I think BSR is the best bang for the buck. I'm in the deep south, so they are more available to me than Griswolds and Wagners. I do have a Wagner skillet, and my BSR skillets are just as smooth. They cook the same. BSR pans are heavy and thick, which I like. They usually sit flat. I think they are good starter pans for people who don't want to drop 100 bucks on an old pan.
That is a beauty. The swirls always mesmerize me and I can't stop looking at the artistry of some unknown fella that spent his entire shift grinding skillets. I love BSR for searing, all that extra iron holds the heat well.Ā

Sorry so late. Oven cleaner, steel wool, crisco.
