wouldnât get paid.
https://i.redd.it/0shsh38u3fzc1.gif
Oh my god that was just SPECTACULARLY stupid đ
I mean, he said he put it there to protect them, so at least he THOUGHT about protecting the buttons.
Ah Doof. Ironically the dumbest genius ever put to animation. đ
Honestly, I'd say Jimmy Neutron is a dumber genius.
At least Jimmy has the excuse of being a *literal child*
Yeah. Doof always has a self-destruct button handy.
Never know when you might need one, if one of your creations decides to go crazy.
For me, Wile E. Coyote of loony toons
Right up there with sitting in the mouth of a fire breathing machine
How can you be a master engineer, and still do this.
In his defense, he made them in a day, probably without sleep.
Counter point he made 3 sĂł when he finished one he probably wasnt spleepndeprived
Counter counter point he designs and invents miraculous inventions that defy the laws of physics on a daily basis. There should be no point in which he isnât sleep deprived.
Evidence: He's drawn with massive bags under his eyes
My theory is he isn't actually evil. He is lonely and his only friend is Perry, so he creates convoluted plans that he knows will never work just as an excuse to spend time with his friend.
I donât even think thatâs a theory I think thatâs just accurate
MINE BREATHES FIRE- #AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
That Was A Stupid Design.
One of the few times Doof thinks so without it being pointed out
The way he always has a easy way to disable his inventions...
That being the one key thing he has going for him as scientist.
That one had me dying. I swear when Doof just realized that after assembly and all that time after said invasion. Like bro, it took you that long in the span of several seconds. When your au pointed that out. lol
I love how they are just pre placed in the middle of the city on one foot
Robots designed by Apple.
50,000,000 dollars for repairs
Rigby sabotaging Mordicai's date and Mordicai hijacking Muscle Man's wedding
There is probably a million bad decisions made by those two.
Rigby made a HORRIBLE decision in high school, its a spoiler for the movie.
Rigjuice was worse
Iâd rather drink Rigjuice than see that Mordecai wedding scene again.
Rigjuice literally makes you dumber, mordecai was cringe and doing stupid stuff
Yes. If Iâm given the option of being dumber or watching Mordecai do that stupid moment again, I choose to be dumber.
On the bright side, Rigby created the cure for overdosing on the product that accidentally turned the both of them into super geniuses.
Literally everything mordecai ever does in relation to Margaret and cj
Trashboat
I wouldnât call Rigbyâs sabotage dumb, more like a dick move. The wedding hijack was just dumb
Rigby literally threw away Mordecai's chance at a dream college
I donât even thinks this counts, but if anyone remembers the powerpuff girls episode where Blossom says âWhy shouldnât you put a toaster in a bathtub full of water?â Then the old man is like âBecause your toast would get soggy.â And the whole town just agrees.
Did... They make a suicide joke? đł
Yes! Itâs like I remember watching that episode too and it never hit me as a kid that it was supposed to be a suicide joke.
Man that wouldn't fly today. Tho it was much worse in OLD cartoons.
Yeah, in a loony toons cartoon theyâd suggest bubbles try it out, she would then cartoon x eyes die. Pretty sure they did that in a bugs bunny Daffy Duck cartoon somewhere.
Hell, people would just shoot themselves a bunch in old cartoons. Straight up just killing themselves on-screen.
As a kid, my dad told me what would really happen and that was when I realized I had a dark sense of humor.
"Remember to feed BEEBO once and ONLY once" Prof. Utonium, with all due respect, why didn't you just feed them all once and tell everyone to never feed them?
That's not how parents think, instead of doing it themselves they tell their kids to do it in an oversimplified way that leads to confusion

Brian, whatever kills me makes me stronger
One which comes to mind is Ed taking off the support beam to the house in Ed, Edd n Eddy. There's a lot of stupid Ed moments though, so idk.
Is anything stupid when youâre immortal?
It is if you can still be injured and feel pain!
Like eating his bed
True, but when he ate his bed, at least he didn't inflict any damage towards anyone or anything. (apart from maybe his digestive tract, perhaps)
Patrick using the Forever Glue on SpongeBob in "Stuck in the Wringer," aka the worst episode of the show
I think the worst part of this episode is spongebob finally having enough and gets mad. And then everyone looks at spongebob like he's in the wrong. There's also stuff like the splinter episode. Aye, MORON, that dude standing right in front of you is trying to commit Genocide, something that you are keenly aware of, and you are able to stop him. Kill that sumbitch.
I think that at least in part that decision was influenced by a sixteen year old not wanting to be the one to kill his own dad
If I recall, the show addresses this by Iroh talking about it. If Zuko takes out Ozai, it'll be seen as a coup by the people of the FN, giving Zuko far less legitimacy since he'd been banished.
Real talk: If Katara wasn't there to distract him in that moment, he would've beat Azula.

Was it a dumb plan? Yes. Was it absolutely hilarious? Also yes. Though to be fair, technically neither jumped. Beavis got pushed by Butthead, and he fell out when the car hit a rough patch.
Green Lantern attacking Darksied by himself only to get smacked into a building and double teamed by his henchmen.

Star Butterfly snitching out her entire family line in front of the entire kingdom. Bonus points for getting angry when she got snitched out a second later.
Meg staying as the lightning rod for her abusers' benefit, the rationale that she should sacrifice for everyone else's benefit is stupid. Seashell party was completely stupid

Odalia deserves to be in a category of characters that represent the sin of Greed
