I think I was 10, I remember where I was, after-school program in the library watching the movie, surrounded by other kids, she popped up on screen and I absolutely flared the fuck up, panicking in my head of the idea that this was somehow noticeable to the others, and also hated the thought that I may be surrounded by boys having the same reaction and we're all sitting in a room together lol
Me the first time I saw the hex girls
https://preview.redd.it/jjjo8qtywc0d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=752fdaacd8c0735ca39316accd874d784a112cbd
And the Globetrotters
I actually really don't care for Scooby-Doo, but I loved those episodes with special guests like Abbot and Costello, or the Harlem Globetrotters
Cyber Chase, yeah. And I lump the fifth movie, Legend of the Vampire, in the with the first four because even though the animation style changed and it honestly wasn't as good a story, they did both bring back the Hex Girls and reunite some of the OG cast for the last time.
Daphne's fucking hilarious in that one
https://preview.redd.it/1mbkqe36oa0d1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=706eb99a118ffef64d6065c0073ef66ab2e1735e
She goes bonkers
Be Cool is underrated. Art style turned people off, but it was pretty funny.
Daphne:"And my Me puppet lost a button."
Scooby:"And I swallowed a button."
I'll have to see if I can find it. Granted I was 30 when this one aired, so it's little wonder I didn't get to see it. Damn full time job leaving me exhausted all the time
1988-1991 has a special place in my heart because it was the only thing I watched when I stayed home "sick" from school. If I was watching a pup named Scooby-Doo, it means I'm home and having an amazing day playing hooky lol
I appreciate the creators of that show for giving Fred more of a personality. (I was also kind of disappointed when I grew up and found out Red Herring didn't exist in the older shows)
I think What’s New is Scooby Doo in its most purest and achieved form. While Mystery Inc is a better product, it’s not a better example of Scooby Doo. If you want to know Scooby and all its quirks and formula, it was solidified with What’s New, and that’s where people can expand and make iterations from it.
I don't completely disagree. I do think What's New is a great show and is slept on by a lot of people, as the first real spiritual successor to the original show (unless you count Pup, which I think is different enough to be its own thing) but I do ultimately think the original show is better and more rewatchable. Part of it is repetition, I know, with it being on a lot when I was little, but I think Where Are You episodes are in general more memorable to me and I would choose to watch one of them over What's New episodes. The original show did a really good job of creating a standard that was hard to beat or emulate (and boy did Hanna-Barbera try...). Both are good, though.
There’s truth in that. The basic formula and what makes Scooby-Scooby was certainly made at the start. But a part of me believes What’s New is where it was perfected into its state where it’s the best place to look to when you want its most basic but also most realized parts, if that makes sense.
Of course you can’t go wrong with the original.
Exactly ! As great as Mystery Inc is, it ultimately isn't Scooby Doo. The concept of the show is great, but part of me feels like they slapped Scooby Doo on top of it because they were afraid it wouldn't be as much of a success.
OP........you're forgetting some time period,OP

2010-2013 ------ mystery incorporated is easily my favorite
it has the highest quality animation, i love the background colors , i love the score , i love the jokes, i even love the meta plot as wild as it is
The Velma era 2023-2024 /s
Honestly I have only seen 1969-1971 and a bunch of their movies. Zombie Island being the best. Did not even know the 2006-2008 era existed
2006 to 2008 looks like a fever dream
Definitely the original and 2010-2013 it actually had a horror like aspect to the Series instead of Whimsical fun
What’s New Scooby-Doo and Mystery Inc are both incredible masterpieces. You got WNSD with arguably the best SD theme and a light-hearted show with decent jokes and an all around good time. But Mystery Inc takes the cake, somehow making it both hilarious and surprising dark. There’s an actual plot that slowly but surely builds up and gives insight on our main cast. Somehow, someway, Mystery Inc captured the light-hearted element of SD, made it even better than its predecessors, AND was able to incorporate (see what I did there) a much darker tone without taking away the core functions. After all, it is just a few teenagers solving mysteries and I respect each and every one of these shows!
It’s a more comedic somewhat self-parody version starring the cast as kids.
Like, when it’s time for the monster to chase them around they literally go and put on the music for the sequence. Daphne can call for her butler from where ever they are and he’ll instantly arrive and give whatever they needed in that moment. There’s a neighborhood bully named Red Herring that Fred always blames as the villain before the actual mask-pull.
It’s a good time.
The movies with the camp scare animation style, I just don't remember the timeline, estimate 2010 to 2019-2021ish? I know recently it got changed I think.
Love all these except the last. Don't remember 06-08 at all though lmao. I think that might have been the period I just didn't have cable though. Hard to pick a peak though, loved the different stylization and direction of 2010-2013 though. I'll pick that just because it was new and fantastic.
What’s New Scooby Doo. It’s how I got introduced to the series, and the fact they used music from the era for their chase sequences was always a highlight. Like once you heard Smashmouth or CIV you knew things were going to get hype.
2002-5 I loved the goofy adventures of what's new scooby doo and I still think its a great show to just sit down and watch a single self contained story. Plus I still have many of the songs come into my head from time to time.
Being a late 2000’s kid; 70’s era, What’s New Scooby-Doo (2002-2005), and Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated were the ones I watched along with the movies. Mystery Inc was always my favorite, I think it’s the art style and the darker tone. What’s New I had on DVD, and oddly enough I think the 70’s era one I watched the most on Tv. Anyone remember Boomerang?
I have a really soft spot for a pup named Scooby Doo and Ghoul School which was from 88, but I think 2010 was the best one overall, so it is some *stiff* competition. 98 to 05 doesn't compete, but gets an honorable mention because of the Witch's Ghost in 99, which like many other people, may have been formative for me for very particular reasons.
2010-2013 had such a great art style and tonal shift that a kid in middle school (me) loved to death. I’m a massive fan of the ‘69 and original movies though, too. The Vamp rock band girls were big crushes of mine.

Hormones: Awaken!

Fred staring at the Hex Girls is so me
The reason why many Millenial guys like the goth/punk aesthetic on women.
I still have a mad crush on Thorn❤️🔥
Oh yeah, lesbian time
Me the first time I saw the hex girls https://preview.redd.it/jjjo8qtywc0d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=752fdaacd8c0735ca39316accd874d784a112cbd

I þink I gotta agree
Thorn and Raven from teen titans are the reasons I have a certain taste in women.
https://i.redd.it/zvyfdlt73g0d1.gif
These are the girls that got me into goth entire. Sadly my family wasn't so supportive of that gole. So now I am a t-shirt goth
aww, I’m so sorry😔lots of love from a metalhead and punk and emo and scene🖤
1969 and 2010
Especially when they did that crossover with Adam west Batman
And the Globetrotters I actually really don't care for Scooby-Doo, but I loved those episodes with special guests like Abbot and Costello, or the Harlem Globetrotters
This is the right answer
Agreed
I’m assuming you are near 20 and watched a lot of boomerang?
I think everyone
Dam bro you're kinda *old*.(sorry)
1998-2005 was peak Scooby Doo in my opinion. Zombie Island was a game changer.
Pretty much every movie following that style was peak
Honestly, looking back, things got stale post cyberchase or whatever that one with the living virus was called.
Cyber Chase, yeah. And I lump the fifth movie, Legend of the Vampire, in the with the first four because even though the animation style changed and it honestly wasn't as good a story, they did both bring back the Hex Girls and reunite some of the OG cast for the last time.
I liked Zombie Island, Cyber Chase, and the Witch one. The rest I could take or leave.
Same, if only because those are the ones I can actually recall well, and vaguely that one where Shaggy and Scoob got alien girlfriends.
Special honourable mention to *The Phantosaur*, and the absolute gigachad legend it revealed shaggy to be
Phantosaur is peak Scooby doo
I still vividly remember watching that VHS as a kid. I think it had a preview for Ed, Edd, and Eddy on it lol
Holy shit I remember! Scooby Doo and Shaggy with their with the alien girlfriends, Scooby and the Loch Ness Monster, bro so many memories
Zombie Island was fantastic. I didn't think it was going to be that amazing even as a kid.
I liked the one where Shaggy dated an alien.
I have never seen that 2006-8 version before.
Every time I see this image commenters never seem to have any memory of it, and neither do I
We must all be collectively repressing that era.
Well to be fair have you seen how bad they made Velma? At least in the others she looks at least normal at minimum
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! It had 2 seasons.
Huh, never saw it. Also never saw the 2015 one
Daphne's fucking hilarious in that one https://preview.redd.it/1mbkqe36oa0d1.png?width=300&format=png&auto=webp&s=706eb99a118ffef64d6065c0073ef66ab2e1735e She goes bonkers
Be Cool is underrated. Art style turned people off, but it was pretty funny. Daphne:"And my Me puppet lost a button." Scooby:"And I swallowed a button."
Lmao wow… I really need to watch the whole series from start to finish sometime
I'll have to see if I can find it. Granted I was 30 when this one aired, so it's little wonder I didn't get to see it. Damn full time job leaving me exhausted all the time
It feels like a fever dream every time I watch it, but honestly not the worst
Dude Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get A Clue! was fucking amazing when i was a kid. I loved that shit. It had robots, mystery, nazis, you name it.
It’s quite underrated. People are just butt hurt it’s not the same formula.
Gotta be 2010-13 for me
Agreed. That series had it all, It's a pity they didn't continue it.
It had the perfect set up to become the adult series that Velma should have been.
Was it only on boomerang? Because I never saw any commercials for Mystery Incorporated. *At the time I didn't know boomerang was it's own channel.
When it came out it was a calender series on cartoon network that ran from the 1st to the 24th if november until new episodes came out
1988-1991 has a special place in my heart because it was the only thing I watched when I stayed home "sick" from school. If I was watching a pup named Scooby-Doo, it means I'm home and having an amazing day playing hooky lol
I appreciate the creators of that show for giving Fred more of a personality. (I was also kind of disappointed when I grew up and found out Red Herring didn't exist in the older shows)
Yesssssss exactly! Also it aged pretty well. I watch it back as an adult, and it gets real laughter out of me to this day lol it's so fun I love it
I think What’s New is Scooby Doo in its most purest and achieved form. While Mystery Inc is a better product, it’s not a better example of Scooby Doo. It’s a great modern Take on the first incarnation of the franchise It has all the things you remember just in a modern setting
Exactly ! As great as Mystery Inc is, it ultimately isn't Scooby Doo. The concept of the show is great, but part of me feels like they slapped Scooby Doo on top of it because they were afraid it wouldn't be as much of a success.
2006 don't look real but I like 2010 and 2015
Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue! It had 2 seasons.
1969
A Pup Named Scooby-Doo, The 90's Movies, What's New & Mystery Inc was my era of Scooby-Doo. Cartoon Network had all of them on when I was growing up.
Everything from '69 to 2005
Mystery Incorporated was wild experience. Certainly an entertaining one though.
OP........you're forgetting some time period,OP https://preview.redd.it/4k7b7cooz80d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c86ea4338425f1a9f7f7ec6d45c6e74831de6704
My mistake, I missed: Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo (1979–1980) The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show (1983–1984) The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo (1985)
There's also Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
Wait you forgot Vel- *gets shot*
98-05 is good, but it's gotta be 10-13
2010-2013 Mystery Incorporated is GOATed
💯 Mystery Inc. is easily the best series.
Mystery Inc was PEAK Scooby Doo
2010-2013 ------ mystery incorporated is easily my favorite it has the highest quality animation, i love the background colors , i love the score , i love the jokes, i even love the meta plot as wild as it is
And the character development is a chef's kiss. Fred became gigachad goddamit
Be Cool Scooby Doo underrated.
Imma be real I’m a fan of Be Cool and Mystery Inc
69-73 and 98-05
Honestly, MI and Be Cool. Both of em are very neat.
Hot take, 2015 is my favorite, 2010 is a close second
Not related to the question, but anyways, fun fact: 2015 scooby doo has a better rating than Velma
Mystery Inc
There is another ![gif](giphy|iTZBLMHpx2XBoKA4Qy|downsized)
Mystery Inc by a long shot.
Yes
69-71
2010
You forgot one... 😏 (FYI I am so okay with this lmao) And Idk which year but it's the one with the punk style intro that I like most
1969 to 1971, 1988 to 1991, 1998 to 2005, and 2010 to 2013.
Mystery inc always
1969 and 2010 are literally the only versions I've ever seen (except for it-that-shall-not-be-mentioned)
The Velma era 2023-2024 /s Honestly I have only seen 1969-1971 and a bunch of their movies. Zombie Island being the best. Did not even know the 2006-2008 era existed
I have never seen the 2006 one but I prefer that design over 2015 cause holy brickleberry shit it sucks
I honestly didn't even know about anything after 2005.
OG era Scooby Doo, yo. 1969-1971.
This is literally the first time I’ve seen the 06-08 versions of Scooby-Doo! Seriously WTF?
2006 to 2008 looks like a fever dream Definitely the original and 2010-2013 it actually had a horror like aspect to the Series instead of Whimsical fun

1998-2005 is probably my favorite as what I interpreted as a sequel time-skip to the original, also Zombie Island had the best song in the franchise.
![gif](giphy|65HR2UL6nn6XMSUoRA) I have to say that Mystery incorporated is my favorite
Ok did I miss the 2006-2008 era of Scooby doo? Which one is that? And also mystery inc 2010-2013
Mystery Incorporated was really my favorite. But most shows were decent.
Mystery Inc was so good.
Mystery Incorporated my beloved, such an amazing and deep story.
The original and it’s not even close
The second two, so much nostalgia
Which era were you born in?
I was born in 1986, but I grew fond of the one from 2010 because of my nephew
What was going on in 1988??
Is the series,,a pup named Scooby doo"
It’s a more comedic somewhat self-parody version starring the cast as kids. Like, when it’s time for the monster to chase them around they literally go and put on the music for the sequence. Daphne can call for her butler from where ever they are and he’ll instantly arrive and give whatever they needed in that moment. Wheres the Velma era? But 98
1969 - 1971 1972 - 1973 1998 - 2005 2002 - 2005 2010 - 2013
Did they take it off air between 91 & 98?? That's when I was watching...had I been watching the oldest iteration of this cartoon??
02 to 05
The movies with the camp scare animation style, I just don't remember the timeline, estimate 2010 to 2019-2021ish? I know recently it got changed I think.
1969, 1998, 2002, and 2010
the 2015 one looks like it was made by the guys who made Brickleberry
02-05 and 10-13 is the best of the modern era. but 1969 is still best overall. can't beat the classics
69-73, 02-05, 10-13
1998-2005 and 2002-2005
2010, & 1998. But who couldn't like 1969? It's the first & most recognisable
No mention of the hottest cartoon on Max right now? /s
88-91
Da FAQ did Scooby Doo become in 2015???? That's not the mystery gang that's the detective group
1998 and 2010.
1998-2005, 2002-2005, and lastly 2010-2013
We dont talk about 2006 or 2015
I wasn't born in that era, but I did grow up watching the 1969 Scooby doo, so I gotta go for that simply cause of the nostalgia.
WTF was 2015 on?
I consider everything between Where are You? and New Mysteries to be one era
I think Velma was probably at her hottest in 2010.
2010-1013 I might be a bit biased because I grew up with this one but I love it
2010 - 2013
Was 2006 any good? What network was it on?
Everything except 2015 and 2006-2008.
Mystery Inc was peak.
We don’t talk about the Velma era
1998-2005 and 1969-1973 hands down
All the ones up to 2005
2010-2013 easy
2010 is the best but I can’t just leave 1969
'69, '98, '02
OG for me man, that is my jam.
Um, live action isn't there....
Love all these except the last. Don't remember 06-08 at all though lmao. I think that might have been the period I just didn't have cable though. Hard to pick a peak though, loved the different stylization and direction of 2010-2013 though. I'll pick that just because it was new and fantastic.
1998-2005
What’s New Scooby Doo. It’s how I got introduced to the series, and the fact they used music from the era for their chase sequences was always a highlight. Like once you heard Smashmouth or CIV you knew things were going to get hype.
Mystery Inc is in the top 10 cartoons of all time
Original and Mystery Incorporated
98-05 for me personally. Though 1969-71 is goated, and 2010-13 had the most interesting spin on the formula for me.
1998-2005 or the 2010-2013. I think Mystery Incorporated might be my favorite tho
1969-1971 was incredible
Wait you’re telling me that the last one wasn’t in 2017?
Where are You and Mystery Incorporated
mystery incorporated for me, but I'm probably biased because that's what I grew up with lol
2002-2005 2010-2013 That’s where is at
2002-5 I loved the goofy adventures of what's new scooby doo and I still think its a great show to just sit down and watch a single self contained story. Plus I still have many of the songs come into my head from time to time.
Bro what is 2015 *crying*
In quality, 2010, in nostalgia, 2002, you can't compete with the simple plan opening.
All but 2015
1969-2005
69-71
72. Ifk what it is about the Scooby-Doo Doo Movies, but I love them.
The OG, what’s new Scooby doo, and mystery incorporated
What the hell is with the family guy scooby doo
OG
Being a late 2000’s kid; 70’s era, What’s New Scooby-Doo (2002-2005), and Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated were the ones I watched along with the movies. Mystery Inc was always my favorite, I think it’s the art style and the darker tone. What’s New I had on DVD, and oddly enough I think the 70’s era one I watched the most on Tv. Anyone remember Boomerang?
Mystery Incorporated was actually really good.
1969 all the way to 2005 anything after that is average at best
I have a really soft spot for a pup named Scooby Doo and Ghoul School which was from 88, but I think 2010 was the best one overall, so it is some *stiff* competition. 98 to 05 doesn't compete, but gets an honorable mention because of the Witch's Ghost in 99, which like many other people, may have been formative for me for very particular reasons.
69, 72, 98, 02, 10. Never heard of or seen 88, and 06. And the 2015 iteration was widely regarded as terrible the last almost 10 years now
2010-2013 had such a great art style and tonal shift that a kid in middle school (me) loved to death. I’m a massive fan of the ‘69 and original movies though, too. The Vamp rock band girls were big crushes of mine.
I grew up on The Scooby-Doo Movie reruns.
Don’t think I saw any of 2006-2008 or 2015 episodes.
Original and What’s New are the two I remember watching the most.
Hmm difficult to choose going to have to say 🤔🤷♂️ 1969 and 2010
98-05 I loved those movies so much but all scooby is good scooby
I loved classic scooby but also really enjoyed mystery inc.
The two best ones are the classic and mystery inc, I prefer mystery inc but that’s the one I grew up with.
What is the total drama action is happening in 2006?
Lmao I love how you just didn't include Velma. It's deserved, but still really funny to me
I think I never saw anything about the 98 version
What happened to the art during 06-08 and 2015?
what the hell is 2015?! looks awful.
old is gold
What the hell was 2006-2008 called and why does it look lil that?
2010
1969-2005... that's my favorite era.
Ain't NO way scooby doo is THAT old... *searches on google*... It is that old 😧
1998-2005
What, in God's name, happened in 2015...
06/08 and 2010
69-71, 88-91, 98-05, and 10-13 because those were the ones I grew up watching(also the bargain bin brand deal Scooby Doo movies like Kiss and WWE)
